For some reason, I decided to install the flight plans (.pln) to the FS9Flights folder. A couple of people said that FS doesn't like that, even though it seems to work for me. If you have any problems with FS9 or AS2k4 loading/processing plans, you should copy or move the .pln files found in the FS9FlightsAS2k4ADv1 and FS9FlightsAS2k4ADv2 folders to My DocumentsFlight Simulator FilesIf other issues arise, I will fix this in the installer version in a future release.Best,sg

I have no clue whats wrong... Just updated to the beta release and this starts happening...I'm also still getting invalid when I start in the Quantico area...Additionally with the update my framerates went in the crapper compared to what it used to be.

I have read the FAQ and installed MR2 (beta) and for some reason, I cannot get AS to properly sync with FS2K4. As an example, here is the weather report that AS is currently usingKSGJ 141834Z 15011KT 3SM TSRA SCT025CB RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004 RMK which would indicated that I've got some pretty interesting weather to fly through :) However if I switch over to FS, I currently have SKC (Sky Clear) winds at FL240 of 000@01 and a OAT of -11C :(. If I look at the winds aloft table of AS for this FL, I should have 125 @ 25 with an OAT of -21. I need some help.I'm trying to run ActiveSky Weather Adventures Vol 2 - Fly the AT. Everything goes fine except for the next to last step of the normal procedures where it says to "Load your flight plan in ActiveRadar (MODES, Planning, MSFS). When I load as directed FlyAT-Leg01.PLN (or any v2 plan) no flight plan is loaded into Active Radar. If I load a PLN from v1 the plan is immediately loaded. how do I download another copy of the original as4 installation file? I'm doing a reinstall of fs9 and have the as4 key, the update, but not the original. I checked on simmarket but couldn't find anything there. Thx!billg

I'm doing a reinstall of as2004 and it seems to go fine but when I run it I get a Run-Time '372' error, followed by "failed to load control 'chilkat.zip' from chilkatzip.dll. Your version of chilkatzip.dll may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version control that was provided with your application."Wouldn't the application provide the required file, or is it something that's supposed to be in my windows directory? What is the reason that in some cases the FPE is only taking a couple of minutes and the other time it takes sometimes even more than 15!!! minutes to get it in (only 26 waypoints)...???!!!I've already tried many things...John

Please accept my apologies if this info is already posted but this is a big site and I didn't find an answer in the FAQ.My radar display has recently stopped providing data (it doesn't display anything other than Wx reporting stations and their tags). According to the FAQ section, I needed to make sure that I was in an area that is experiencing some form of precipitation, I did, and it was, and the area has a Wx reporting station, it did, and it was reporting correct info.Everything had worked fine up until two days ago. I haven't made any changes to configuration settings in AS2004, FSUIPC, or FS2004. Any suggestions?

I may be having an issue with TAF processing after installing MR2 update beta. I've got WXre patched up to 1.92.4. upon loading WX, this message pops up-"Error reading wxre.ini file- there may be an offline file/folder incorrectly set. There are a few of us, and many more starting to come on that fly the Concord and or the SR-71 way up high, so I think that this is valid, but if i am wrong please let me know. Having the winds and temperature from 39,000 feet extended up indefinatly is putting the air temps up higher way too warm VS reality of the temps up there, robbing the Concord's engines of performance, and also the winds up there can be too strong, causing some irratic performance in those planes, that is not realistic. The winds aloft box will, for the entire period of my connection, state that it is trying to initiate. Nothing ever happens anymore, no more upper air data is retrieved. Is there a way to fix this? Im a happy use of FS2K2, since FS2K4 lacks PIC767. So I do not see the point in my having to pay more money for AS 2004, when what I have now should and has worked flawlessly in the past. Thankssigh, nevermind. . . called to work, they told me they were having issues with upper air soundings and the data transfering to the correct server. Silly NWS.

Hey guys,I am a fairly new user of AS2004 and have a couple of questions.1) AS2004 uses FSUIPC interface and I have several other add-ons doing the same (FDC, AC2004). Will this be of any influence on performance? On FS or on each other?2) I have created an additional soundpack for the FlightVoice Radio,but I just can't get the ICAO codes spoken out. HiActiveSky seems very good, except for one point. With a layer of total cloud cover at say 3000ft, I pass through it to 5000.When below the cloud its total cover and looks good, but when above the cloud I see the ground below, through large patches in cloud. Surely this shouldn't happen.I'm using the MR release of Activesky with FS2004.

I've gone through and tried everything on this subject I can find in these forums and nothing is helping on my system. I've having the problems with the weather transitioning instantly from one extreme to another. Ex. Clear skies at one moment to heavy clouds 360 degrees around me in a blink. After reading some articels on AS2004 I finally purchased it some days ago, only to find out I actually bought ASwxRE when I got home and installed it. No refund here. Well, there shouldn't be a yellow sticker on the box saying "Works in FS2004". I feel a little misled here...!!!All well, if it should work, but again I am not pleased with it.I have read the manual and stuff, but I don't seem to get the so promising cloud transitions to work. Installed AS2004 and followed the instructions. The weather loads OK but when I get a few miles from the airport, the weather changes to scattered clouds and VU when it's supposed to be overcast. Now and then the visibility pops in and out of what it's supposed to be but what is most concerning is the panel for the plane disappears for a fration of a second at regular intervals. It may be every 8 seconds or up to every 18 seconds. I believe there may be weather changes as this happens. This does not happen unless I run AS2004. Any help?Michael
