HiASX implements weather into FSX upon start up, after a short period of time it stops updating flight simulator. The map is able to lock to the aircraft.ASX continues to process METAR and TAF information as I progress along my route. If I terminate and restart ASX the weather injects into FSX again, but soon stops updating.Any help would be appreciative.Thank you.

Hello everybody!I frequently use the "Find Wx" option in AS6.5 and find it quite helpful when I want to experience something different than just screwing around at clear sky conditions at my home base... However, to add more value to this great feature, I would like to get your recommendation on something which is similar but quite opposite to the logic behind the "Find Wx" option. In brief, I would like to know if there is any online service which provides wx reports (including date & time of the report to download it through ActiveSky) for a PARTICULAR AIRPORT based on the user's input of weather conditions (precipitation, IFR conditions, etc.). For example, a user w…

Hi,I installed ASX (with SP1) in my second PC (client) in a network configuration. The paths are correct and everything looks fine. I read and followed word by word the relevant documentation. Yet ASX is not sending the weather to the server PC - I don

Greetings all,I did a search for this but come up with nothing. For a few days now, when loading up ASX, I see that there are hundreds (last time 461)of weather stations "did not provide data" ; then when I enter my flight plan, I get an error saying:"Unable to complete due to incomplete weather synthises"It then asks me if I want to install graphics, I hit "ok" and it gives me the same error.I close the program and end up using FS weather...which gives me no probs.Any help sure would be appreciated!Ken LeMay

I a couple of years ago purchased this product at simmarket. I uninstalled my fs9 game and somehow lost the installer for asv6. So......I redownloaded it from Simmarket. Could you tell me if this program would be up-to-date? I notice in your HIFI site there is a upgrade,if I read it right. If I downloaded a update wld I have to reset all the settings again according to the list you sent me? Tim

Hi Jim. Sorry about my last msge in not using the same thread that I was questioning about whether "dynamic weather" setting being set to "none" as your list that you sent me states. I was asking you for help in where to find this item in active sky because I looked & looked and can't find the item in asv6. I just also tryed to find that thread with the list you sent me and cld not find it. If you cannot help with this now that's ok, I'll just look deeper.Thanks.Tim :-)

HelloI just purchased the bundle ASX-XG and this is the message i get when ASX just is about to complete its installation (after creating the shortcut): "An exception 'System.Net.Sockets.SocketException' has occurred in XGaugeWizard.exe." The window this appears in is titled "Just-in-time debugging" and it gives me the option to debug using one of two debuggers: Microsoft CLR debugger or Microsoft Development Environment. Or if i simply choose not to debug i get this message: "Error 1722 there is a problem with this windows installer package. A progam run as a part of the setup did not finish as expected. contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action NewCustomA…

Hi, I have this problem which makes me crazy finding the answer of solving it.The situation happens only with ASV on, and stops only when ASV is off or flying at very high altitudes.I am posting here 2 screenshots to show the problem, and another screenshot below when ASV is disabled and VATSIM weather is used instead. If anyone knows how to solve this problem I will be VERY greatful!YardenThe problem when ASV is working:Problem disappeard when ASV isnt working/flying at high altitudes:

I do not know if anyone has same problem:When I fly online using FSinn connected (Vatsim)I noticed that Fsinn "overwrites" weather datas not allowing ASX decipting for FSX.Today was flying over Europe, ASX was decipting some clouds, as soon as I connected with FSinn (which gave me CAVOk conditions), all cloud desappeared. I switched Fsinn off and ASX could decipt again.I made several times this Fsinn on/off test and result was always the same: Fsinn and ASX give weather instructions to FSX at the same time. Now, is there any option somewhere on ASX, FSinn or FSX to let ASX only accomplish its duty without any interference from anything else!!!ThanksNick

I am an avid user of your Activesky X weather addon for FSX and fire it up everytime i use the sim, but a couple things have me a bit puzzled. What are the correct settings you would use for SP1 and i remember that in the original release the settings page had the virtual stations and another setting checked off, and now using default settings in ASX they turn those check boxes off. I know that those settings have caused problems concerning wind shifts while airborne, so by having these settings checked off by default, are you recommending NOT to turn these features on?Just wanting a little clarification hereAny help would be appreciated

First off I must say that AS is one of the greatest FS add-ons ever!!Now a slight problem. I've had to give up my 2nd monitor for a while. I used to fly with the cockpit spread over both, and when I would "minimize" active radar (AS6), the small radar screen would be on the right hand monitor. Now using just one monitor, it disappears. I assume AS thinks there is still a monitor over there somewhere. What must I do to correct this? Flying without Active Radar just doesn't seem right!Thank You for any help!Dave P.

