Dear sir,I have AS2004 with latest beta and latest FSUIPC...er not 3.4 actually but 3.317.All is fine and I did endless flights with it on FS9....really this is a great package sir.Now the strange thing is this...I have installed a dreamwings fokker 50 and the panel from Project FOkker 50 found on fokker50.comThe system works ok until I use Shift-S and when I am back in the cockpit the PFD and ND go bonkers...they get full of garbage and the PFD also looses its color and gets just to a blue LCD. Also the Active Radar seems to continually appear and disappear...as if I am pressing CTRL F12 infinitely. This happens until I circle S and Shift S a couple of times and then a…

Hi all,I looked through the postings, but didn't see one addressing a question I have.I'm running FS9 on an AMD Athlon 2500+, 512 RAM, ATI Radeon 9200 128Mb video card in Windows XP Home, SP 1. After having to reformat my HD and reinstall XP, I finally have things pretty well tweaked to my liking, except for one thing: When the clouds in the distance load, sometimes they appear to have a tearing effect. How can I adjust visibility, settings, etc...to get rid of this? I'm using the registered version of FSUIPC along with ActiveSky 2004, and the improved for FS9 FSW cloud textures.Any help will be appreciated.Regards,ScottKJMS

Hello all,I discovered a wind direction difference in what FS2004 is reporting and what AS2004.5 b142 is reporting. Hi Jim,I think I am having the same problem as Jaroberts explained a few posts ago. I updated to build 142, and things ran fine for awhile until today. I loaded FS9 in windows mode and set up my flight location, cleared the weather in FSUIPC, then minimized to start up AS2004. Started up AS2004 and it loaded as usual with no problems. Then opened FS9 back up. Weather updated in the sim ok as per usual. Everything runs fine as long as I stay in windows mode. As soon as I try to go to full screen, the screen goes black, and I get the mouse arrow pointing to a flickering hourglass. It will stay like this indefinitely. I have been using Active Sky for a couple of months now, and wouldn't fly without it. I have a question about the turbulence,. It seems that when I first got the program, I would see a great deal of turbulence affecting my PMDG 737 as I flew around. Lately, even in some very bad weather, I don't seem to get any turbelence to speak of. I do not have it disabled in FS9. What are some things that I could look at to make sure everything is set correctly for turbulence effects?

I see a lot of people are working hard to iron out bugs since the release of MR1 Build 91, I was just wondering if there is any timeline planned for the release of the next "official update" like days or weeks? I know the easy answer is to say a release will occur once all the bugs are worked out, but hopefully Jim or Damian can shed a more definitive light on this. Hello, I am new to AS2004, read the manual, d/l'd the latest MR1 release, and am having a couple of problems. I tried doing a forum search but I get something like 200+ hits and I don't see any posts in the search results window. 1) I cannot seem to get overcast clouds to save my life. I have looked at the AS2004 main window and confirmed OVC in the metar line (I have gone to airports which had OVC from 010 to 050), yet it seems the most I get is few or scattered clouds. I have checked and unchecked the Limit Cloud Layer feature and I have Overcast Enhancement checked. I was assuming the local time might play a factor. I have TAF Decoding and System Time checked. …

Hi,I just installed AS2004 last night (had to reinstall EVERYTHING after having to format my harddrive - ARRRGHHHH!) in FS9. I flew a couple of short flights using it, and things worked fine. This morning I attempted to install the MR 1 for AS2004. However, after clicking the setup.exe file, I get a message saying that "Active Sky must be installed on this computer first" (or something to that effect).Why is this setup progam not finding FS9? It also dosen't give me the option of pointing the setup program to the location of FS9...which in my case is C:FS9.Any help will be greatly appreciated!Regards,ScottKJMS

Hello:I just purchased AS and I can not get Active Radar to work. I read and followed the instructions in the operation manual for set up and usage but when I bring up AR I load the flight plan and push refresh and nothing happens and it reports that flight plan not loaded. I just purchased AS2004 and absolutely love it. Weather looks beautiful within FS. I am running two computers on a network via WideFS, and am able to run AS2004 without a problem. However, I cannot get the ActiveRadar to work properly. Before you think I am completely ignorant, I read the notepad file and PDF document that explained how to set it up, but to no avail. From my FS (WideServer) Computer, I mapped the drive in which AS2004 is installed on my Client computer. When I used the connecter program, I pointed it towards that folder on my client computer, and everything seemed to install well. But when I ran ActiveRadar within FS, all I see is a black square. …

Hi guys, I just installed the latest build 142, I just installed it over my existing 140 build. I now get an error saying, runtime error 339 and the Chilkatzip.dll is missing or corupt.I do have this dll in C:installdir on my wide fs machine along with the two other folders.(modules and scenery). I also ran the connector2 program, I have not yet copied over my fsuipc, but it seems to be the same version as well as the widefs client version.Thanks in advanceVincentCYQR

Hello,Just getting used to this fantastic bird. However, I'm having some problems on descent especially. Just to let you know, I'm using Active Sky 2004 and entering in winds aloft into the forecast page.The problems occurs on a VNAV path descent. The aircraft will be descending smoothly down the Path and glidescope centered, when suddently the airspeed changes to 10 or 20 knots differecne, the glide scope path suddently jumps to complete top/bottom of the scale, altitude changes, and the course line on the ND stats seeking around. I've noticed this about 2 or 3 times on the decent, and each time the aircraft has to make a strong adjustment to regain the path. I think it …

In these days that TS is going weird on me and i cannot find a cure, i often fly offline but with AS.I'd like a small option to let AS close the connection once it has downloaded its data.Currently, when it tries to access the network, i have setup my ADSL connection to automatically dial, but it doesn't close.Would you take into consideration such a small option?Thanks
