The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Still playing around in the N/W UAE, both paints have a buddy paint just so you have a wing man if using inflight AI/wingman software, plus with the Twotter its in both configs, cargo and passenger Plain boxes are boring when doing freight, so i spiced a few things up with cargo in addition, the prop textures have been revised to remove the less opaque stock textures And who doesnt like flying gunships in pairs If anyone knows of a Al Minhad Air Base (OMDM) scenery addon other than a AFCAD please let me know

This particular Junkers Ju 52 has a very interesting history. She started life as D-AQUI for Lufthansa in April 1936. After only three months, she was transferred/loaned to Norway’s Det Norske Luftfartselskap airline, to replace a Norwegian Ju 52, that had suffered badly from a crash landing. In 1957 she was sold to Ecuador, where she was used for passenger and freight service until 1962. Due to spare parts problems for the still original (!) BMW engines, she was then parked after 26 years of service at an airport near Quito. There she was detected in 1969 by an American airplane enthusiast Lester F. Weaver from Polo, Illinois. He spent the next six months to bring …

As conclusion to my earlier post, on Austrian Airlines, please find, below, a collection of images, of Austrian B777-200ER (GE), "Heart of Europe", captured, from its mid-flight (FL160) cruise, to landing in Munich/EDDM. These pictures are taken from a complete (LOWW->EDDM) flight, which, though, spans a short distance of just under 220 flight miles (~190 nms)...didn't know it would be that short, but, it suited me well...🙂.... And, as I'd indicated in my Part I, this, flight, here, symbolizes the very first (Junkers-13) flight of the (parent) Austrian Airways, between the two same airports, back, on May 14, 1923, nearly a century ago... Per Wiki, "The landing (then) t…

Just off KPDX Portland, Oregon. Have the sky to myself as I head east toward the Washington Tri-Cities area and KPSC to rendezvous with friends. Cruising level at 7,000 feet the early morning sun and haze combine to add definition to the Columbia River Gorge. Click on images for enlarged viewing.

MSFS and WU6 is great of course, but I must say my old favortites, Aerobask DA-62 and ORBX Innsbruck still give a lot of pleasure. The aircraft and scenery are pretty outstanding.

I was doing with a friend a leisure flight around Shelter Island, northwest of Juneau… …when we spotted this. Wow, she is huge That must be the Tirpitz I’ll ask the captain to bring me back to Juneau airport. Let’s see how close we can get to it If nothing works out, I can hopefully use their on-board Arado plane It’s going to be tight and from the looks of it, we have some nasty currents here Ok, that’s as far as we can get without running the ship aground Let’s back up and turn her around slowly and head south i…

Here is a (disjointed) mix of 4 (interesting) planes I spotted among the freeware uploads today... [1 pic] - The Cessna T-41 Mescalero is a military version of the popular Cessna 172 that was fitted with a larger engine and variable pitch propeller. It is used by USAF/Army as well as the armed forces of various other countries as a pilot training aircraft. [1 pic] - The A350-1000 is the largest variant of the A350 family. For A350 XWB (Extra Wide Body), Airbus switched to a clean-sheet design (rather than a derivative of A330). It is (solely) powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbofan engines. [4 pics] - Messerschmitt (P.1075/P.1085) were secret designs …

[Years ago, in my younger...days...🙂..., I could do (very) long road trips rather casually...now they are not so easy...especially with the added challenges of the current circumstances. After recently (and safely) completing the ~2,300 miles round-trip (roadway) visit, to Chicago and, back,...for a bit of curiosity and fun, I was today pondering...so, I inquired, "Distance from New York to Greenland", and my internet friend (promptly) answered 2,394 miles, showing me a direct route, on the Global MAP, from New York to (somewhere in) central Greenland. More practically, though, the distance from New York to Kangerlussuaq (Greenland's largest and busiest airport, on its we…

  24. Enjoying the agricultural patchwork @ 10,000 ft. above Colby, Kansas, enroute from Kansas City to Denver. A big thank you to Bert P. for mentioning the Robt Young Turbo Bonanza in a post a day or two ago. I had not flown it since perhaps this past March. Pulled it out of the hangar, serviced it, and had a great flight!
