Dear AllAre you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin.......I had FS2k2 with an Nvidia GForce3Ti200 for a couple of years.I then purchased Activesky 1.91. When I ran it with FS2k2, the auto throttle started to accelerate & contined to accelerate until I manually stopped it. This happened in various locations, with various aircraft, at various altitudes, in different weather, and the pitot heat was switched on. With the FS2k2 default weather, the auto throttle worked ok. I upgraded to wxRE 1.92 with FS2k2 - same problem.I upgraded to FS9 with wxRE 1.92 - same problem.I upgraded to a Radeon 9600 XT with CAT 3.1 with wxRE 1.92 - same problem.Although I seem to have the…

Good afternoon to everybody and congratulations to the creators of AS2004 for this fine product. Following the support people instructions i have manually added LGAV airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Int, Greece) but the program seems not to like it since it does not give me weather for the specific station and it says skiping station or the weather strip produced by AS2004 on the fs9 screen comes out blank.Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Damian/Jim,I know that your hands are full at the moment with the maintainence release, but I have an idea that should be easy to impliment in later releases if you think it's a good one. These ideas affect those who use AS2004 primarily in the offline mode, as I do.Let me preface by saying that I'm a pack rat - I save every weather cycle I download. I've been modifying the default file name and including local conditions at my home/default airport: 012004-20z-KLEB-OVC-Clr-south-+SN-North.dat or something to that effect. Sometimes, I download the intellicast jpg of the USA and zip 'em up.1.) Because the .dat files are 3 times larger than the downloaded compressed data…

Hi there,I'm using XP, FS2k2 and ver.191 and I find the frame rate just drops, mostly a lower altitudes (say 6000ft) to around 1 or 2 fps. As soon as I shut Activesky, it shoots back up again. My question is this:Firstly, why does it do this? I don't notice any particular increase in the quality of the output!Secondly, is there anything I can change to stop this happening, other than closing Activesky as soon as I get close to my destination? It's really a pain in the arse!! :)Hope someone can help, I looked in the archive and I didn't find anything really similar. Thanks a lot,Tom

Well, I'm 0 for 2 on getting posts answered in this forum, but maybe third time's the charm.I've been generally satisfied with AS2004 since purchasing it a month or so ago. What I've found aggravating in the past has been when the ceiling at the arrival airport, in particular, is much lower than indicated on the METAR. This often happens due to a low fog/haze layer that pops up and disappears at unpredictable intervals (see my earlier post entitled "That weird fog/haze layer").Today I flew three flights and I'm sorry to report that in all three cases, the weather at one or both airports didn't even come close to matching the METARs. Details:First flight was KDEN to KSB…

Just a caution - Pressing FSUIPC minimum weather settings will CLEAR some non-weather settings. Check/record your other settings prior to pressing that button!!!-michael

The screen seems to flicker. Does anyone else experience this?? Do not know if the flicker is the wx update or what. Any help would be great. Do not have any add-ons, just loaded FS2004 and do not have the registered version of FSUIPC

Hi Guys,I just installed the new Alpha 1 patch and have a quick question for you. I really like having the visibility option in FSUIPC selected and set according to the cloud cover. Now, this is under the "Visibility" Tab in FSUIPC, thence "General Limits", "Apply Vis Limits (1/100ths mile)" I'm referring to.My question is this: Is this an acceptable setting in FSUIPC with respect to the operation of AS2004, or will it cause any unwanted effects or conflicts that you know of? Does Global Writes on or off have any effect on this parameter, and if so, what might they be (assuming you know)? Thanks very much for your time guys!Glenn

Are there supposed to be clouds right at ground level. I was flying about KDEN, KABQ and such, elevations over 2500 feet and such, and these clouds are right at the surface like spots of fog. I tried disabling the fog feature, but that didn't make any difference. I think the metar read something like "few" at 2500 or so. Anyway, is this expected or an unexpected effect?Randy Jura, KPDX

No Sudden clouds disappearance / Fantastic experienceHi Damian and your team,Once more congratulations for your excellent work which we enjoy over here everyday more.I have read just everything which have been written in this forum since AS 2 came out and especially after the ALFA 1 patch.I just cannot remember, among so much info, where I got that configuration which was sent with pics a few days ago and which one I adopted

Hi!How should the screen look when as2004 makes a no visibility snow scenario at the middle of the night? Are you supposed to se at least the nearest runway lights clear or are they supposed to be "dimmed" down as in my case? The result is that my screen is way to black and I can hardly see nor follow any lights on ground. This is totally wrong in my opinion. In real life even in the heaviest snow storm you will easily see the lights nearest to you if everything else is dark as in this case.//Johannes

Hello all. Since using AS2004 I notice a temperature problem. I always start my flight at EHAM (below sealevel!). When I use AS2004 the temp always seems to be set at 30 or 31 degrees Celsius. It is OK when I use 1) no/clear weather, 2) FS2004 Jepessen weather, 3) the other weather addon. I will try to make it clear with some screenshots. I have used Weatherset2 from Pete Dowson and captured a status window and cockpit window of each situation. Here you see the result after clearing all weather, OKhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/58256.jpgThis is what I get when using AS2004, not OKhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/58257.jpgAnd finally the result of another commercial w…

Hi,Does anybody know about any problems with downloading weather with WXRE. It doesn't seem to work now for about 24 hours.....Up until now i had no problems at all.Greetz, Marco

First off, love the program. Here's my problem. Today (Jan 18, about 1900 Z) I was flying on FS with AS2004 in Atlanta, where I live. Outside, the weather is lousy. In fact, it stopped me from flying in real life today. But the AS2004 Metar shows broken clouds at 250, nor 009 and 012 like it is in real life. So, i look at the time, and it says Jan 16 for the AS2004 Metar. Why so old, can i get the program to download Metars elsewhere?

Can anyone explain to me after importing a flight plan into AS2k it shows the departure and destination waypoints only..RONNE AKA ALPHA37

I am using the alpha release of the update.I was flying from KMIA to KLAS using the PMDG 737/700. I still get the wild wind swings once I get up in altitude. Most of the time the plane would recover. Then half way though my trip I decided to bump up the sim rate to 4x.Not 5 minutes later, I get AIRCRAFT OVERSTRESSED. During that time, the aircraft was pitching and yawing wildly. The winds were changing directions and speeds quite frequently. Is there anyway to avoid these wild wind changes? Can I not download winds aloft data or something like that?Besides this, I really like the program. Thanks,

AS2004 (alpha 2) started flashing the "AS2004 Current Wx" message for my destination airport every 5 seconds starting on final and continuing all the way to parking. It's like it got stuck in a endless weather update loop.

I was doing a flight from EDDF to Bucharest, Romania.I hit the minimum weather defaults option in FSUIPC and then loaded ActiveSky. I then loaded my flight plan in ActiveSky.The weather at Frankfurt wasEDDF 161050Z 20009KT 9999 -RA FEW006 BKN017 BKN022 04/04 Q0996 RERA NOSIGI was getting clear skies overhead with cloudy skies all around in the distance. I should have had heavy clouds and rain as i am 1m from the station. I switched to 122.00 frequency and the voice said i should be having rain etc. etc. basically what is in the METAR above. When i tuned to ATIS it read the weather i was actually experiencing. When i loaded up the Active Radar i looked at the destination …
