Howdy,Been working with AS2004 AS2004 Build 90 MR1 just fine, but today there's a new problem: winds aloft are zero, and temps are minus 273. I was flying around Seattle and Vancouver today and suddenly I lost most of my power, also ATC kept telling the Heavies to climb, then I noticed that the OAT was -238C! I looked in the activesky window and sure enough everything was -238C! must be a data issue or something. This problem was common to all the weather stations in the area, and the same thing happened when I tried it at Toronto.

I don't know if this has been addressed yet... but today I fired up the ole AS2004 and when I got above three or four thousand feet I encountered about a 250 knt headwind and turbulence and dropping the temp to -90C... renedering my aircraft unflyable and shutting down the engines... Hey Damian! Was flying today and near KPSK at FL350 1735Z, the winds aloft zero and temp -273C AGAIN!!!! Is there anyway to tell the server to default to standard temps if the wind/temp data is bad? Still love the product! I love all engine failure at FL350.Chris

Hi all...like a lot of people here, I am plagued with massive wind shears at high altitude while using AS2004. I am using the latest release version, VATSIM weather, online updates every 10 minutes, and on a cross-country flight at FL350 last night (KATL-KVCV), around the DFW area, I was getting hammered by near-constant 90-120 degree wind shifts at 70 knots, every 5-10 seconds. Being a notorious dimwit when it comes to computers, I took great care to meticulously follow all installation instructions to the very letter, resulting in a beautifully installed AS. So far, so good. Hello,Sorry for this silly question, I'm making a CD of all my purchased FS Software and backing it all up incase I have a hard Drive Crash, and when I came across Activesky2004, I can't seem to find a serial. My memory is hazy, was a serial issued when I purchased the software?I checked Simmarket, where I purchased it, and no serial was in my account, the confirmation EMail I got didn't have one either, so I'm not 100% sure there ever was one.Thanks for clarifying. HiI am using AS with Wide FS; following the "rcommended order" instructions on page 12 of the AS manual, all is going well until I try to import the route thay I have just processed (without any problems) on the Wide FS machine into ActiveRadar. It simply won't load up.The routes I have been using have been created in both FSVAV and FS9's own flight planner, but this does not make any difference as to whether they load up in ActiveRadar.Any ideas on how to resolve this?Thanks in advance.Mike

Hello,I am a proud user of ActiveSky2004, but since a couple of days, I noticed a long firing up time of this beautiful device.After downloading the weather elements from the internet quickly and without problems, it takes ages to transfer everything to FSUIPC and to get the weather update complete. The same occurs by refreshing; it takes several minutes before it is written to FSUIPC where some time ago, the whole process was done in less than a minute.Someone any ideas?Thanks on beforehand,Juul Tango,Hasselt, Belgium.

Hello, I have the AS2004 and just upgraded to the ver 1.92. I see that there is a maintenance release and wondering if it applies to me. If so, I cant get it to run. It tells me that I must have AS2004 installed first. ???? I do:-wave I have the CD rom version so I'm not sure if this is applicable or not.Regards,

When I load a route and click on the "Process" button, there is a message "Calculating closest wx sites" (or something along those lines), at which point it hangs. Task Manager shows it "not responding". I just installed the latest FSUIPC (3.21), and did not have this problem prior to that, so I'm going back to 3.202 to see if that does anything.Mark Kuebeler

Hello,when i am loading the real world weather with activesky, then there are two different metars from the same destination (see attachment)My question is, why there are two metars and which does activesky use?I addition, why i do sometimes read that the weather is autogenerated and why i see sometimes clouds, when in the first metar it says, "CAVOK"?Regards,Peter

Everytime ActiveSky connects to EKCH station report it always shows air temperature 2 degrees celsius and pressure Q1007.I have tried to refresh, delete all wx entrys in FSUIPC and fetch a custom station report from EKCH before landing. But still the same.Can anyone tell me why and how to get the true (realistic) weather situation in Copenhagen before landing/takeoff???I have ActiveSky 1.1 build 90 and registrered FSUIPC.

Hi DamianI have just experienced repeated (three successive attempts) failure to download and decompress metar data.Yesterday the program did the job flawlessly but today - different story. i recently received active sky programthe metar weather is nothing like the real time weatherexample: today in new york its raining 700 ovc and the metar weather comes up cleari also tried to register under FSUIPC and they ask for a twelve character key, where do i get that? i then mailed registration form to ukwill the program run without that?

Hi,I have ASwxRE V1.91 and running FS9. I never seem to get anymetar or taf reports. Also I am using Radar Contact and the destination reports for wind and direction are never the same asRC. Flew into KMCO and should have had 9kts but Radar Contactreported winds at 30kts. I have latest registered version ofFSUIPC.

I just began using Active Sky and it seems to work well, except that the FS9 runway assignments don't follow the wind direction. Specifically: KATL winds 310 at 8 knots, but ATIS and Ground says RWY 8L/R and 9L/R are in use. Same thing when nearing my destination airport - KORF, winds are 240 at 9, but runway in use is 5. Any idea why this might be happening? Thanks for your help!

Hi All,Using FS2004, AS2004 w/ MR1 ( Ver 1.1, build 90 ), regestered FSUIPC 3.202. Settings for AS2004 and FSUIPC are at default.The R/W is overcast and rainy. The weather string returned from AS is KPHL 121254Z 06011KT 10SM FEW070 OVC120 08/04 A3020 RMK AO2 RAE17 SLP225 P0000 T00830039.When I start FS2004 I clear the weather in the FS weather panel and do the same in FSUIPC. Then I start AS2004 and watch the progress of the weather in the sim. I briefly see an overcast sky ( anywhere from 1-3 seconds ) then I always end up with a beautiful partly cloudy ( 25 - 50 % ) sky.I'm not sure where to look next ! Hello, ACTIVESKY team. I am using ACTIVESKY2004 with FS2004. FSUIPC uses a registration version. As for FSUIPC and ACTIVESKY2004, in being using by the standard setup When it lands, a body is surely involved in the turbulence, and a body shakes greatly. It is involved in the turbulence as much as to cut high occasions 500 feet. NEW ROUTE of ACTIVESKY2004 isn't being used. Is there a method which solves anything? I am sorry in poor English.

Another question from a new user. The volume level for flightwatch/ATIS is extremely low. I've tried various settings with the Sounds sliders but haven't found a good combination. Any suggestions? Thanks again!
