The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I decided to take the lovely 310 up for a flight where I depart FHR and "slowly" make my way towards Skagit KBVS. The scenery you see here is all freeware. It's primarily HD Mesh v4. The clouds/skies are a mod but free (honestly can't remember what I run these days ha). The 310 is indeed payware from Milviz and includes the always excellent Reality XP GTN 750 and 650. This is also likely one of my LAST screenshot posts as I'll be transferring (finally) to a different city and we'll be in temp housing for quite some time (without my pc). I will continue to monitor this forum and probably post a little too... Also feel free to continue to PM and or email me to keep i…

I have to say the autogen overlay over the photoreal looks spot on, Xplane did a good job in mapping landclass to land with its urban, desert, farm, industrial and city center areas etc... It adds immersion, makes you feel like you are really leaving somewhere... John

I finished my photo scenery of Arizona with a bit of Nevada included (so I could fly from Vegas to Phoenix). I do not have as much photo scenery in Xplane11 as I do in P3DV4 but I wanted to have my home state of Arizona completely covered, which I have. Arizona from the flight levels or from a general aviation VFR flight has mystical landscapes and land formations to look at, deserts and forests, canyons and lakes, and little cities popping up here and there. I had wished to try the SibWings AN-2 simulation (as I recall - it was excellent and highly authentic), but apparently during the years of my hiatus from SIM, SibWings has ceased existence. So, I recently picked up, on SALE, the Aerosoft version of the AN-2 (by Alexander Metzger, who had also created AS's Wilga, an equally good SIM, for which I had posted a VFR flight earlier). This AN-2 aircraft has been well-tested in the forums, but I just wished to share a bit of my enjoyment in taking it into the air for the first time (with engines ready-to-go). It's a learning SIM, for sure, that would require a lot of dedication. AN-2 is truly a classic utility aircraft (remi…

I like to fly around the Alps, especially with good photoscenery this is a blast. I also tried my hand on the new ATC system in 11.30 beta, and I must say it is an improvement (but still lacking, especially VFR): Taking off from Nice, nice skyline: Looking down to Monaco: Cruising: I am not alone, I will be redirected: Coming in for final: I feel small:

What a beautiful aircraft, downloadable for free here. Quite true to life, having seen the Navion at the Copper State Airshow in Arizona. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/48223-vflyteair-ryan-navion-205-vintage-freeware/ John

Sky Sim MD11 in P3D V4 getting ready to depart to Le Bourget from Virtualcol's Bogota for an Air Hauler cargo flight dropping some cargo at Paris, then continuing on to the UK. Flew well to the South East before crossing the South Atlantic heading over to North Africa in order to pick up some favourable winds and avoid thunderstorm activity in the mid Atlantic. With all that cargo and fuel on board, I needed every inch of that runway and it was a struggle to make it up to the cruise alt of 39,000 feet lol.

This is a follow on from my original post Excuse me.... These night shots have been enhanced a little or else they'd just be black, depending on which monitor I use to look at them they are at different shades of brightness. After the departing Dash8 line up and wait 1C Ready to go... Hopefully these aren't too dark, that is some Orbx North America LC scenery out of the window. More passenger views.... Argghhhhh! Stop posting night time passenger pics, nobody's interested anymore!... ... but they're so beautiful....... OK, here's a picture of a United 777 and the moon. A few Air Canada Bee…

While on my lengthy Etihad Dreamliner flight from KIAD to OMAA my route took me overhead London. Shorlty after departure I went to bed as a) it was dark and there was nothing to see and b) it was late. When I woke up in the morning we were approaching Ireland and the sun was rising. First up was an El Al jumbo on it's way from the US to Tel Aviv It Smeeeeee! La Compagnie 757, not many of these about, probably returning from the East Coast to Paris Definitely over Ireland now... Wow, don't know whether this is a glitch in my AI setup or those guys over at the MilitaryAIWorks have done an amazing job with the C17 plans. Either way, a …

Hi, some pictures from a journey Leipzig EDDP to Tbilisi UGTB via Istanbul-Atatürk LTBA. I followed the route I flew four weeks ago in real world, with exception that I started at Berlin-Tegel then. But from the Polish/Czech border on the route should be quite the same. Taxiing at Leipzig... Still an Interflug plane! That is where I live: A sharp turn over Dresden. In fact, my house is situated where the rear end of the plane points to. Climbing above the Ore mountains, situated at the German-Czech border Night falls above Romania Approaching to Istanbul-Atatürk. As you surely know, this airport will be…

Hi all Many of you probably have probably used LittleNavMap for a long time. I mistakenly thought it was more of a VFR software, and being used to another flightplan and flight preparation website, I only installed LNM for flight tracking. But lately, I had many issues between my online generated flightplans and importing them into the CRJ, because of AIRAC mismatch. So I decided to take the jump, and plan my IFR flight from scratch with LNM. And boy, was I amazed by the result. Find a route with one click, choose your SID, STAR, approach with two clicks, generate your P3D flightplan, etc. Here is my flight from Moncton (CYQM) and St Johns (CYYT). The …

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Israeli air force had been invited to participate in annual Red Flag Operation exercises held in Alaska so the country decided to send its 707 refuel tankers to participate in Red Flag Operation flying from Tel Aviv via England for refueling to KPSM Portsmouth International Airport one nautical mile west of the central business district of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States on way to Alaska Why KPSM Portsmouth International Airport? That is because that is where many KC-135s of USAF are based and it is ideal place not only for refueling but also for any possible spare part replacements or repairs if needed. Nice s…

The A340 I'd been flying the Flight1 ATR (in FSX:SE) and the Majestic Q400 (in P3Dv4) around the Greek Islands, the Azores and finally the Canary Islands, and I was looking forward to flying something a bit meatier. I'm usually a tubeliner sort of guy and planned these turboprop flights when there was a sale on at Majestic and I'd just ported the ATR over to FSX. I'd thoroughly enjoyed myself but wanted to go back to long haul. I had been to all the Canary Islands and I was doing a sector to Casablanca GMMN, it was to be my gateway to long haul. So, I was parked up at Gran Canaria Airport loading people and fuel when I saw a Volga-Dnepr An124 and I thought …
