Dear friends, I like to make my simulaion world more realistic. I have a projector and I am planning to buy an 22" wide screen monitor. My plan is to use the monitor for the panel and the projector for the ouside cockpit view. I am only flying in 2-D mode. Has anyone a good idea to realize this setup? Does anyone has comment on this setup? Maybe it is not a good idea so please let me know.Best RegardsKim

Hi!I am working on a small simpit project and I am currently focusing on the throttle. For this I need to find some good handles that are similar to the images attached. Worst case, I may try to use rubber door stoppers, but I would really like to find something better. I will most likely put a push button on the right throttle, to control the air brake.Does anyone have any ideas, where I can find something similar? Thanks!

Hey guys,I need some serious help. I have a client who actually runs a virtual flight center in Southern California. He's been having some serious issues with his flight sim software (Eagle Sim) and wants to upgrade to something that is more commercially available.Currently, he's using some Win2k PC's, but the systems get bogged down and the graphics suffer. He has full sim cockpits, with Heads up and Heads down displays. Do you know of any flight sims that will support the HUD and HDD on separate monitors? Also, which flight sim would you recommend for doing modern combat sims, using the hardware listed below:Hotas flight stick and Cougar Throttle. Quite a few of th…

Good Morning all.I have purchased the FSBUSNG boards from Rob Van Dijk and I'm about to start drilling and assembling. I have a retired Cessna 310L cockpit which I'm going to use.First-about the drilling. As the bits are so small they can't fit into a standard drill press and a smaller chuck is mounted in that. The problem is, that the small chuck is not straight (New). As a result the drill bits wander and I'm breaking them. I was thinking of using .6mm bits with a 3.2mm shank,as used in dremels and others. Does anyone know of any connections/links for suppliers of same. Australia suppier is preferred, but there is a supplier in england on EBAY if I have to. Any …

Hi,Version 1.8 of my free LEKSEECON program now also supports Level-D's COMM2 radio. It's great to have voice ATIS at COMM2 while the ATC controller is at COMM1!I have also written example SIOC files to build COMM1 and/or COMM2 radio's. There are several implementations possible: two dual rotaries, one single rotarie and one single rotarie with push button. There is even a version that supports as well COMM1 as COMM2 with the same hardware and a COMM1/COMM2 selector switch, also in three variants: two dual rotaries, one dual rotarie and one single rotarie with push button.Have Fun!Nicohttp://www.nicokaan.nl

The site has not been updated since last spring, but I did not stop working on it. So many photos should be add soon...Alhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/178715.jpg

Hello.I have noticed, that any PC mouse have at least 1 pair of UV-LED and a coupled phototransistor. If you also add a plastic wheel, you'll get a thing similar to optical encoder (like Grayhill's).There is a possibility to connect Grayhill encoders to FSBUG (with extra hardware). So, I think there must be a possibility to connect self-made optical encoders from old or dead PC mice too.The problem is that phototransistors in Grayhill encoders have common cathode (or common -, or common emitter), but phototransistors from mouse have common anode (or common +, or common collector) - see pic in attachment. As I'm not specialist in this area, I want to ask for advice. Could a…
