Hi Everyone, This may come across to most if not all as a ridiculous question, however I am wondering if there is a way to convert a CaptainSim 777-200er (rr) repaint to the PMDG 777-200er (rr)? I am wondering as there are multiple repaints of a livery I would like that are currently available for the CaptainSim 772er but are nonexistent for the PMDG 772er. If anyone could give some insight or just a short answer on this that would be much appreciated. Best Regards, Todu777.

I am painting the Phenom 300 and have everything completed except for this tiny area on the baggage door (LHS). I have the correct colours on the texture file, in the correct place, but they are not showing on the model in P3D. Any suggestions would be bery helpful and are of course welcome!! Hi. Im trying to track down Tony Fosler. It appears he did a repaint of the Compass Virtual A306 (at least his name is on the texture sheet). We want to include that in a data upload and Im trying to get his permission to use it until we do our own version. Any info appreciated please.

So I am making a repaint for the 747-400D from PMDG. I know how to make some very basic repaints, but that's about it. Right now, I currently have a blue line that goes down the side of the plane and then turns upward where it will go up the tail. I am curious to know whether there are any easy ways to line up the paint between the fuselage and the tail, or if it is all trial and error. So is there a trick to lining it up? Thanks .

Howdy all! GermanEagle here, aka Patrick. I'm working on repaints for Flight Simulator X, and have been doing as much research as I can on the best ways and techniques to do repaints. One question that I'm having trouble finding an answer to, is what images other painters use to add detail to the passenger windows to give them a little more flair. I've tried searching Google for ideas, but all I get are pictures from within the passenger cabin (mostly looking out the windows). And, what I'm trying to do is find images to use, so that when you're looking at the plane from the outside, it almost looks like you're looking inside the cabin. And, this would help with ligh…

Hi, I have question, can I made my own livery and add it to JF 757 or I need to use only their paid liveries, which installs with their livery add-on manager? JF 757 is free, but liveries need to be paid. Right now I have only default BA and one of their free AA livery. I wan't to make my own DHL, I did some job and wanted to see what I did. Copied folder with textures in plane folder, made changes in aircraft.cfg file. FS do load plane, but instead my DHL textures, it displays default BA. I did convert to dds format, just like I did with some other textures that I did before for some other planes.

I would like to replace a alpha from a DDS5 texture wit a modified alpha. I can do this one by one, but I have a lot of folders containing a dds texture of which I need to replace the Alpha. Is there a batch tool for this. It will save me a lot of time, possible errors and more. the specific texture is from a AI aircraft of which the Tail alpha causes flickering in MSFS, by painting this part black I can get rid of the flickering light.

Is there a way to paint an aircraft without using the texture folder in FSX?

I have Milviz Porter Steam version and as usual searched repaints for it. One of the most useful for my purposes would have been Jankees' Australian Army version and the Talair colours. Pity they don't show in FSX. The German EDRM guy altered his P3D repaints to fit the FSX too. So, what's the trick? Both P3D and FSX paints have same dds files and same names. Only difference I've noticed is the size. The original paints that come with the plane amount to 30mb and the hybrid skins to 200mb each. I have Photoshop and basic computer skills...

Hello, guys! I'm back at developing some liveries and stuff for P3D after a year, maybe. And I'm facing a 'I don't know how to do this' situation. I want to make a straight grey livery for PMDG 737, but I've found that the glossiness in the texture is way superior that I want. The question is: is there any chances to make a full matt livery? Without any reflections. What should I mess with? Alpha channels, maybe? Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Good Morning, I would like to change the colour of the altitude and speed readouts in the PC24 as they are green and hard to read. Just wondering if anyone would know how to change it to magenta? I have been rather puzzled by the way textures are stored and named in this new sim. So first off - has anyone started a thread that covers the creation of the many various separate paint textures and what JavaScript files are there fore? (the .json ones) Is there a texture size limit such as 4096 x 4096. Do we need a Texture Max Load plugin? Are we still using BXTBMP to convert the image sheets - incidentally DXTBMP seems unable to open some of these. What format do we save the DDS files in? Flipping - is that still an issue? Hello Simmers, I've searched high and low and cannot find a SAS New Livery for the PMDG NGXu 737-800. I've found one in the avsim library for the -800 NGX but not for the -800 NGXu. Does anyone know if this livery exists yet and/or provide a link to where I can find it? Thank you. James

Hey Team, I know this is a long shot considering the voluntary aspect but I was hoping there would be someone who is interested in joining the team with an in development Virtual Airline. As such I'm looking for someone who can create some custom liveries for a range of aircraft. The designs I had in mind were simplistic but the more you can add to them, the better. Again acknowledging the amount of time and effort that goes into these things I appreciate majority of people would want to be financially rewarded however I am calling upon someone who is generous enough to volunteer for this type of request. I am starting to get back into aircraft painting after a year long break. Since that time I have had to reinstall my operating system on my laptop and reinstalled photoshop CC2020. I downloaded and installed the NVIDIA _Texture_Tools_Exporter_Adobe_Photoshop. I can open the .DDS files and paint on them, but when I got to save them I get this message: Error: Creating the window GLFW Failed! Internal Info?: Pluggin::initialize pluggin,line 3684. I think I may have either downloaded and installed the wrong plug-in, or installed the plug in wrong.

Howdy all, I am currently working on a few textures but having trouble getting some references of the lion located on the nose of the current Ethiopian Airlines aircraft. I found a FS 2004 version of the Alaska Airlines opb Sky West E-175 repaint, but the fuselage coloring is a bit dark. The author didn't do a FSX version and is P3D only now. I was hoping that I could find a painter who has done the livery for themselves and would be willing to share. Thanks, Ernie

Hello guys, I'm looking for some advice here...i used to work with DXTbmp to convert textures and edit the alphachannels. But for some reason it doesn't work anymore as it wont open any texture files. The last one i worked on was a texture file for a MSFS Prop and it worked like a charm. Now a few weeks later i am not able to open the exact same (stock)texture anymore. Reinstalling DXTbmp didn't help. Anyone having a clue what might be causing this? Best regards, Tom

I have some existing textures for the Carenado Archer II. I made a very minor change to the fuselage texture and saved it, when the plane loads the texture is polished silver! I believe this is related to the Alpha channel, but not sure. Can anyone tell me why this happens and how to fix it? Thanks, JCH
