The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I wished, today, to fly a nice (new) repaint, recently posted here, of the Cessna 185F Amphibian in the color of Australian Volunteer Coast Guard. And, the C185 Skywagon has been always one of my favorite aircraft. The C185 (see the nostalgic "185" print, in one of the shots, on the Yoke column), was a more "muscular" version of the (previously) popular C180 (with strengthened fuselage and a higher hp Continental engine). The C180 had flown first in 1952, and the C185 flew 8 years later, in 1960. Both models were manufactured in thousands, and were/are extremely well recognized (and widely used) for bush flying operations e.g. in Canada and Alaska. For locale, I'm re…

A few of my Spitfire hits and misses.... My red racing Spit with contra rotating prop, fast but easy to damage. and I blew the engine... Gliding back to ove land to put down. This is my WWII Mark2b, which has given me more than my far share of takeoff and landing crashes while learnng to handle it. Quite hard to take off and land, a plane that takes some getting used to. Just made the runway. Nice flying Negative G's (yes the engine cuts out...) And looping back to pulling positive G's, just coming back from the blackout point. Cheers

This post is motivated by a few recent comments and sightings of Austrian a/c (e.g. Dash 8 and DC9/MD80), recently shared in this Forum posts. And, as far back as I can remember, since the earliest days of my aviation interest, the Austrian Airlines' characteristic red (chevron) arrow logo (both the the older design, see MD-80 shots, below, or the newer one, see Dash 8 shots, below) have always stood out for me. Also, a while ago I'd made a post about Swiss Air Lines...an airline for which its historic (past) Swissair's loyalty to Douglas and McDonnell Douglas a/c is legendary. Consider this: Swissair had deployed nearly all (commercial) Douglas variants (DC-2/3/4/6/…

I couldn´t resist the Aerosoft 30 year anniversary XP11 sale and got me the Aerosoft Challenger 300 - for XP10! 😀 When I fired up XP 11 the expected error message popped up, telling me there was a problem with the XP 10 FMC. Fortunately, there is a XP 11 patch for this lovely aircraft at the x-plane.org site, switching the built in FMC for the default XP 11 one. Now my newest toy works as expected 😁
