Where is the path to the flight plans stored for ActiveSky2004? It always wants to open the wrong user documents folder when I want to import a flight plan. Is there some way I can change the path? I've searched and searched through cfg and ini files and the registry but can't find it.I know the flight plans are stored under C:useridmy documentsflight simulator filesI want to change the userid in this path because it's always the wrong one. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why, since Friday, I am (seemingly) the only person on the planet who cannot reach hifisim.com by email, by AS2k4 to download weather, or by browser to get to their website to download stuff, etc.? As JSkorna pointed out to me in another forum, to solve some rare wind shifts i had to mark the CCW wind fix.But this does not seem to work :(I have set it up and still seeing abrupt shifts.I haven't changed anything (apart from the ccw wind fix) since the last ini i posted in the topped MR2 thread.I have MR2 installed.

Still have seen little/no improvement with AR display.Occasionally still get "donut" with pinwheel rain bands in areas of total rain coverage.Weather is reported accurately in AR as well as AS.Reloads seem to temporarily work, but then degrade on subsequent activations of AR.I'm using latest "free" version of FSUIPC...don't know if that makes a difference.Glenn D. I'm running AS2004 useing fswide connection. I got radar connection working fine. In the option section of active radar the create a met file box, I have it checked. But I cannot locate the met file. Is it on the main FS9 computer or is it on the fswide computer?? I'm trying to get fltmax (which is on the fs wide machice) to locate the exported met file.Bill M

Hello...I have installed and ran AS 2004 on my system and have a problem with it crashing the entire system to where it reboots my machine. I have tried to look through the whole database to see if anyone else has this problem. I dled the 1.1 upgrade and installed, same problem....I load FS9...clear weather on FSUIPC..launch as2004...import my route....take off....and within 5 minutes a total system crash. Hi, still a couple of questions about my new AS20041) when I try to load a flight plan, AS2004 always points to the directory where its weather files are stored, so I have to browse every time to my flight simulator files directory to get a PLN file. Hi all, just downloaded and tried ActiveSky - Nice indeedA couple of questions / clarifications - sorry if I missed them in the appropriate sections1) when I activate the radar, it is all black (no clouds), winds OK, weather report OK. In the manual however, there is a screenshot of the radar window which is practically green. is there something wrong? Hi Guys,This problem of the Aloft Server .. Bad data/time out prob, has been going on for weeks now.....Still running 1.91, as have not upgraded to FS2004 until i get a faster comp.Incidentally, that odd temp problem, where temps above Zero (someitmes as high as +14c) are being seen at higher altitudes. I've recently seen a similar thread saying the same thing, so it isn't just me. & I'm running the older version..CheersAl

Hello,I cannot find the activeradarconnectors.txt and I need the procedure for installing Active Radar on the FS PC. Right now eveyrthign works with AS2004 installed on the client. I can't see any reason to have to install it over again on the FS (server) machine, i.e. just the AR stuff.Thanks in advance, Ron McLeod - CYEG

Hi guysi have very often the Problem that he dont find my closest WX Station. Currently i am standing in EDDF Frankfurt, Big major Germany Airport And he told the weather for HTLD/49 NMAnd for sure EDDF is not near HTLD.He did that very often, no refresh and no new start of AS helps.Using AS on a other computer with Wide FS... so far never problems, but that error occur sometimes

I probably am not following the sequence of loading stuff while setting up a flight, but I find one issue rather unfortunate and wonder if there is a cure. I will usually start FS, set up a flight plan, click "fly", then start AS2004. As FS2004 is loading itself to my departure setting, up pops AS2004 in front of FS2004, causing FS2004 to go into PAUSE mode. Is there anyway to get AS2004 to just do its thing in the background and leave it at that? I see no reason why it is necessary to see the AS2004 interface, especially when it hasn't even finished loading weather fully. Why is this?Noel

hellousing active sky there appear some strange squares when the program tries to reduce visibility. After takeoff there aren't problem. THese squares appear in de decent. Twice pressing the alt-key solves it for a while. Anybody who knows what this might be? MSFS 2004 works normal. HelloIs there a server with HiFi DataNet today?For the past several hours all I get with AS2004 Build 90 and online updates is the generic 000000Z AUTO 13005KT 10SM SCT050 SCT150 05/01 A2990 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004no matter which part of the world I try. Also the Stations shown is always several 100 miles away. For example, for LSZH (Zurich, Switzerland) I get EBAW weather, dated 202320Z, actual time right now is 211100Z. hey all, i'm new to Active sky and from what i've seen i have alot to learn! One question at the mo is when i take off my screen stutters every 2 seconds even though the frame rate is reading 24! Then it stops and restarts when i'm about to land! It happens in ALL cockpit modes, 2D and VC.Is this just the program refreshing itself or have i a setting wrong somewhere?Also, how does one get weather downloaded, then go offline to fly with the new weather? I am loading the flightplan into fs2004 etc but not sure if this is the only thing to do?Any other tips from you 'pros' out there?CheerioDoug :)

Howdy,One of the places I fly has few weather reporting stations and I have noticed that most if not every time I have the big wind or cloud visibility shift I am in a particular zone between my weather reporting stations. I will have to start documenting it properly!Here is the scenerio I often fly under...* There are two reporting stations that are 200nm apart* I am 100nm from each station* The next closes reporting station is 300nm away* My suppression range is 80nmNow, if a weather update occurs the weather at my two nearest stations may change and because my suppression range does not encompase either of the two stations (they are 100nm away at least) then does the …

Hi!Today when i started AS2004 and pressed the refresh btn the error message: "Internet connection unstable, retrying...." appears. I have a very stable internet connection and it downloads other stuff perfectly so this can`t be the problem.It seems AS is not getting contact with the server so i tried the default FS9 real world weather option too but with the same result, "download failed".Please help me out here, i really need that weather :)BestsKevin
