HiIve been using Actvie Sky for some time now, Im very happy with it..but Im having some problems...it loads up fine, I import my plan, no probs..but when I press the process button it freezes and I have to press ctrl-alt-del to end task, interestingly I made some changes (Reality XP FS2004 tweaker) to the settings in FS9...thats when the problem started, Im not sure if the two are related but Id like to keep my present settings as it has made Fs9 run more smoother for me.RegardsDavidYBBN

Just wondering what startup procedures / settings (AI Traffic) Weather reset to clear skies, FSUIPC Clear Weather, (on and on).The biggest pain in the posterior is that the active runway will not change based on the surface winds AS 2004 loads into FS 2004.I wrote Damian on this and he said it is an issue with FS 2004, as it won't change the active runway based on surface winds until all AI traffic have departed or landed, in other words all AI traffic have been been processed. He also gave me some workaround to set the time back a minute or more?? Or just wait 10 minutes? I haven't see this work too well.I think surface winds and runway assignments are a fundamental re…

I have encountered a problem in using AS. With AS loaded the FS screen flickered every 5-10 seconds (sometimes less often). Thisceased as soon as I closed AS. So AS seems to be the cause. What could this be and what can I do?

Hi, I had a hard disk crash, I installed a new disk, as I have a backup spooler which takes a snapshot of the whole system, allowing the complete system to be regenerated.Everything is ok except Active sky, first when I launched the program it asked me to browse to the Active sky exe, then promptly reinstalled the program, now when starting up it gives this message:Runtime error 372Failed to load chilkatzip from chilkatzip.dll, your version may be out dated, etc.The chilkatzip.dll is in the FS2004 main folder.Does this mean that the backup has currupted the registry for your program? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but still the same messageRegards Nigel

I'm using AS2004 MR2 Beta. Whenever I import any flight plan I get the following message: "Older .PLN file converted to .FS2004 format". The thing is, I'm using FS2004 already to create my flight plans, and the .PLN files are never touched by any other app. Is this normal?

Hi.I have a question/problem with my destination weather. This happens 99% of the time.When I first load my flight plan at my starting airport, it can get every single weather along the way, including my destination. However, as soon as I get to the airport, I get the message "Temporary Data Retrieval Problem. Skipping XXXX" and AS gets the next closest station.I'm not sure that's verbatim, but why would it do that when it could get it in the beginning? Is there any way I can store the weather so it'll use that when I approach the airport?Thanks.

Hi Folks,Yesterday I was flying everything was hunky dory, working like clockwork, then later-on I went and loaded everything as per normal and this time there was a MAJOR error in the winds aloft data.For all levels I'm getting 228/00 (-273.0) and as you can imagine, aeroplanes don't run too well in those conditions!! I get the correct wx on the ground and then after liftoff the OAT winds off at a chronic rate to rest on -99 deg C which is where the gauge stops reading!Whilst I understand that this maybe a temporary data error, or something on my end.... is there at least a switch in the command line I can use to force the program to ignore the upper temps given until I/…

Hi All,I have recently purchased AS2004 and I have enjoyed it so far. I create a flight plan in FSNav and convert it into .PLN format. However, I just checked Activesky, 9 hours later, and now its reporting:TLPL 261900Z 09012KT 8000 VCSH FEW008 BKN015 BKN080 27/26 Q1015 JP-NWwhile it's june 27th 9:30am (gmt+1) at my place. Shouldn't AS have gotten a much more recent update by now? There I was in my leerjet at FL410 flying through KZLC bound for KMSP when all of a sudden I see my altimeter jump to 50,000 and then I crash from aircraft stress. That's one hell of a windshear, is there any way to stop this from happening?

Hi guys,my weather update in FS9 doesn't work. Let me briefly explain what I do: Start FS, clear all weather, start AS. I've always done it that way and it has always worked but since yesterday it doesn't anymore. Once the update is completed, I get the real weather in FS9 for about 5 seconds and it the reverts back to clear skies. Any thoughts on my problem would be highly appreciated.
