Hey Guys,Recently I have had this issue where if I load up, or am flying to an airport, for example 'YMMB' or Moorabbin, I get ADVANCED INTERPOLATION at the end, which I believe is just a metar made from the weather around this airport. However, when I type .metar YMMB in squawkbox, there is a full METAR, and this isnt being put in ASE, I'm just getting a interpolation metar. It seems to happen around most of the airport in AU, NZ etc. If I could have some help to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.Kind Regards,James

I had been having some problems with ASE not being able to connect to the HIFi servers. That issue seems to have resolved itself for now. Like many users, I have also had some problems with destination winds not being correct. hi, i have done everything from the doc for network setup, sever is vista and client is xp, fire walls are set up on both, take a look at the ase log, looks like it should be working and also i acceleration installed with fs deluxe. i have run the traffic from the client, and it stays open for about 10 seconds, with no message. here is the log, thanks

I download weather in ASE then start FSX and the weather depiction is pretty much according to the Metar report. As my flight continues to another area with different weather, the FSX depiction does not change even though the weather gage indicates the different conditions per the nearest Metar report. In other words, if I fly from an area with scattered clouds at 3500' into an area with clear skies, there are still scattered clouds at 3500'. This has been a constant condition thru months of use. HiAfter SP1 I have instant clouds and visibility change, after weather station update (after I see this message on screen).I didn't change anything in settings vs previous version.What to do to change this behaviour?Local Change Suppression is set to 60nm, and max visibility to 50nm. Hello everyone!One of the things I do not understand is why the the 6.5 is much better than the ASE.The worst thing that exists on issues related to weather in the FS are the abrupt changes in clouds, temperatures and winds. I am using ASA. After installing FSX on the server (ASA is installed on the client for a couple of years now) I thought I installed correctly simconnect.cfg, simconnect.xml and simconnect.ini. And of course creating the paths between the 2 machines libraries.I cannot succeed to establish a dialog between FSX and ASA.Then I read in the SDK manual that I needed to execute Simconnect.msi on the client machine. Greetings,I am currently using ASA on an FS9/WinXP machine. I still have AS v6.5 installed on it also, which I haven't used in a long, long time. Hi Jim,Comparing the real wx image with the one produced by ASE, I see much more (i.e.) cumulus clouds than FEW the local METAR quotes. I know it is a matter of "blending" among the adjacent wx stations, but it remains still in many cases out of a real-like wx depiction. I noticed that a significant role plays the thickness of cloud layers - if you reduce it, the wx comes closer to reality. By the way, what makes ASE select one cloud-thickness value or another ?I could, of course, choose the wx config way to adjust depiction but I think that some corrective actions should be taken by ASE developers on that interface, in order to make wx configurator more efficient, like i…

Hi,I have decided to run ASA on a Vista32 client (previously on Vista64 server). I have done a complete reinstall of FSX and all updates including acceleration on a different C:/ dir. (Server). Anyway, it all seems to have gone o.k. (no error messasges). When i start ASA client, all the buttons turn to color at the top except start FS. You have to get rid of the green message that pops up saying that it updated a weather station, it comes on every 5 to 6 seconds and I can not disable it with fsupic (hide all single line messages) it causing studders everytime it pops up. This has to be fixed.

I was hoping to see it with SP1 for ASE. I use voice communication via second sound card, but Flight Watch is forced to be on Windows primary sound card. There is a workaround for this, but it takes some before every launch of ASE. If this in not on a roadmap, do anybody knows a program or command line parameter, to use non-default sound device?

I was looking at the interpolated weather station created near my home airport today and noticed something odd. The winds here today are gusting from 10-20 kts, but the interpolated station has only 2-3 kts of wind. Here's a shot of the interpolation source data, along with the results at bottom (Build 572).Is there a way to turn off these interpolation sites? Or some setting I should change?
