HI,My ActiveRadar failed to show returns. This has nothing to do with the new release, 360. MY version was build 325. My tracking stations were correct, and showed RAIN. Outside the "window" it was raining. So, I searched the news group, and found a couple of others have also seen this same failure. Just like them, I removed ASV, then reinstalled the product. Now, once again the ActiveRadar is working correctly. Wanted to post this problem/solution in case anyone else runs into this problem. I have no idea why it stopped working, but the reinstall fixed the problem.jim

Hello SupportIf I've already enabled mips with ASV and converted them, do I have to do it again after upgrading to ASV Enhanced ? I do not have the 128 textures and am not sure if I will get them or not. Have not installed the ASV enhanced yet. Hi,i have just a short question regarding this new option (which seems to be very helpfull for planes like concorde):When flying from station A with a assumed "ISA +10" temperature to station B with a assumed "ISA -10" temperature, what will happen? Will temperature slowly decrease from "+10" to "-10" while travelling from A to B or will i see a constant ISA of "0" for the whole time?Thanks!best regardsjanosch

After installing ASV Enhanced I'm trying to convert my clouds to DXT textures, but when I click on 'enable DXT' I get an error message which reads:'There was a problem executing the DXT update batch file. This may be due to your security/anti-virus settings. You can manually run the batch file and convert your textures by double-clicking on ASV/ActiveEnvironment/dxt.bat'First of all I tried disabling my anti-virus program and still got the same message. Also, when I go into the ASV/ActiveEnvironment folder there is no dxt.bat file to be seen. I've been an extremely satisfied user of Active Sky WxRE, AS2004/2004.5, and now ASV. One thing I have been wanting to ask, but keep forgetting about, is if you could put a 'Print Properties' on the Nav Log section of Active Sky. If not, could there be an option when hitting either of the Print buttons to do so? The reason I ask, I like to print double-sided, to save paper. Right now, if my Nav Log consists of 3 pages of info, I use 3 sheets of paper. Granted, paper isn't expensive, but with the value of a US dollar today, I like to save where I can. ;)

Hi,It happend all the time or just today? download the weather from another day and test. Some time if the weather do have many Stratus clouds they will be streched horizontal. I know this is a product support forum and is (I assume) to provide support for issues with the product. In my case I just wanted to provide some 'positive' support also.I got the product, installed it, configured it and well - like it a lot. I have upgraded to V5 some months ago, but have had nothingbut problems using the software with WideFS.I have 2 PCs on a home network one has FS9 the other various otherprograms running with WideFS. Am unable to download SU1 from the link in the forum. This is silly but I never noticed it and have been running build 314 with update 2(325) with no problems as far as I could tell. Seems its recommended to have SU1 so can anyone help with a link that works.ThanksChris Boyce

Hi AllJust installed the Enhanced upgrade Build 360 for ASV and like the instructions said I went into options and set it to normal defaults.The problem which I seem to have, and never had with the previous version, is just prior to landing I am getting turbulance when on an ILS approach, and disconnecting the A/P approximately 300 feet prior to landing. I have to manually correct the plane to land on the centre line of the runway.I have taxi winds enabled in FSUIPC a registered version which sets the winds at 01 knot, and also disabled the wake turbulance in the ASV options page thinking that may be the problem, but still am getting the turbulance.Several times I got wea…

Hi everyone,I am an activesky user and love it but need your advice on how to solve an issue. I always have a different information regarding wind direction/speed when comparing the info in the active radar and the one displayed in the EHSI (electronic horizontal situation indicator) of some airplanes such as Level D and ATR 72-500. It can be very different sometimes (eg.: 030/70 in the active radar and 180/30 in the EHSI). :-eek What could the reason be for this? How can I solve this?, it gets really annoying since don't know which info to take into account for flight planning.Thanks in advance,Luis

I have downloaded and installed the 128 X 128 cloud textures. How do I tell AE to use them? After the install AE still only shows choices for 64, 256, and 512 textures. I uninstalled and re-installed the 128 set and it's still the same. Thanks.

Hi ASV Team,Thanks for a super product that adds to all of our enjoyment of MSFS. I would not think of not having this Add-On. I have an issue that I have not been able to resolve in ASV, though I do not believe I noticed it in previous versions. I can not seem to untune the radio from picking up the weather. Once ASV is started, even if the Master Switch has not yet been turned on in the aircraft, the current weather messages broadcast. I seems to make no differnce if the Com 1 or Com 2 are tuned to 122.00 or not. Yesterday I tried out some thermal scenery, but couldn't seem to feel any lift. I could see it -- by setting ShowTriggers to 1 in my FS9.cfg -- but I couldn't feel its effects.Could this have something to do with AS? Not blaming the program -- just trying to find the best configuration for gliding.

Hi,I have ASV with update 2 installed, but it keeps causing, as it did with the initial release, a sudden rudder and ailerons deflection on final, even if the weather conditions are not bad. It happens very often and always at about 200 feet when landing. It does not occur if I don't use ASV. Is this a known problem? Thank you.James

After months of use with no problems suddenly yesterday I am unable to load ASV on my widefs laptop. As the blue bar progresses it stops at "reading ICAO station files" and I get an error message that says Initialization error reading files....Please verify your files or reinstall. I tried to reinstall/repair twice, no luck, I did full uninstall/reinstall and it worked until I rebooted my laptop now the same thing again!! No other recent changes to my IBM Thinkpad laptop. I am pulling my hair out as to what is happening. How do I "verify files" if that is all it would take? Everything else on laptop working fine. I have the original ASV and SU1. Thank you so much!…

I seem to be forever posting visibility problems. Well here is another. Cruising along at 6000ft above Misty Fjords when the visibility starts changing rapidly between what you can see in the two attachments. What gives?
