Have noticed when there is complete overcast and I take off once I get through the overcast and the sky becomes clear it is also completly clear below me. Is this normal? It's like the overcast clouds just disapear. ThanksBrad

HiHaving read all the different messages on DWC, with some people having differing views on its use I'm still a bit unsure if I should use it or not.Is is correct that when flying with DWC enabled, if I am flying at FL200 over London and I was able to get a ATIS at Glasgow 300 miles away it would give me the same current weather that is around my aircraft over London.If so I would much prefer Realistic FSX weather and be prepared to put up with the odd cloud pop or 'slight' wind shift during flight, so should I use Standard mode and use FSUIPC to attempt to smooth out any wind or pressure change. Since I have installed ASE last Saturday I have made 20-25 flights from 30 minutes to 11 hours in duration. With very few exceptions the wind direction and speed have never agreed between ATIS, and122.025 when approaching the airport and Shift + Z when on the ground. The altimeter is usually close. I have had wind ground speeds reported as high as 61 and at KATL I got a temperatue of -48C from ATIS today. Yesterday ATIS in a matter of 15 minutes reported wind direction at KTPA that required I land north twice and south twice. The runway heading a KTPA is 007/187. hi,I've been using ASE for a few months with no problem except the wind effects which are exagerated especially when on autopilot.Now I've a new computer with w7. Whenever I reach my destination I end up in a cloud layer (see screnshots). What's wrong with my settings? I have the B 642 version.Thank you

Each time I load ASE I need to reactivate it. Nothing has changed regarding my programs that normally run with FSX (ASE is on the FSX PC).. I did clone my hard drive for a larger one but don't see how that could matter. So far the activations are successful but isn't there a limit? Hi,Purchased ASE this weekend. Am getting the error:Problem checking for access rights to FSX aircraft folders. You may need to adjust your windows security rights and if running Vista, make sure you run this program as administrator (right click the X Gauge Wizard icon). This can also occur when FSX is open. Make sure it is CLOSED before trying again.Have Windows 7 Pro 64-bit running w/ SP/1. FSX running with SP2 (no other packs). Hello, I had .NET Framework and Windows Update problems. With the help of Microsoft Support I had to uninstall (delete) all the .NET versions installed on my PC. I reinstalled the versions 2, 3.5 and 4 and finally I test my FSX and it seams OK again.BUT when I start AES I receive errors. For me the SP2 of FSX seams still installed and I do not "see" the relation with the .NET Problems I had. Do I need to add/remove (I read the documentation ....;)) FSX SP? Really? and install the FSX SP1 AND the FSX SP2 again??No risk?Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I've recently pruchased a new computer due to my old one dying - I've encountered some problems while trying to use ASE...When I start FS and load up at an airport ASE isn't sending weather to the sim - Also, on the main screen the 'lock to closest' is displaying an airport nowhere near me (KSEA) when I'm at (GCTS) I've tried installing ASE again numerous times but nothing seems to work. When I use ASE on a network computer, I don't run FSUIPC Wide Client, so I presume its connecting via Simconnect, is this correct. The weather in FSX never agrees with what ASE says it should be. I won't go into details at this time as its the subject of another post.Secondly, if I run ASE on the same computer as FSX is there much of a resource drain on that computer.Glen

HiSystem:FSX PC windows 7 ultimate, activesky evolution build 642 on a networked windows vista PC. FSPUIC full registered version WIDEFS running on network, SIOC(opencockpits) connected overnetwork to Lekseecon. Greetings,ASE is not showing the correct weather. This issue has been going on for quite some time. I've finally have had enough and need some help.Weather.png show the current weather for WA state.ASE.jpg shows how ASE depicts the weather.FSX.jpg shows how FSX depicts the weather.How can such a huge discrepancy exist in this application? What are the steps that your QA control uses to ensure that the application is functioning correctly? Hi Jim,when I save a new Theme(Set) and let ASE do the (>20) Snaps with the Extended Integration-Tool, will ASE Auto-Select the Snaps randomly ?Where I should "Install Graphics Snapshot" during the Flight, from the Briefing-Sreen (Plan loaded) or from the Report-Screen ?How about to Integrate a new Option in the future Updates that let you choose a Distance (e.g. 30...50...100 nm) when ASE "Install Graphics Snapshot" automatically ?Thank you !

I downloaded and installed ASE and ASE SP2 this morning. In the center of the ASE main screen I noticed there was notice dated 4-26-10 indicating that SP1 was available. I was trying to set up a flight at JFK this morning, and the visibility should have been less than one mile. When I loaded the sim up the visibility was correct, but after ASE finished configuring the weather the visibility suddenly increased. When I disabled visibility graduation and smoothing the visibility went back to <1. After I switched this setting back on the visibility suddenly increased again. Is there any way to leave this setting on and have the correct visibility on the ground? Thanks.
