The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Because whenever I use XP11 I get reminded that this is what they get treated to all day, everyday.... (but we got dibs on seasonal textures though) Jokes aside, XP11 is a fantastic simulator platform, and IXEG 737CL is always a treat to fly. And we are lucky to have X-Plane and P3D both flourishing, with new features unveiled on a regular basis.

Again, the ability to lay autogen on the photoreal adds to added depth and sensation of speed, even in an Ultralight doing 50 knots. John

There aren't many really good business jets available for the P3Dv4 platform, thankfully Flysimware decided to develop the Dassault Falcon 50, which is now in late Beta and available for purchase. I decided to take the Falcon 50 on a short trip into Northern Alaska, and ended up flying a bad weather approach in PATK. FS Global Real Weather did a great job at providing accurate and immersive weather, from winds aloft right down to the low visibility approach. I cannot recommend this fine aircraft enough! Flysimware have delivered a really solid aircraft with in-depth system functionality, and this, coupled with an option to add the Reality XP GTN 750 as an integr…

Being that it is a beta release, I've been evaluating the Flysimware Falcon 50 for a few days to ensure it was a suitable aircraft for my Air Hauler fleet to run transatlantic and European air taxi charter flights. Having determined that it is good enough for the job and that it works okay, I 'bought one' for the fleet at a cost of 5.5 million bucks and picked it up from Le Bourget's Dassault facility to do the type rating, then flew it to Porto in Portugal to run an inaugural a nine-passenger from there to Melilla in North Africa. From there it flew to my facility at Liverpool, where it will be based and maintained alongside the other business jets in my fleet which incl…

This sixth and final leg of my journey brings me back to where it all started: Gibraltar. We depart from our last stop Decimomannu on Sardinia, Italy and fly north via Corsica, France to the Ligurian coast of Italy and the large port city Genoa. From there we head west to reach the French Riviera. Over Marseille, we turn south towards the Spanish Balearic Islands, before we finally reach again Gibraltar. Over Porto Cervo at the north-eastern corner of Sardinia. Created by Prince Karim Aga Khan and various other investors in the 1950s, Porto Cervo has developed into the main center of Sardinia’s "Costa Smeralda". It has a resident population of just 421 …

Flying the wonderful route out of Bishop in the wonderful and classic Cessna 421, a nice little airliner that can fly in the flight levels. John

Fantastic light at FL370 in the FF752 in my VA Cargo livery. As much as I enjoy P3D it can't match XP's tonal subtleties.

Today, I felt like taking the CS B737-200 out on a flight, for only the 2nd time after its re-install on my FSX-SE. For this flight, I also wished to do a step-by-step cold & dark start-up, unlike the previous flight with it. This procedure went without any hiccups. This particular 737 SIM, through the years, has remained one of my favorites (along with the MilViz 737 that came later). This CS 737 model here, is the original Boeing 737-200 variant (not the -200 Advanced). It does not have FMC, nor is it capable of being integrated with any FW CIVA INS due to some inherent peculiarities of the CS version. So, the en-route navigation is manual and by means of VOR/ADF et…

The PMDG MD-11F in the full glory of Ultra-High resolution 4096 x 4098 textures. Global Africa Cargo livery by Corina Meyer. Click here for full resolution image or copy this link into your browser: https://i.imgur.com/GgX86xR.jpg The amazing bit is that this is FS2004! While pottering around with some repaints I found that I can get FS2004 to display HD 2048 x 2048 pixel and UHD 4096 x 4096 pixel resolution textures, which was definitely a surprise to me since it is widely assumed that there is a hard barrier in FS9 at 1024 x 1024 resolution. In fact, I also managed to insert HD 2048 runway and taxiway textures to my sim. For close-ups, comparisons b…

Hi, you wonder about the topic's title? Well, I tested a rather unusual approach to Mestia, Svaneti, Georgia, that has the shape of an Eight "8". It was shown at this video (extreme time lapse) and is rather unusual, as the approach is usually flown not above Mestia town, but behind the mountain ridge south of it. However, I wanted to test it, and I choose the Aeroprakt A-22 Ultralight plane (thank god it made it over the almost 10,000 ft high Svaneti range). Take off at Telavi: Gaining height above the Alazani Valley, in Eastern Georgia Hours later, after crossing Tbilisi and most of Georgia, the Western Caucasus (co…

I was looking at the Bargain Hunter's Shack today for the Black Friday deals and decided to pick up (at 50% SALE) the Drzewiecki EPWA (Chopin) - to gain a SIM foothold in Poland for my intra-EU airliner flights. I also wished to install (from my own archive) the Wilco A380 and give it a try because I have not touched it in > 4 years. Here are a few sample shots of EPWA and the Virgin Atlantic A380 livery, along with some additional pictures of the plane taking off and landing at this airport. Thanks for viewing....And, Happy Thanksgiving to the folks in the U.S. and equivalent greetings to the others!
