I'm on my work computer so please forgive the somewhat inexact terminology. I know that ASE can be set to slave (clone?) the weather within an 80 mile radius to that of the destination airport. Is it possible for me, the user, to reconfigure that distance to 50 miles? Using FSX and W-7.

I have been using ASE for a few months now and just want to know if this normal, if I shut down ASE on my (I use it across a network)Client PC my FSX will freeze and lock up.

I have tried to reinstall ASG and Asv 6 so that my ASE will get the graphics for snapshots to send to FS9. I keep getting the following error when I do:Error 1327.Invalid Drive: E:\ I dont have a drive E. Any help would be appreciated. Ken

I have a situation in ASE which has longed bugged me. Flying the LDS 767 today from Atlanta to Boston weather was overcast in Atlanta, but cleared up in ASE map view and with the NWS satellite view. While I was at 37,000 feet I got this haze in all directions around the aircraft. I have noticed that on ALL my flights with ASE I get this haze never really clear view of the ground until I descend below 10,000 feet.I run ASE with FSX sp2 on a Vista platform. Hi,This has been bugging me for a while... On my normal FS setup I use ASE on a second PC but then sometimes if I just want a quick blast about I don't bother setting up the WideFS machine and just use my main FS rig, which has ASv6 for the weather...Sometimes I also use ASv6 to check weather for afcad choice (before firing up the whole mulit PC setup) and what I have noticed, is that the METAR data is often very different between the two programs!Here is an example for EGLL today (but I notice the problem is often present)ASv6 -> EGLL 211120Z 03006KT 340V080 9999 SCT042 24/12 Q1031ASE -> EGLL 211220Z 06008KT 020V080 9999 SCT043 23/12 Q1031 NOSIGREAL -> EGLL 2…

With FSX without FSUIPC, loading parsing line items is immediate.With FS9, it takes 2 to 3 minutes.What is the reason for this difference?

Hi, I'm having an issue since updating to ASE SP1. Weather updates set at 30 minutes. ASE is updating about every three minutes with text running across the screen saying it is updating x amount of stations then update complete.While this is done by ASE I get 1 big stutter or flashing in FSX.This happens all the time while ASE is updating the weather. Without SP1 there was no trouble at all and everything worked well.Flightplans made by Flight Commander and FsBuild.This happens with default aircraft and LevelD 767 as well.Edward Smeets

I tested ASE with FSX.Everything works fine.They are also perfect times of updates (no green lines every 3 minutes).So what?It is clear that this is a programming error for FS9; or, an issue, between ASE and FSUIPC (very likely).HiFi, try to resolve this quickly.Thanks

I just finished updating my computer to a quad 4 machine and have a problem with ASE. First off, I ran fsx and on my networked computer I ran the AI program to test Simconnect and it saw FSX. I start ASE and it asks for FSX location which I have mapped and shared so I select it. ASE sits there for about a minute then gives me the following error box:Database write/corruption problem, yhour station database files could not be updated. Please make sure sharing is properly setup. Proper ASE operation is not possible. Please restart. I know it is shared correctly. I can see all the folders and files in my fsx folder from my network computer. Help please. Ken

In the past few months I've noticed that even at FL430 and up I'll often find myself in what appears to be nearly zero visibility.Its like flying in fog and no horizon is visible. These altitudes should almost always be haze-free with the horizon visible. What setting controls this condition? Thanks(everything else is pretty good)

One of the things that has always annoyed me about FSX weather is that just as you are about to enter a cloud it disappears. I know cloud permanency is an issue HiFi has worked on and made some good progress on. But I was wondering if you could say if this is something that you think you could one day eliminate completely or is it something that is always going to remain to some degree. I was also wondering if this is something you could elaborate on as to why this happens.

Hello Jim,I want to install the ASE upgrade from ASA.1. The ASA version I have installed ia 11.0.0433. Is this Pre or post SP1?2. Does the ASA to ASE upgrade download include ASE SP1 or do I need to install SP1 separately?Thanks.

Hi HIFI!Why this:when i import a route in ASE then i became different wind-data for my flightas i use the program ASV6.5I mean any little changes are possible,but this:ASE - Route LOWL-LTAI : Winds 235/52 Wind Component 14.ASV6 Same Route : Winds 299/54This are not little different winds,but ASV and ASE works with the SAME DATA.Alti

I'm trying to download my route weather using ActiveSky 6.5 with FS9. Right now, it's telling me at the top of the screen that my active weather is for 0853Z, when it is now 1545Z. Any ideas to why this is occurring? I've been having this type of issue for a while now, sometimes 2 hours old, sometimes 3 hours. I thought it was supposed be active about an 1 hour after the fact.Thanks for any help.Robert

This happens very often - I get this straight line that appears just around 30,000ft (this pic is 32,000ft). I do understand that this is a cirrus layer, and from ground up it looks very nice. But this high - yuck. Is there a way to prevent it without turning off Cirrus clouds completely?