Is it possible to set the Active Sky weather source to be the same as the Microsoft FSX weather server.(It appears that one can set it already to get Vatsim Weather)While the Active Sky weather servers are undoubtable the best, just as there is a need to keep all Vatsiom Players using the same weather, the same applies to those flying undfer FSX Multiplayer, if they choose to fly in a serious, realistic session.Grated Microsoft weather is not always accurate, but in a Multiplayer game, it is obviously better for all to have the SAME weather, as opposed to the "correct" weather. In an Ideal world, Active sky would have a checkable option to "Use Microsoft Weathe…

Hi Jim. You will doubtless remember all the problems I had with AS6 - some months back you sent me some wx files which were supposed to be 'clear weather', 'thunderstorm', 'blizzard' etc. I have got really fed up of the weather that eventually appears in FS9 bearing no relation to what is shown in the main 'decoded' area of AS6 (your 'clear weather' file, for instance, shows as clear in the AS6.5 window, but in FS9 the sky is full of grey clouds). The main annoyance is that when I start at certain airports, like Heathrow or JFK, the scenery is so crowded that having lots of nice, heavy clouds is the final straw, fps-wise. I need to be able to select almost cloudless skies…

Hi!I have always loved your products but am having a slight bit of difficulty with X Graphics (I bought the ASX bundle). I have updated my drivers for my NVIDIA 7900 card. I downloaded both SP1 for ASX and XG. However, it seems that sometimes when I fly, my textures will just completely go bonkers in the VC and etc. I see a mishmash of lines and etc. If I switch to 2D, the mismash is only seen on the outside land and etc. It almost looks like these huge brown triangly type lines going in and out of the screen. Has anyone experienced this?Chris

Hi,I think I've found a very small bug.Try the following to reproduce the behavior:- Start ASX- Select 'Force to Sim Time'- After initialization has completed, exit ASXThis is my normal exit configuration of ASX.- Start ASX again- Deselect 'Force to Sim Time'-> Now you can't select 'Set to historical' to select any historical weather. To be able to select historical weather again, you have to select and deselect 'Force to Real Time'As I said, it's only a small malfunction.Wolfgang

Hello !We are in hurricane season and we have Dean (tropical storm level 4) on Hispaniola now. Weather reports winds around 200/240 km/h (it's 130 kts). In ActiveSky X, we have still winds limited to 99 kts beetween 0 and 15000 feet. (I have surface wind velocity in settings limited at 200 kts). We have also no turbulence (strange in a tropical storm) and a wind direction constant in each part of hurricane. So, is hurricane depiction only graphic or is FSX unable to render such weather phenomena ? I can't believe that Active Sky can't modelize winds in hurricane or at least give some realistic wind speed (more than 99 kts with turbulence and windshear).Maybe a track for SP…

After running Active Sky intensiveky for years without any error, I now get a 'Main Thread process error' right after start, at any location.I just returned from a 3 weeks vacation, nothing changed on the computer. It is 6.5, Build 552.Is this a server problem or something on my end ?Mike

Hi,I'm wondering if there has been any discussion to broaden the control of ASG over a network by ASX. It would seem that this would be possible but maybe not? I would like to see ASX have the ability to talk to ASG. As it stands it doesn

Ever since I installed X Graphics FSX (sp1) crashes when I click "Free Flight" (that is, before I have the chance to click "Fly Now", I can't even open the free flight tab). Any ideas?Oh, and I have tried to install sp1 of X Graphics as well. Still doesn't work. And FSX crashes with the message "Yadi yadi, Fatal Error, yadi yadi". Sort of.Regards,o(Edit: Made a very bad error report somewhat clearer.)
