The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Hehe...only in flightsim is this statement not "inflammatory" Just finished my new PC update after a complete Windows 10 "update" meltdown. (well still adding some addons). Went from a 4790k which I loved, to an 8700k...which screams! Anyway, did a flight in my CJ2 and the trusty RXP GTN keeping me from getting lost...and thought I'd post my 1st screen with the new rig. After I passed the the WAZZU waypoint outside of Juneau, my wife asked where my plane was. I told her to look at the screen, just up from WAZZU....so she quips back....."oh so you're up the WAZZU?" It got a laugh so I had to share it! So in the future you can fly there to say you've bee…

So when I left off we had landed and were sitting idling in the F406 on the ramp here at Page Field in Ft Myers, Florida, trying to hook up with the aviation company from which I have leased an “island-festive” livery C208 Grand Caravan with updated avionics for our “dive” down to the islands. We needed to rendezvous so we could offload our vacation gear from the F406 to that C208! When I finally get in touch with them and they come to meet me, they show up with a “plane Jane” C208 with what I consider to be antiquated avionics. NOT what I signed on for! Has the look to it that would have us climbing out of it in business suits instead of swim suits! It is also w…

Going through checklists and allowing my seven guests to get settled. It’s a long flight to Ft Myers. Off KIND from Rwy 14 (okay! Snow will be back in next shot)! Over south Central Indiana and Lake Monroe, near my alma mater, Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana. Over the Ohio River and Louisville, Kentucky, with Louisville International Airport-Standiford Field (KSDF) just ahead. Approaching the Tennessee River and the impressive Great Depression Era Tennessee Valley Authority water conservation projects near Chattanooga, Tennessee. They are quite something to see, even on the ground. Some of …

I recently decided to plan a Transatlantic flight between France and Alaska, on a simple Lancair Legacy. This is the story of my first flight from Valence (Rone valley, France) to Stornoway (Scotland) I will take off with a calculated reserve of almost 10 Gal at destination, which represents almost 250nm of margin in economic cruising speed. The expected flight time is close to 4 hours, and the fuel consumption is relatively high throughout the flight, due to a highly negative wind component along the route (30-40 kts) Note 2 particularly long legs: TLA => ERSON above Glasgow (66 nm) and most importantly NEVIS => STN just before the approach, 105 nm includ…
