Just to tempt all.....there may be a negative interference between FSX and FS9 installed on the same computer?Jim, for your test, FSX and FS9 are on different computers or are they in the same computer?

Hi guys - Just built new system and in process of reinstalling things. I installed the full package of ASE/572 with no issues.I have always preferred the XG airport & taxiway textures over the default FSX.Two things: is there a shortcut way to just install the specific textures w/o installing the whole XG package?2 - I bought xg bundled with as6 I believe - how do I just install xg - assuming I can find my original d/l that is. :)Thanx,Vic

I have tried everything since upgrading to ASE from ASA in W7 and all it does is crash. ASA was working fine, ASE crashes. There does not seem to be an uninstall utility for ASE and now trying to launch ASA, which is still available, asks for a license key which it will no longer take.Please help!!!Mike T.

First thanks for the Service Pack....!!!A question is if this "issue" is fixed, that ASE needs to be restarted if FSX would be restarted?Here on my side I don't get ASE to generate weather when FSX would be restarted.I have to restart ASE completely to get it work. Even ASE is obvisiously recognising that FSX is running as I get the message if I want to shut down ASE.Also "refresh" doesn't help to solve this....My system is FSX with AccPack at WIN7 64 bit.All Admin rights. Recently I've had an issue where the weather gauge goes black in the middle of a flight. The fix has been to uninstall and then reinstall including the last update.About 30 minutes or so in a flight the Wx will go black on the weather gauge. There definately is precip. It's not liking something while connected. The reinstall seems to be the only fix. Clearing the Wx with Fsuipc or FS9 and restarting the applications do not correct once it's gone black.I'm running VIsta (Business) 64. Registered latest copy FSIUPC 3.98. FS9 w 9.1 patch, FS NAvigator. Tons of AI. All the goodies.System is plenty powerful 2.7 Quad Core. 2G RamGforce 9600GT Video Memory- 1024 MB DDR3 <…

Here I am 4 years and three hours later and this program still refuses to work. ASX, ASA, ASE. No matter how many coats of pretty paint you put on it, it still doesn't work.How does everyone put up with this?Sorry for venting like this, but I just wasted my flight night trying to get ASE just to work, and I'm not very happy about it. :(

I am reinstalling ASA on a new computer tomorrow with two hard drives.. one for FSX and another for FS9. and have all versions on my current computer. I just sent Jim an email with the specifics and the license number for ASA. Greetings,I selected the wrong folder for FSX. I actually seletect the FS9. When I tried to switch from FS9 to FSX nothing would happen. So when I tried again and looked at the main menu it stated something to the effect of:"FSX folder error. Can't find something or other. Staying with FS9 settings."So I couldn't switch. I looked though ini files and couldn't find anything about the settings. I had to remove the shares and fire it uo again so I would get error messages at the beginning.In the event that this happens again, where can I set those parameters?Thanks,-Matt

Did three flights already... no temp issues (yet) but, I've not flown over fog/mist/rain so don't know for sure. anyway, looking great keep up the good work. (FSX w/ SP2 here)I still see the problem with station data not matching FSBuild, but thats not a critical issue, I'm using the Briefing screen winds in ASE and they do match 100% what I get in my route so I can input that on the FMC.also... not sure if everyone has noticed this, but using the LATEST FSUIPC registered version w/ASE completely removes S-Turns, has anyone also noticed this?

First of all, yesterday, ASE decided for the first time that it could not locate my FS2004 installation and invited me to browse to locate it which I did. It still wasn't happy, said it couldn't continue and closed down. So, I ran the Flight 1 registry fixer tool then started ASE again but same result. So, I uninstalled and re-installed ASE and although it was still saying it couldn't locate FS2004, when I browsed to the location it then ran.Then I downloaded the update for ASE but when I tried to install it I was told that as I don't have ASA installed, it couldn't install the update. Till today I'm not clear about how to apply offline weather saved by AES. For example downloading historical weather and saving it.Then, another day, I'm going to open the file by the open button. After doing that nothing happens. Neither the report screen refreshs with the new data loaded nor it's going to apply in fs9. Also tried the refresh button after opening saved offline weather.What I'm doing wrong? How to manage saved weather to be loaded into fs9 and showing it's data at the report screen of AES?Further on what role do the time setting options play when applying / downloading weather. Greetings,I flew last from KLOM->KPAE via CARRO and ARPEE. It's a short fligtht. I set up the ASE flight plan, and changed the surface winds at KPAE to 100, and added a cloud layer with a base of 2600'. I made the changes by selecting "Refresh". I checked the ASE map and hovered over KPAE which reflected my changes. I tuned in KPAE ATIS shortly after takeoff and it too reflected my changes.However, when I got there the weahter had changed. The clouds were at 3500 feel now instead of 2600. After the flight I checked the ASE map and it showed the change to 3500' as well. What could cause the destination airport weather to change like that? Is there some setting? I looked…

I did the first test with FS9:- Sims text are OK (good)- The initial loading is very fast (good)- The clouds depiction errors are still present (not good)

Haven't noticed there's a new AS until yesterday when I saw SP1 for Active Sky Evolution has been released. Today I decided to resurrect AS and see if I can get it to work.There must be something I'm doing wrong. So here is my vision:ASEsp1 is installed on a network computer using WideClient. The FS computer is using FS9. I want to open my filghtplan, process it in ASE, then set the weather manually at certain waypoints. Then set the super duper IFR weather at the destination airport. Hi Everyone,I have posted on HIFI and want to spread my search. Here is my issue....I have updated my ASE with the new update from yesterday. Ase does not depict the correct weather into FSX. For example, I am parked at the gate in Atlanta and ASE is indicating a layer of Few clouds at 4500 and a layer of Scattered at 10000. FSX is only showing a layer of clouds at 6500, which i confirmed by slewing the aircreaft up to that level. No clouds at 4500 or 10000. I even tried to manually adjust the weather and try to load it, but it would never depict into FSX.
