The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Thought i'd do something a bit different as a homage to my very first flight simulator, X-Plane 5. Released back in 1999, it's now been 19 years for me since i've started this wonderful hobby. 19 years is also quite some time between graphical advancements in gaming and I always enjoy seeing how technology progresses. Can you imagine how flight simulators will look in the year 2037?

I leave this morning for a 4 month hunting season in the Aleutian Range south of Denali. I just got my good old 1957 Super Cub out of the hangar. Engine preheated because in this morning of mid-November, the temperature is below -10°C. Loaded to its maximum with dried meat, rice, hunting bait, some tools and a rifle on the wing strut. According to my calculation we will take off just 2 lbs below MTOW. And no front wind to give us a bit of lift. This should be a long run. The skis almost grazed the treetops, but here we are. A few wing waves to greet the house where we'll be back in Spring. Somewhere south of Fairbanks, enroute to Healy, our entr…

Scenery, MSE California, Nevada and Utah (Utah shots over Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon) Aircraft, Alabeo DA40 and Carenado Cessna Citation 550 What does one do when one is retired? I spend several hours a day flying P3DV4 and Xplane11, both outstanding work by outstanding developers, not to mention the great add-on developers Carenado, Alabeo and MSE's V2 scenery!

I am on final to Perpignan in the Midi Pyrenees, near the Spain border. The scenery is imported with fs2xplane from Occitania VFR. The clouds you can find on the .org : Environment+ 1.0.1, one of the best I have seen as of yet. Enjoy.

Brian sent me a text asking me to fly a short hop from PANC to PAWS...noting that the weather there was bad and I may have to go missed if it was below mins. Anyway, as weather in Alaska is, by the time I flew the flight the weather was underwhelming as you can see here...it actually looked worse on departure from PANC: As I taxied in, I saw my plane's long lost brother! hehe...pretty unusual to another 337, much less an AI bird. Not wanting to disappoint Brian, I cranked the weather to right at mins at PANC for the return trip and let my RXP GTN 750 help me get on the ground safely. Heading back to PANC...between the layers, getting ready to…

Found a lovely Skymaster down in Nice, France. Bought her and then flew her back to the UK This is an excellent repaint in the AVSIM library by Richard Luycx back in 2011 That's Brigitte Bardot painted on the wing; the original registration is F-BRDO, but seeing as I'm in England... Also the plane originally had "Spirit of St. Tropez" on the front fuselage. Now it's more like "Spirit of St. Helens" as I landed at Liverpool John Lennon. IMHO a beautiful paint job Richard!

First load up. Clouds are incredible. No HDR or PTA. I'm quite happy with this, plus performance seems to have increased.
