The sun can be a nemesis, but at other times it leaves you in awe! When it penetrates you, like it does to the aircraft in the first photo, it can render you with the worst headache. But when it combines with other elements like clouds, sunrises, and in today's case, a sunset, it takes your breath away. These are from a flight this afternoon from historic Willow Run airport (KYIP) near Detroit, Michigan, to Spirit airport (KSUS), just west of St Louis, Missouri. Arguably my favorite helicopter, I just love the sleek look of the S76, the retractable gear, and the autopilot Xplane11 includes on the S76.... The two lakes shown are Estrella Mountain Ranch in Goodyear, AZ, a beautiful master planned community. There are paths that circumnavigate both lakes, and I've taken walks there with the beautiful Estrella mountains as a backdrop. Estrella Mountain Ranch has its own schools, strip mall and a rec complex for the folks lucky enough to live there (I can't complain though, my apartment complex has four pools, LOL) John

Clearing, especially in the upper atmosphere, helped provide more color for my hockey trip flight back to the U.S. from Ottawa to Detroit than during Wednesday's flight up. In addition to some expansive blue sky and bright sun, the trip was awarded views of Lake Ontario off to the left, and glimpses at the Ontario lakes of Scugog then Symcoe. [/url]

Without words... (Ortho4XP, stock LIML, Aerosoft EDDF, stock WX, stock clouds, MaxxFX, tweaked art controls) The attention to detail and the texturing is mindblowing! D-ABHD was a former CONDOR aircraft. When Lufthansa took it over, the original "CONDOR" logo could still be seen underneath the LH lettering! (as can be seen on real life photos of the aircraft!)
