The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Repaints have started to come through .to for the subject aircraft. This one, by kcgb, [he also has a Mt Cook variant available], shows the PC6 on an AP flight out of Dunedin, headed for Queenstown. The aircraft is a delight to fly. I'm looking forward to the tundra tires & floats. T45 (MSFS)

Since @fppilot likes context with the pics (I do as well, but get lazy like we all do, hehe). This is the magnificent PMDG DC-6, in a livery I happened to paint. 🙂 The title of the post should be quite obvious by now, LOL. I am currently flying her in a lazy trip across the USA....started at my home base of KDFW, headed generally west and a few legs later, just finished a beautiful dawn flight from Missoula (KMSO) to Bozeman (KBZN) As I was panning around her, trying to capture a shot that exemplified the mood, this taxi light pole got in the way. Just as I was about to move the camera in past it...thinking it was ruining the shot, I thought it may…

Enjoy this mid morning flight from South St. Paul, MN to Wells, MN (KSGS via AEL then 68Y). The Mooney makes short work of the 100-ish mile journey. I do like Minnesota - it's got a little of everything. I've labeled airports as I pass by (and my house). I used to work at KFCM. route by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr (you gotta make an early turnout at Flemming (SGS) otherwise you'll need to call STP tower for a transition) Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr downwind dep to south Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Staying out of the Bravo (no flight following on this route today) Untitled-4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flic…

  16. The plane is the long-range strategic bomber and reconnaissance/maritime patrol aircraft Me 264, developed during WWII for long distance flights of up to 15,000 km (9.300 miles). Two prototypes were built and later destroyed during allied bomb runs. After that, the project was abandoned, as Messerschmitt was asked to concentrate instead on the further development of the Me 262 fighter jet. This is the FSX model by Thomas Ruth, ported over to MSFS. I also upgraded the VC. We have finally reached Italian airspace and fly here along beautiful Lake Como …

  23. This week, while, searching for a certain repaint for my Cessna 185 (please see my previous post), I came across several variations of Ansett (Avro) RJ100 livery repaints (by the same repainter...). And, from a separate consideration, there are a select few a/c in our SIM, that, no matter, how long ago, one might have come to know about, for the first time, just that one sighting is sufficient to never forget about it. The BAe-146/Avro-RJ quadjet is such an example. From an aviation enthusiast's perspective, it's indeed an unforgettable plane, and, one, which has always stood out for me, ever since I'd spotted it (only in pictures) for the first time....(decades before t…
