To get activeSky to work I had to download FSUIPC. There is other EXE in the folder with the FSUIPC.dll. Do they need to be run as well with FS2004?

Coul you kindly direct me to a place where I can relearn how to interpret the weather briefings in Active sky. For exampleCYXU 271800Z 08006KT 155M SKC 03/M10 A3044 RMK SLP319You get the idea. I used to be able to read some of it,but that was a long time ago (back in the 70's) So I need a HUGE refresher!!!

Hi,i don't have yet the Active Sky 2004 and i want to ask you if the ActiveRadar's gauge displays the current FS2004 weather, or the real world weather form a satellite picture. They are totally different these two options, as in the first one this you watch in FS's external window appears also in gauge and it is the FS's virtual weather (maybe also the real if the metar is current). I don't want to have a clean weather radar in ActiveRadar's gauge and the FS has thuderstorm!!One more....! ActiveRadar works only when having the ActiveSky2004 running and downloading weather? Hello Damian,I have moved my FS2004 folder from partition F to partition D and now ActiveSky2004 is asking for the msi file. I generally backup all my install folders but I can't find anywhere the AS2004 files ;( I have a copy of the SimMarket proof of purchase but I can't download the software anymore from their site...I am sorry I can't find the install folder.Could you please help me? Sorry I'm not sure if there is a bug here. I suppose I'd just like to know if what I'm experiencing is the norm. I'd just say I didn't use the previous beta, but decided to 'take the risk' with the new one.When I start AS, there is quite a long period of writing to FSUIPC and FS. When the update is complete, I open a flight plan. I can't yet press the Process button because a further bout of FSUIPC and FS updating takes place. When that is complete, I can process the flight plan. That complete I get the wxReport but that appears to hang. Atleast the Close button has no immediate effect and neither has the up/down arrows. Eventually, the wxReport disappears, but it i…

In recent times I have been flying in Australia.Major ports e.g. Brisbane have fully completed Metars and this is reflected in AS2004. However, within 20 miles of YBBN is Archerfield Aerodrome (YBAF). This port also has Metars attached but frequently the cloud cover component is replaced by a series of ////. When this port becomes active clouds do a disappearing act only to reappear when YBBN becomes the active Metar. First, a question: Anyone who is getting frequent "cloud pops" in FS9 with AS2k4 - do you have "smooth wind changes near aircraft" enabled in FSUIPC?Here's why I ask - and please tell me if you can duplicate the following: Start FS9 - DO NOT START AS2004. Load a flight, go to the Modules, FSUIPC menu. Be sure that the "smooth wind changes near aircraft" check box is clear (disabled). Now, select the weather theme "Fair Weather" and fly for a bit - just be sure you've got some low scattered clouds. Go to the Modules, FSUIPC menu. ENABLE "smooth wind changes near aircraft". After a few seconds, the low scattered clouds disappear on my PC, and the theme is deselected…

Hello:I am trying your ActiveSky 2002 and testing to see whether I will be using AS2004.AS2002 is downloading fine but it does not transmit any data to FS2002. The actual update is done but again it does not change any thing. HiI have followed the instructions in the front of the Manual with regard to gettig everything set up for a flight using ActiveSky and Active Radar. Weather is whoing up fine; Active Radar is working OK except that when I try to load my plan into it using "Modes-planning-MSFS- update all", the plan doesn't show up. (I have imported the plan into ActiveSky OK, and it has accepted it). I am using Active Radar on MSFS computer; ActiveRadar on WideFS Machine.Can anyone help?(BTW, I have not downloaded the Update yet).

Hi all,Firstly i am still running ver 1.91 as, until I upgrade my system it is pointeless me getting FS2004. So you guessed it, I am still with good ol' FS2002.Strange thing happenning with the temp... & has been doing this consistantly for about 1.5 months now. I happen to like zipping around the globe at very high speeds, so i tend to be flying at 70,000ft & above.As i climb, i notice the temp dropping quite nicely, so that by the time I'm into the 30's k feet, the outside temp is -50 - to even -70 even .. Nice & cold :-)However as i climb further the temp starts rising again .. so that it is sometimes only -5 outside, or even as warm as ZERO! or +1 degree…

I have AS2004 with MR1 and registered FSUIPC 3.15 in use. I have few problems with AS. Example winds speed and direction jumping. It makes flying really uncomfortable. And the second problem: Occassionally clouds disappear suddenly. That's so unrealistic.Thats's why I ask that someone could tell me the best setting for AS? Screenshot would be nice. Hopefully new settings bring me wanted conclusion and solutions to my problems...
