I have the latest version of WXre. When flying out of the UK east towards France, midway over water approaching the French coast my FPS drops to 1. and the aircraft plugs through France at this rate. This has happened with many different Aircraft. The reason I post here is that when I disconnect WXre the problem stops. I have flown in many parts of the world and have not experienced it anywhere else. Can you possibly help me out with this problem.Thank you Andrew

Today I made a flight from Kansas City to Wiley Post, OKC, using Wxre. I entered the airport ID for the destination and checked the box for force destination weather. All went well until ATC informed me I would be given vectors to a visual approach to Runway 25R - Wxre was telling me the winds at KPWA were 180 at 17! Since FS2002 gives no option, I followed the vectors until I was turned over to KPWA tower on final, who promptly instructed me to enter right traffic for an approach to 17L! Hello,I think I might have come across a little bug concerning rendering of visibility in AS wxRE v1.15. Had a look at the docs, but cant find the answer.I have Active Sky running on a second computer (through WideFS) and the weather is well displayed in FS2002.But: when I set the altimiter to the QNH in the METAR, the alt. of the airport is not right. Pushing "B" (normally leading to the right QNH) displays the right altitude, but with the wrong QNH.It must be something I'm doing wrong, but what?Kind regards,Stephan Haas

All of a sudden when I select Active Sky from the program files and return back to the sim,it has wiped all scenery out with just the a/c and blue sky.Going back out and shutting off the program restores the scenery.Would appreciate your feedback Howard

Hello:I can't make ActiveSky wxRE to work with fsflightmax 1.3.I edited the fsflightmax.ini and added this line:[ActiveSky]C:Program FilesActiveSky wxREAlso, I checked the box Export Metars for Fsflightmax in ActiveSky wxRE options. But in Fsflightmax menu I can see only FSMeteo options, no indications that Fsflightmax is looking for ActiveSky wxRE and that I can setup this app to generate weather info to Fsflightmax.Is there a way to make ActiveSky to work with Fsflightmax?Also, I can't see anywhere in Fsflightmax an option to download v.1.4.ThanksValter - Brazil

Hello Everyone...Just reporting back on some findings... Remember these are POSSIBILITIES BASED on OBSERVATIONS: And because weather changes every day, it is hard to make an exact comparison. I plan to run the next series of tests on the same exact weather data. However, I did run into porpoising on different weather data over the two days. The other hard thing to compare is even if you use the same weather data, FS Mateo and Active Sky could produce different results. Damian,Can't wait for the update!!Just a question on the new voice for flightwatch. Are we going to hear a controller announce convective sigmets on HIWAS, Flightservice, or Flightwatch -type advisories? During periods of storms, that would be a real immersion factor.Lobaeux

I checked all the docs to no avail:Yesterday, about 1800PDT, I was at Burbank on the ramp at idle- DreamFleet 737-400- and on the outside view, there were cloud-like vortices at both inlets!?There was some mist and some ground fog on the approach and I have seen this in real-life but never in FS2002. Is this an ActiveSky enhancement?thanks!

Hi guys, first of all I have the freeware version, but please let me now how can I fix the problem of the download of the METAR every two minutes, I have FSUIPC 2.97, but I want that the active sky update but not every minutes because this make frames to go down right away, in the real world the weather change but not like that, thanks and let me now, regards.

Winds aloft simulation does not turn off when unchecked on wxRE options window. Is there an imediate fix for that or will I have to wait for the forthcoming patch?Thanks

I am throwing in the towel on Active Sky. I was cruising at 16000 in a pretty cool business jet, and all of a sudden I got hit with a down draft that caused me to loose 6000 feet and I lost total control of the jet and couldn't recover with full back pressure. After about what seemed like 30 seconds, I was able to recover. What is that all about?ERRATIC WX BEHAVIOR. I was also porposing for no reason. No A/I traffic in front of me on landing.. Just purchased and downloaded 2 days ago and have not been able to use yet.Like other users have reported, I am getting the same "error or timeout downloading cycle" message IMMEDIATELY after clicking the auto-update button. I have read the other posts and have tried EVERYTHING with no luck. I am running an administrator account in Win XP Home with SP-1, 56K dialup without a firewall (no proxy), FS2002 with FSUIPC 2.97 (both with all options set exactly as explained in the ActiveSky documentation), and I have no trouble downloading the files manually from the NOAA site. Hi there,I'm new to this add-on, but I can't seem to get the download to complete. It downloads metar, and taf ok, then goes onto fd winds. A few seconds later i get download error or timeout. I've not yet been able to complete a successful download.I've tried reinstalling (even to a different pc with a different isp). Hi guys, how can I make the METAR Download Transition more slowy, because when I use ActiveSky and I'm flying to get in another airport my frame goes down like to 5 or 3 frames when the program is downloading the METAR for that airport or area, I just download the FSUIPC 2.97, but how is have to be the settings for better performance, thanks and sorry for my english, im spanish, but I need help !!!:-luke

I started using the freeware activesky on a trip from KBWI to KMVY. On the way there were several instances when there was an overcast below me and then, WHAM, it was clear in an instant! Several minutes later, WHAM, overcast again! I set FSUIPC according to the document that was included with activesky. Is there something else that I need to set in order to allow smoother & slower cloud transitions?Thanks for your help!Airbus
