Hey guys . I am writing you regarding a weird problem i faced during the repainting process of Carenado's Embraer 120 Brasilia . Now i am relatively new into making repaints . And i never had a problem like this for the previous carenado planes like the ATR 42 for example which i could easily see my repaints only with 2 DDS files . But for some reason for the B120 i had to put more DDS files in the texture folder and i still face this issue . So i am sending you a photo of the problem below . I hope you can help me . Decided to to these two on my own since nobody really seems to sympathize with the late SkyBus. Somehow, and not even being American, i found these two particular liveries from them very nice and so here they are. I forgot to mention they are for Aerosoft Airbus PRO in the description text which makes it a little bit hard to figure out without downloading and reading the readme, so i am posting them here as well. In the "Select Aircraft" window my livery looks proper from both sides, but after pressing "OK" button and returning to the main "Create a flight" window, the left side of fuselage (only the LEFT!) is blurry. And after loading a flight with this aircraft the left side of fuselage and wings tips are blurry. Right side of the fuselage is norm. This livery was painted by me from scratch using standard WILCO paint kit. Please, help me with this annoying issue. All screenshots:

Hello, so I am new repainting and I'm trying to repaint the 747-800 from PMDG but need some help. 1. How do I select just the colors from the master fuselage file and place them in the appropriate file in the paint kit and get them to line up? For example I need to copy the front section from master fuselage file and paste it into the fuselage1 file from the paint kit. 2. Does it matter if a little paint goes outside the section that is read by the sim. I am using the polygonal lasso tool to draw around the edge of the plane to make a selection to paint but sometimes it's hard to bee %100 accurate. So I will start out by disclosing that I do NOT own the Captain Sim 767. At least not yet. I was approached to do a repaint by a friend that DOES own the CS767, and he's doing all of the texture tests and shooting me back screenshots for fitment and testing purposes. As the wing paintkit is a flat texture, I was getting frustrated with being unable to get the color on the wings to match the fuselage. I found a workaround that seems to do the job in Photoshop, but when I get screenshots back from my buddy, it looked as if something just doesn't match up. Is it available somewhere to legally downlad ? The only one I see is the substitute at the Avsim library (the "blank" one) which seems more adapted to the other Duke (cf. the readme advises not to paint the nacelles).

Hi guys, I just started to learn painting of the 777 but I have encounter some issue. After I paint the a/c, I crop and save it as TGA and then convert TGA to DDS with image flip and alpha. I have no issue with the fuse 1, 2 and tail. However, when i move to fuse 3. the paint is distorted and looks way off. Any one knows why? I will include the picture of it as attachment. hi , i need some help for a repaint i made on the birdcage corsair from just flight , i made new textures for the plane , it does not have specular maps but i have created specular maps for my repaint and put it in the texture folder . but in game my spec maps are not showing , but my repaint is ok. can you tell me if i have to edit a config file or anything else to have it works ? as you see here , i made some paint chip effects for the base skin with spec maps but they do not show in game . here the effect on working on a p47 from A2A here the same effect but working on a corsair from airacraft factory

Hi everyone I have a major problem with the tail textures of the PMDG 747-400 QOTSII models in P3D ... the tail lighting is very dim compared with exactly the same livery files on the same aircraft in FSX. I have created night texture files using the common _L file and compared those files in both simulator programs. It seems there must be addition files in P3D which need alteration, perhaps to do with PBR? Any suggestions will be welcomed. Cheers, Brian

I was attempting to make a livery for my VA using a paintkit for the Zibo 737-800 using GIMP. After finishing up the simple details (I am quite new to texturing) I used a GIMP plugin to turn the file into a DDS file. The problem is that the textures either show up as grey or as the default livery (American) in game. When you look at the file in File Explorer, a preview isn't available in contrast to the default files. Does anyone know where the problem is? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am trying to design a custom livery for PMDG 777. However I am having issues. Firstly, I am using photoshop and coreldraw. In the psd file the design looks fine but in the sim the colour kind of breaks when zooming out and Some colour dissapears. Hi There! It's been too long since I last dabbled in any repaints and I'd like a refresher course; psd to dds etc. This is for the Sky Simulations MD-11 V2.0 paintkit by the way.. I've got a couple of paint requests posted up, but no takers so far (I am being patient :) ). So, I was also going to see if I've got the tools to do the job rather than having to buy any other packages. I've got paint.net and DXTbmp. The MD-11 paintkit has photoshop files. Paint.net opens the psd files no problem and displays their layers, DXT does not. How do I go about getting the paintkit file into FSX? I presume I need to save it in dds format once I've finished with paint.net - D…

Many years ago I bought the Abacus FSrepaint, and enjoyed using in with FSX. Moverd over to P3D and found I had to got through the conversion process with DXTBMP - a great program. A couple weeks ago I went on a hunt for a 3rd party program - like FSrepaint - that would work with P3D. Found one; an updated FSRe[aint created by the developer that built the original sold by Abacus. Been using it these past few days, and what a wonder. It really works. Been away from flight sims for a few months after cleaning everything flight sim related from my PC . Short story; installed P3Dv4 and reinstalled everything. I did a couple of repaint of planes and helicopters. Moved their textures, and needed aircraft.cfg addon, into the appropriate aircraft.cfg places. Fired up P3Dv4 to find they did not show up. Bought a JSS simulations C-160, and using their paint kit, along with DXTbmp and paint shop pro, repainted the base paint. Saved, returned the mod to DXT.bmp and saved in in the AC textures-where it belongs. The problem is its not showing on the plane when I fire up P3d with that plane selected.
