The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Returning from the Salt Mines this evening, I took a very German color scheme (DIVXA) to Innsbruck, just to keep things apropos. The Wx was perfect LOWI 182315Z 1900/1924 27005KT CAVOK TX03/1913Z TNM05/1904Z TEMPO 1922/1924 -FZRA SCT050 BKN070. The light was getting softer, and in a few minutes all the captivating charm of Tyrol would assert itself. The cockpit of a DA62 was just the place to shake off the dust of the day and retreat far from the madding crowds. We taxied down to the Alpha hold line, and with final clearance began the back taxi for RW08. The neon signs just past the airport boundary fence were lit, and together with the long shadows…

I'm happy I've got a viable solution to take pics and post them with this Linux box while my PC is still in storage. So I'll hopefully be bringing some XP11 shots every week or so

No matter how many addons I use for Xplane 11, the whole feel of it is always like this: http:// Any second now your world gets eaten, because the living world moved on without you.

Still painting this girl, but thought she needed a flight (ok...I really wanted to fly her, hehe) Climbing out, the Golden Gate peaking through the clouds In the climb....over 10,000 and climbing to cruise Letting down into Anchorage...flaps coming down and nice puffy clouds to ride through.... At the Cargo depot....DHL getting loaded next to me as I crack open the nose door for unloading. Not sure when she'll be done as there is a lot of metal and detail work to do...but she just so looks nice in flight as she is I had to take her on a trip. I know...."Spend more time painting and less time flying Steve"...Hehe....I used to do that, trying t…

With the Hawker H850XP, it was possible to climb rapidly over the towering mountains of Valdez, but, because the aircraft was so fast, it was impossible to observe any close-up scenery. So, for this flight, I've utilized the V35 Bonanza. This aircraft has had the ill-repute of being called the "forked-tail doctor killer", which is likely unjustified. Studies indicate that the accident rate of this aircraft is no worse (or even actually better) than any comparison aircraft (accounting for pilot training and skill). Anyway, I hope you like the images of this popular aircraft re-visiting the vicinity of Valdez - but now in somewhat greater details that before. Thanks for vie…

Hello, I had not much luck with the picture hosters I tried. I'm looking for a simple hoster with no advertisement and marketing staff. If you click on the picture you should get a bigger picture and with another click you should get fullscreen picture (1920 x 1180). I've looked in a lot of threads in this AvSim screenshot forum and "investigated" for a good hoster. I tried the ones I liked, but I get other results than the other users. I don't have much experience in this theme. Sorry for my bad Englisch, it's not my mother tongue.

Ant's fine payware drifter Microlight from Justflight, which replaces the old FSX Trike if you do not mind cruising at a 2000 ft. AGL and at 70 knots to enjoy the scenery of the valley I grew up in, or your own place of growing up or dream vacation spot. Ant's drifter even has an autopilot and fair flight computer, though I prefer just dead reckoning and setting the heading hold and alt hold. John

There is something majestic about taking off from SFO to LAX, two big urban areas, but completely different vibes, with LA being the center of show business and SF (Courtesy the old bands like Jefferson Starship, Pablo Cruise, The Doobie Brothers, Journey, and Norton Buffalo) was the center of classic rock. I used to live in the Napa Valley, north of SFO, and when I was traveling on my vacations or working as a road warrior, I flew in and out of that airport about 100 times. Then I moved to Phoenix, still a road warrior, and have flown Phoenix almost as much, but not quite. No other airports compare in my activity in them, although there are scattered airports in Europ…

What I like about Xplane11 over other sims is its ability to model low and slow, or the Space Shuttle high over the earth. Went for low and slow again near the AZ Cardinals arena... John

Following on from my previous post, we're approaching Europe from the Middle East on our way to Barcelona. Still AI sightseeing, a rattle of Bulgarian Air Charter MD80s (I don't know what the collective noun for MD80s is). Out over the Med now A Siberian A321 making it's way to Barcelona just to the north of us. A sureal out-of-body under wing view of the French coast Being vectored out over the sea for the ILS to 25R, look at that lovely long beach... As ever in BCN, they've kept us high and now demanding speed and alt restrictions that are right on the limits of the aircraft. I'm doing my best here with the speedbra…

Now to the meat of it, the ageing A340, not many left, certainly not the pride of many fleets but solid workhorses. The latest A340, the 600, reached airlines (Virgin Atlantic being the first) in the early naughties (2002) as an enlarged A340-300. About 10 years behind the 300 and 200 series, it offered about 50 more seats (dependant on airline fit of course) but over 100t increase in MTOW. It provided airlines with similar passenger capacity to the 747 Classics but with about 25% more cargo volume. There were 2 versions of the 600, 642 and 643, the latter of the two being the HGW (High Gross Weight) version. Initial reactions to the aircraft weren't as great as…
