Hello, When I run FSinn with Actuivesky the clouds sometimes flicker.I would like to run Activesky with FSinn while flying online using vatsim. What configuration do I need to use to ensure that FSinn's weather is totally disabled so that I don't get the conflict flickers and I only have Activesky active.CheersPaul

First my apologies to ASV users. This is the only forum that I've found related to Weather Center 2.I am using a patched WC2 version 2.3.1.2 in FS9.1. I cannot cycle Ctrl + F12 between display main panel on or off. It only displays initially. The mini display (including radar screen) will not display.Using the menu item to activate and display has no effect.My OS is WIN XP Home.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the situation continues. I checked to be certain that another hot key combination was in conflict.Advise would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Terry

HiI'm not sure if this would be a weather program feature or an aircraft feature but i would love to see the condensation/moisture when temperatures permit, and see a visible frost on the windows.Anyone?

I try use Vatsim weather in Active Sky, and I have problem.In Brazil, the VATSIM have 134 station, so I prefer the VATSIM weather, but when I choice the VATSIM weather in Active Sky, nothing change.Why?After all, which is the difference enters the option to choose the Vatsim Weahter, to Active Sky server? Hi all,I am having to rebuild my FS2004 installation from scratch :( and can't reinstall my AS2004/2004.5 because a backup folder got erased during recent hardware problems. It contained my old wxRE install files. I have tried Damian at [email protected] but my email just gets sent back undelivered. I have since emailed emetrix as the documentation says a new download link is possible. Great product this AS2004.5 - but as for re-installation, surely there must be a better way? OK I have been useing ASV since it came out, and with no problems. But I decided to clean out some programs...yep I took out AS2004.5 and now ASV doesnt work. What do I need to do to fix this?BrianDisreguard this I got it

I hope someone can help. I was very pleased with 4.5 but after upgrading I constantly get a frozen FS9 and a blue screen indicating stuck in a loop caused by nv4_dsp.dll. Hi there,any news on Flight1 FE compatibility?I mean ICS ability to choose FE textures so we'll get tons of new textures to enjoy :-cool w/o the pain of manually load the new stuff.My question: Active Environment Config resolutions do apply also when ICS + Random Sky/Env is checked in Startup Selection Mode? Hi Jim and Damian,so far, I'm very happy with ASV.I suggest you a new option in the next update:"force CB with thunderstorm"...That's because sometimes it happens that the METAR "misses" the CB designator when TS are present (check this KCOS METAR: KCOS 162223Z 31010G23KT 3SM TSRA FEW041 SCT055 BKN075 18/11 A3021).Best regards.

is there anyway to get rid of the really pixalated look of the clouds when flying at night? it seems that there is also a bit of weird purple color and a lot of grain when flying around at night and seeing these textures..is this normal? im using the 512x512 MIP enabled texture set..any ideas?stephen

Active radar screen comes up..flight plan shows..wind speed shows, but no weather does. Weather imports into FS just fine. Any suggestions??

Hi Jim and Damian,I have a small suggestion/request regarding how ASV reads the FS9 flight plan. I do a lot of scenery design and this involves a lot of slewing around to get lat/lon coordinates from FS. In order to facilitate this and to get greater precision I use the following entry in the [MAIN] section of my FS9.cfg file:DISPLAY_FRACTIONAL_MINUTES=0This causes the display at the top of the FS9 screen to display coordinates as Nddd

Good morning, I've done a search regarding this, but couldn't see anything...I'm trying to feed my 1-year old at the same time so may have missed it!Just wondering where AS gets it's weather from? I'm assuming that to get the most accurate representation of weather in AS, I should go to the source you use to get your download information.Lets say I had a hankering to see snow and wind lashing a city in AS. Not too fussed where. Can I go to a picture of world-weather somewhere on the Net on the assumption that what I see, AS sees, and will download if I request it?Hope this makes sense...CheersTim

What is the lowest possible wind setting one can enter into the 'Suface Wind Limit' box, while still forcing FS to change runways based on wind direction?I'm set at 5, which feels like 10 IMO, but I'm trying to make adjustment to my rudders and brakes that will take a while to work out. This way I'd like less than 5 knots, but would still like runways to change.

Hi all,i have a problem with the latest version of ASI always have clouds fading in when looking straight.Its hard to describe. I have set the visibility in FS9 to maximum (120nm) i think.So i have beautiful clouds ahead, but 1 third of the screen is clear skies until the horizon. When you fly (FL360) you see clouds fade in on after the other. The upper part of the horizon always is clear of clouds...I have tried every setting in AS but couldnt get the clouds to "always be there" reaching to the horizon.It always looks as i fly into an area with no clouds and the they fade in.Okay my english sucks but please help me, as i really love the software.Greetings

Hi guys!I just installed ASV on my laptop (2.66GHZ P4 dedicated to ASV and another client IVAP) and I must say smoothe as silk! Well done on how well this works when installed remotely. I do recommend that anybody that has a second PC do this. Now to my question I enabled vas points at 40% and my god they were getting generated every other second! Is this correct?

HiYesterday I was flying a club Cessna 152 in my local area around Denham near London, UKIt was a very windy day with cloudbase 3500 ft and mainly OVC. When I returned home early evening I downloaded the latest weather for the area (EGLL) in ASV/FS but the METAR was still from 1550z even though it was now 7pm in the evening. Once the weather had been processed in ASV and FS I got the correct wind and speed (300/15) but the rest of the weather was totally wrong! No OVC just a pretty blue sky with fluffy cumulus and no gusts or vertical air simulation. Hi Arthur,ASV turbulence is a bit stronger especially with VAS. We are testing SU3 which has the option of adjusting the VAS strength.Yes, awhile back people were adjusting that value to get stronger turbulence into FS. Hello all,At approximately 16:00 Pacific Time today we experienced a double server outage. The problem has been resolved and we apologize to our users for the down time.We have been actively upgrading the system over the past 3 weeks to prevent problems (exactly like this) and obviously we are unsatisfied with the way the system attempted to "correct" itself in this event.
