How do you update the build version

Hi Is there a delay in the delivery of METAR info in ASV?I'm asking because it appears to take an extra hour or two for ASV to receive the correct METAR compared to when I check the current METAR on the UK Met website. The ASV User's Manual states:"During installation, ASV will install FSUIPC into FS2004 automatically. When installed, you will see a new "Modules -> FSUIPC" menu option set in the FS menu bar."I opened the menu bar and do not have this option.The "readme" file indicates in installation item 3 to "Install FSUIPC 3.48 (or later) if not already installed. Hello,Since I did install the latest FSUIPC my aircrafts are always in turbulences (from left to right, down to up...or vice versa ).I did uncheck all the possibilities in FSUIPC and ASV with no success.Any recommendations?

This is something I have problem with TO its very annoying espcilly over the Atlantic ocean becuse of the bad weather stations over there sometimes I get big altitude diffrences and speed changes so I have to decent to pick up speed. I wish there was a way to fix this I would love to hear from HIFISIM about this issue.Best regards:Alexander

Hi, Something has really been bothering me with this issue, seeing i do get this problem with wind shifts and speeds in less than a minute when station change, I find the importence of having wind smoothing absoulutely a must.Since I don't have the registered version of fsuipc, I can't get the satisfaction like others with the weather program not being accurate. I understand its not ASV's fault because the reported wx is accurate but the transition to it is not. However i need to ask, is it possible to add and get this option incorporated with all the other features ande options that ASV offers? Guys, I purchased this yesterday and all works great except the Radar.After starting AVS I load a FS Flightplan into the system and process.It goes thru all the updates and it gives the correct weather for the route.In the Radar it always says no plan loaded !.Also about 70% of the time although there are clouds everywhere the radar screen is just black.Any clues as to what I have done wrong.I'm using the 512 x 512 and have done the mips.Clouds look great.RegardsDaryl

Could you tell me why I always get an alert from my spyware remover stating that "Portal Scan" is being used by ASV ?I tried removing the spyware but the ASV program will not work without it, It tries to reinstall itself instead.Is this portal scan in fact spyware from HiFi.Thanks

Hi,I have ASV installed in a WideFS configuration, that is FS2004/WideServer on PC1, and WideClient/ASV on PC2.I first launch WideClient and ASV. WIdeClient says "not connected" and ASV is started in pause mode and says "FS inactive". I start the data download and click "Refresh". ASV does its job, after what CPU usage continues to go in burst to 100% about halt of the time.I then launch FS2004 on the other PC. WideFS connects, and ASV detects "FS Active".I then quit FS2004. I notice that PC2 CPU usage is stuck at 100% in a nearly permanent way. Looking at the tasks display, I can see that WideClient is actually taking about 90% of those 100%. I have been a customer since ASWXre, and in all three versions the same issue has been a constant - that is, that I will be flying along, and looking at a sky filled with puffy cumulus, say, and then BAM fog soup in every direction. This is always accompanied by the ASV metar red bar at the top of the screen.Totally loses the immersion factor if you know what I mean!Is there any way to correct this? I fly GA aircraft, typically below 10,000 feet.

Can someone suggest visibility limits for the FSUIPC option for clear weather, cloudy, etc?Or are the default numbers fine?And what other options should I check, enforce vis limits?Just trying to make my game as realistic as possible. Thanks for an amazing weather program in ASV!

First and foremost, I love ASV5 and the cloud textures within the program. However, I had a chance this weekend to experience FE (without ASV5) on a friends CPU. I was amazed by the textures and the environment that it produced. I am interested in using FE textures along with ASV5, as I see that both programs have a definate place within my flight sim world. With that said, I have a couple questions.1. Will ICS still work withing ASV5 when using FE cloud textures?2. Is it possible to keep all of AE cloud textures and FE cloud textures within the sim?3. Hi again Jim,This time I won't refer to any serious problems. This time I 'd like to make two proposals for future updates on the BEST ever wx program I have used so far.1. When METAR reads "Few" clouds the sky above gets almost full of clouds (no other cloud layers present) resulting in a non realistic wx depiction. Could it be possible for the user to take more control of this ? A good suggestion I think would be to bring back (in parallel) the older "octas" system 1/8, 2/8, etc., just like FS does.Otherwise user has to intervene selecting only CAVOK, having no other fine tuning option.2. Guys, just recently I've reinstalled FS9. I am using ASV5 and have a question. Is this software capable of dimming the color of the sky at night? After the reinstallation the sky looks kind of blue'ish at night. I think I had a file that darkened the sky a bit from the default FS9 sky but I don't seem to have it anymore.Any ideas? What can cause this? Any wrong settings?Until that now problem. The winds aloft were exactly reflected in my FS2002. A friend flying with me had the same problem.Wind in ActiveSky is correct shown but in the flight simulator is a totally different wind.

Evening all, Recently due to a night texture problem I had to re-install AEU7 (freeware, found in the library-good addon). The files are a little dates, and what ended up happening is it wrote over ASVs HALO texture file. I tried to repair it by using the update installer repair funciton to no avail.Would it be possible to get the halo.bmp sent to me? Or should I uninstall all the way back to AS2004. (willing to do that, those were some great light textures!)Thanks!-Matt

It seems my TAT is changing often and the speed and direction of crz wind, also because of weather the plane thinks it is still in climb mode rather than CRZ.Station $227 has showed the wind direction and speed change rapidly but only stabilizes after a minute or so. OK, I know this topic has been discussed in the past but I do not know if anyone has ever come up with an answer for it. Why is it that flying over the Atlantic at 350, my TAT goes from -11 to +29??? Surely this has to be a bug? I am 8 hours into a flight right now and almost plummeted out of ths sky until I realized what the issue really was, disengaged all a/p and a/t and dove to regain airspeed. I got down to 310 and TAT went from +29 to -2 climb to 33000 TAT to +6 aircraft struggling to stay up, dip back down to 31000. Then 10 minutes later I hear the engines come to life, look at the TAT and it is -13 Climb back up to 350 and now I am stable with a TAT of -13. T…
