How to get rid of them? Metar says clear and I have them... ok slider is set to 1% because i want them from time to time, not all the time. Is there any way out of this?PsI know that usually metars do not report them :)

I just had FS9 crash on me, it has been a while and it gave an error message I've not seen before (see below). I've been having trouble getting ASE to work reliably and think the two are related. So I decided to check the Event Log as well and found several of the above errors. Any idea?

This situation occurs often. A early morning flight today from KSLC to KMEM. Prior to departure I read the KMEM weather paying extra attention to the surface winds and altimeter. This assists in picking a landing runway for setting up a complete route. Upon arrival at KMEM the runway has changed from 36C to 9. The altimeter has gone from in the 80s' to the 20s'. Yet it has been essentiaslly clear sinceleaving the KSLC area. It is clear at KMEM. No big weather systems have passed thru KMEM in several days. So who is right. ASX or ATIS?Thank youMike Cubine

I'm running AS6.5/Vista/FSX and every time I start up AS6.5 I get the following message: "Error accessing internal components (Unencrypt step 4-. Please run the 'Repair' option via the ASv6 setup.exe to replace required files."So I run the repair tool as directed, start up as6.5 again and get the same message.Help!Thanks.Dan

I decided to uninstall ASA and use the Full ASE version with my ASA licence key. All ASA/ASE folders were manually deleted after going through the normal uninstall process (Win XP). ASE is working fine over a home network, a few small cloud pop issues but nothing to worry about.I am using ASE on the client machine (laptop with Win XP), with FSBuild and FS9/FSX on the server computer (Windows 7 Pro x64). I have pointed FSBuild to the new ASE application folder - \\laptop\Documents and Settings\myname\Application Data\HiFi\ASE\Weather and saved this in settings of FSBuild, but it refuses to obtain the weather from ASE when building a flight plan. So I have the following issue. Metar shows rain and clouds like sct 700, ovc 1400 and rain. I pass thru the layers and... rain continues all the way up to like 17000 or 18000 even. Is this normal? Is this FS issue or something to do with dynamic rate of weather change? It looks kinda freaky :)

To all,Switching to AS Evolution was a logical step after using both AS 6.5, ASX and ASA.However, now I have run into some annoying problem.When I start FS-x (or fs-9 for that matter) I ALWAYS have to start ASE from scratch. I can't leave it running (it runs on my laptop over a network) while I close down the sim.I mean, I can leave it running but when I restart the sim, there's no way that I can get it to load the weather.The only way to get the correct weather in the sim is then to close down ASE and to restart that as well.I tried it by doing a 'refresh' but all that happens is that ASE starts downloading the weather files again but it doesn't transfer it to the sim. Hey Jim,A very similar post to my support email to see if anyone else is having the issues as well...In an effort to tackle the niggling TAT issues some of us are still suffering with I decided to go for the full fresh install of ASE today. I uninstalled ASE then ASA then ASV and deleted all remaining folders. Then I ran the ASE full install and input my ASA code. Immediately I noticed that at EGCC I was getting no temperature updates at all but FS was still showing 58F at EGCC when it should be 26 F. I'm beginning to wonder why Evolution was released when there is so many issues. Certainly these had to be seen by the beta testers? Constant popping clouds, erratic winds, high altitude clouds, etc. etc. I've had to go back to AS6 all together as Evolution is just not cutting it.AS6 is a superb program and I understand it was developed by the same fellow who just released Evolution. Is there any talk of a service pack or fix being released anytime soon? I check this forum everyday but never read any communications indicating a fix is in the future.Thanks,Mitch

When I am loading a flight from a previous time, the weather is not updating to the current weather with ASE. Is it possible to load flights and have ASE input the current weather ?

Hi all :( I've this problem :With Windows 7 64 and ASA (Built 435) on a second computer, with simconnect.I fly during 1 hour at 25 nm from my initial airport. (landing at the same airport)At te beginning I've the good ATIS on FSX (QNH 1004, Overcast 3700ft) but when I come back, the ATIS give me a QNH 1013 and sky clear.In the same time, On ASA I've QNH 1003 and Overcast 3700 ft.FSPassenger don't like this :( Other thing : During this flight I never had any in sim text message from ASA after my takeoff.It seem to me that ASA don't update automaticaly the datas to FSX via simconnect on my system. I will open a new topic because I came a doubt.I have ASE, FS9, FSX that does not use.In ASE, I have the options only for FS9.Why simconnect tries to connect with FSUIPC and I find a file simconnect.log reporting errors?

Hello,I know there's already an (very old) thread about ASX and the reality WX500.I'm generally interested in the WX500 but I fear with DWC that I don't get right weather on the WX screen.Can some users (or Jim) please share their experience with ASE, DWC enabled and the WX500?Is there any other (better) Weather Radar for FSX?I know about the CaptainSim, but many say, the reality is far better.Please share your thoughts.Thanks very much!

Real short and simple.I think I'm nailing this down...for the past hour KTUS and surrounding areas here have been very IFR (low solid overcast, rain, maybe 2 mile vis) and yet ASE after going through its updates and all shows from KTUS as 22017KTS 10SM BRKN065 16/01 A2979?Huh?Looking at the last update it was 4 minutes ago. Upon refreshing the weather for updates, the weather seems "stuck on "BRKN065". Upon launching ASE depicts the weather as reported via automatic downloading including the BRKN065 cloud base, so I can't fault it for that. Hi,I'm new to the ASE program as I have been using AS65 since who knows when. ASE works perfectly in FS9 (which I still use) weather is depicted, no wind shifts, no pressure changes or cloud pops.In FSX it is a total disaster no matter what I try to do. I use RC4 for every flight so enabling DWC is a no go for me as it screws up my arrival weather. I use FSUIPC4 for wind shifts only while using ASE. I force destination wx at 80 miles but the weather is still changing all the way until the plane touches down on the runway then the weather is correct.
