Hi,i have a small problem with ASE and the new NGX. Every 10 - 12 minutes i lost 40% of FPS in FSX. I have found out that this happens when ASE starts "Depiction Output Active". I have tried to fix this with different ASE settings but the problem is still there (and only with the NGX). Any ideas what can i do?Thanks, Chris

Hi all, i have Rex 2 with OD, and i just notice something weird : High altitude clouds seems to be duplicated ! Is it possible to fix that ? In the following images, you notice the difference when ASE is activated (duplicated clouds) or disabled (Nice Clouds)

The report for KEWN shows near hurricane conditions. When I go to KEWN the sky is clear and no rain. What is happening here?

Im using FSX with newest version of Active Sky Evolution on Windows 7 64 bit Home. Hello Jim Quite literally JUST out of hospital after brain surgery (if doc new I was up and doing this, he'd go nuts!). Whilst 'out of commission', my wife bought ASE for me!! I can't do much yet, but I must say, it looks very nice indeed. Don't think I've used your kit since well before FSX release. However, it seems I may have err... 'broken it' already. Initially, I installed and activated ASE on my main FSX PC. I later decided to run it on my networked PC instead, so installed and activated there. 1-How can I increase cabin and pilot announcement sounds? It is very low. Hi Fellas, I'm afraid I need some "hand holding" here. I have ASE and use it in combination with REX and FSX. I have learned how to create WX snapshots but I am having a terrible time linking screen shots to those snapshots. The ALT/Print Screen combo doesn't appear to work on my keyboard with Windows 7 home premium (64 bit) so I am taking screen shots using the Snipping Tool. I am saving that screen shot to a file entitled, "FSX WX Photos". I have been creating all the appropriate textures in REX and then installing them in FSX (I have disabled the REX WX engine). I then close REX and start ASE. I configure the WX in ASE and allow ASE to start FSX. After flying a …

Hi all, I'm using ASE with the latest service pack. When I do a search in the "Find Weather" dialog for "wind speed" "significant >30kts" I get 5 stations listed: 5SOO, ENOA, LIVC, OYSQ, and RJAW. As hurricane Irene is around I'd expect a very long list. If I click on KLTX in the "map dialog" for example I can see the wind is variable at 85kts yet it's not listed in the search list. Any ideas? Hello, I was wondering if maybe you can suggest a setting for the GraduationCeiling =, I currently have my ASE set-up as per your settings. However I only fly Jetliners and the altitudes go from 18000' to 39000'. Would a setting of 35000' be best rather than 20000'? Thanks in Advance. Edgar

HiWhen I first installed ASE about a month ago my FSX ATC started to recognise different transition levels ie 6000ft in the UK. I then changed some settings and lost that function. What should I do to get it back? Thanks

First of all, ASE team congrats for the product, it really gets FSX weather in another dimension! It's not perfect but, what is?.. I wouldn't fly without it. After using ASE for enough months I noticed that the cloud depiction was not natural any more. For example, in overcast conditions the cloud layers were composed from too many small, way too sharp, horizontally compressed and vertically (!) stretched clouds, instead of the smooth, large horizontally extended cloud textures that normally produce a naturally looking overcast layer. Hello, unfortunately EDDI is closed since two years now. As Berlin had 3 Airports very close to each other, the metars do surely overlap each other I think.EDDt to EDDB is about 14 Miles and EDDI is in the middle of both. For EDDI, there is no valid Real-METAR available since closing and I wonder if this would influence EDDT and EDDB??? I have always the feeling that EDDI would make the weather better as it is in Berlin. currently we have in EDDT clouds at 300 feet and 3 miles visibilityEDDB shows 6 miles visibility and clouds at 600 feet. Hello, I was checking out Irene in the ASE whether finder and I noticed that all of the stations in the area (San Juan up to the Turks and Caicos) are reporting wind speeds of 0 kts. Is this becuase none of them are currently reporting any wind speeds? Second, I know ASE depicts hurricanes and the WX finder shows Irene over the Turks and Caicos right now. If I go there in the sim, does ASE depict the current metar (0 kts) or will I see ASE depcted hurricane conditions?

HiAm new to using ASE and am having difficulty in getting current weather into FSX. Sometimes am successful, othertimes I fail. Am sure I must miss a crucial step. On the weather config screen I click the orange download button and the weather is downloaded. On the General screen I have Automatic Downloads ticked. Hi Jim!ASE is a utility I simply can't fly without but I've mainly used it in FS9. I recently started using FSX too in order to fly low'n slow and haven't experienced any problems using ASE. Now with the release of the PMDG 737NGX I picked her up to do a VATSIM flight yesterday flying KLAX-KORD on FL370. So ASE provided the weather and everything went sweet until perhaps 30 min into the flight. I had a tailwind of 45 knots (and was obviously flying over land) and flew on AP when all the sudden the aircraft started banking hard to the left. Worked fine for months then when I try to start it up it says "ASE has stopped working".

Dear all I am a new user to ASE (sorry for asking super newbie questions). Every now and then, ASE writes weather into FSX (even though I have automatic downloads off and rate of change of weather = 0). The sim queue count (bottom right) starts counting and I see a FPS performance hit on my FSX.Is that normal ? Is there a way of making those writes infrequent ?Also after taking off, the weather suddenly changes ... I am sure I am doing something wrong. Best Karim
