The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

We depart from Dunedin on the east coast and head south until we reach the southern tip of the island. From there we fly north-west towards Queenstown and then it’s on to Mount Cook. The plane is the freeware Restauravia Fouga Magister. This flight was done in the new P3D v4.4 and as before all weather has been switched off for more clarity Parked at Dunedin Intern. By now we have reached the southern part and are here over the Awarua Bay and Tiwai Point with Stewart Island in the distance On the west coast near Resolution Island. Here it becomes obvious that this freeware has a few watermasking issues. But I’m not really complaini…

French Alps, near Grenoble, France Grenoble, France Relaxing on the lake after the tour: I finally downloaded A Sky Stories Alps photoreal sceneries, and it really makes a difference compared to own brewed Ortho4XP, the colour corrections are spot on, and also the clouds have been removed. Together with xEurope and some airports from XPFR to fill the gap, it can pass for payware quality. Highly recommended.

A few weeks ago, I found out that the website that publishes European photoscenery for free, now has also all of New Zealand on offer (also for free). I have downloaded all 16 files (size: 1 GB each), combined them to a single folder and installed them in my sim. They can be used for FSX, FSX-SE and all versions of P3D. I have stored all my photoscenery on an external 5 TB hard drive (standard HDD, no SSD). Within the flightsimulator, the scenery sits on top of my ORBX entries. The files come with their own autogen and in case you have ORBX NZNI and NZSI installed on your system, all ORBX airports plus all POI will show up. Next to ORBX, I have also installed payware…

Nice views of Mt. Shasta, enroute to San Francisco. Had a chance to fly on the Shorts from O'Hare to Springfield IL. It is a wonderful aircraft with big windows and a low cruising altitude to enjoy the scenery. John

I probably could have just flown to Bangkok to do this Qatar A346 flight to Doha but I saw Etihad sends a B789 to Brisbane from Abu Dhabi. Seeing as I'm going there for Christmas I thought I'd give it a go. So here's the plan for ETD484, using the route from FlightAware it was easy to plot 140min ETOPS circles. At the gate in OMAA, shiny new (closed) terminal in the background. Here we are lining up for take off. After flying through the night (it was dark and there wasn't much to see) the sun rose and we were still over the sea (with still very little to see), however, after many hours, we found Australia and started making our way over…

I had wished to get the Milviz PA-30 Twin Comanche, but their SALE clock ran out on me. However, I was happy to be able to pick it up today from the JF website's (continued) MilViz products discount. This Piper Twin is a likable (also capable and fast - with service ceiling 20k) aircraft that competed with Cessna 310 and Beech Baron. The aircraft, however, is noted to have initially suffered a string of accidents (its first flight was in 1962) involving loss-of-control in single-engine flight (causes been attributed to both engine-design or/and pilot training). Piper then modified the plane's single-engine behavior which later resulted in the PA-39 version with counter-ro…

We depart from the famous Red Bull “Hangar 7” in Salzburg, which does not only house some perfectly restored vintage planes, but also an excellent restaurant The scenery is from Austria Professional and the plane is the superb Ultralight Mitchell Wing U2, which is available free from the Aerosoft website: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/55526-get-your-free-mitchell-wing-v101-here/ Thanks for viewing

For the past 14 years or so....since I was 15 years old. I always do domestic flight around Europe and then do a long haul flight back to the states on Thanksgiving day. I usually do a lot of Europe flights up until new years day. It started out as a random thing to do because it seemed so new and fresh. (I usually only stay in the states when doing domestic flights). It ended up turning into a tradition of mine. The first flight to start the over the pond season was a flight from Frankfurt to Madrid. I then took a 747 from Madrid to San Francisco. Here are some screenshots of both flights.
