Here is a series from my latest flight using the ever-useful RXP GTN. For reference (I mentioned in my last post but not everyone views every post, hehe), The GTN usually sits on my lap on a tablet, I drag the screen onto the main view for the screenshots to reference how I'm using it for navigation). It's a great day to fly - I'm off for a short hop over the Tetons to Driggs, Idaho. Scenery featured is GPB500's KJAC (payware part of a large package of excellent airports). REX SkyForce Test Flight, sorry they are not in order. Random Theme selected in SkyForce. Departure out of Tontouta (NWWW) for Port Vila (NVVV), Carenado PC12 (Bert and AutoGyro v57 Mod), Snips are all out of P3Dv4 and cropped using Windows Default Photo Editor. System:4790k, 16GB DDR3 and GTX980.

A few random screenshots (completely unretouched) from today's flight between YBCG (Coolangatta) and YBCS (Cairns) and the FSLabs A320. I started the flight using the REX weather engine included in Skyforce but kept running into the .net issue. Also, from my experience from my first test (yesterday) wih Skyforce, the weather injections and redraws were painfully abrupt and jarring. Tested the same flight (LFMN to EGKK) with ASN and Skyforce and the resulting weather was much smoother during updates. I selected the cargo ramp at Southend airport (UK2000 demo) with an appropriately liveried plane which used to fly from there. Was this or is this the cargo ramp? A current chart doesn't seem to indicate this. Also note that this is the demo scenery from UK2000 so some structures may well be missing, but still, the old Connie looks rather cool IMHO.

Am running a 1070 4x SSAA = not a good option for clouds but that's how I roll With the GLJ at EGNX with no weather at all, clear skies I get 48-50 FPS in the VC. Its was grim here this morning so I thought I would fire up P3D and see how it looked...yes it to was grim. FPS were fine no different to normal. So why I thought of this I have no idear. I thought I would run a FPS test as people ask about optimization and FPS. I thought it would be overcast but it can easily look like that from the ground. Happy New Year Guys! Getting into GA flying and have to say I'm really enjoying the break from the tubliners. Took a flight in the awesome TBM850 with the RXP GTN750 from KDEN to KTEX. Just picked up the Orbtz KTEX and wanted to see how she looked. Okaaayyy....I was in Dallas and had to get to Denver to take the trip to KTEX....soooo....flew this lovely AA 737 on a beautiful dawn departure....taxiing to the active while a Company 'Bus launches into that awesome sky. Man, such a nice bird that unfortunately crashes on every flight. Anything above 2-3 hours and VAS is gone and that is if I am lucky to fly more than 30 due to some random CTD. I do fly PMDG 777 on same routes and visual settings without issues so I know it's QW that's crashing everything.

I'm flying an Aztec out from VC Bird airport on Antigua, as an air taxi. Lots of fun and keeping busy. I was looking for a place to call home, and found Caribbean Star's abandoned hanger (they went out of business some time ago, but the fully painted hanger sits in my VC Bird scenery - perhaps Taxi2Gate, I can't remember...). Using Instant Scenery, I kitted out the hanger, added another plane or two ffrom the fleet and some bagged waiting to be loaded. Now it really feels like my air taxi hub :)
