Hi Mike, I understand on your webpage explain how we could build own aircore instead of buying expensive from commerical and I believe it's very easy to make . Now I wonder do you happen to have any circuit diagram or theories in order for me to create circuit to get it working? Let me know if you could share out with me. Thanks

Help. I've hacked an old keyboard to use as my input device (push button -> keyboard emulator -> plugged into back of PC). It works great. Now I'm working on installing all the buttons and asigning them a keystroke ... BUT I learned that MSFS2k2 is somewhat limited in its available settings.I'm wondering if there's a way to add additional keystroke commands, such as one for turning on the TAXI light (in a Cessna 172), or one for turning on the NAV lights separate from any other light? In the Cessna172, for example, there's a switch on the main panel view that allows you to toggle on/off the taxi light, but this command doesn't exist in the main menu of control set…

Hi,i'm looking for rotary encoders with 2 axes, to control (with 2 in 1)two different values, but with one double knob.I.E with a double axes rotary encoder, i could handle the Nav1 Stby freq. One axis for increase/decrease decimal values and the other the 100s (VOR1 114.40 or, COM1 129.80 etc) Do you know where can i find them in the market? I prefer mechanical rotary encoders, as the optical are more expensive.ThanksEddie

Greetings all,I stumbled upon a product the other day "NEON Maxx Black Light Accent Paint" at pctoys.com.Its' description reads as this... "Neon Maxx Light accent paint gives a cool added glow when used with a Black (U/V) Cold Cathode or Neon light. The amazing thing about Neon Maxx is that it's completely invisible until the Black light is turn on. It's the only transparent blacklight paint that is water washable and comes off with Windex."The idea is to use this as a light diffuser by applying it to the plexiglass underpanels. By using cold cathode uv tubes (another case modder product) for a light source I would expect some very luminous results !I am ordering the pain…

Hi everyone,I've bought a 5.4" LCD screen from Thrustmaster wich was a Game Cube accessory but wich has also an AV input. So thanks to my old Geforce 1 wich has a TV output I was able to feed this screen with Project Magenta Boeing CDU. The qality of the image is good. On the images you can see some bubbles on the screen : this is due to the plastic sheet that covers it and that I didn't remove in order to protect it.The quality of the image could be much better with a VGA TFT screen but considering its price ( 300 Euros at least ) I am satisfied at that time with my solution ( only 60 Euros ).

Having had a fascination with flight simulators ever since I first played with a simple simulator on a Sinclair ZX81, I have always wanted to go that extra step to realism (You do get utterly hooked on realism over time, especially if you have flown for real!!!!)With the latest incarnation of MS Fight simulator, you can get pretty close (barring the odd glitch!) You can now run multiple screens on a pc, ie have 2 for outside views, and 2 for instrument views. Using part of the MSFS SDK you can use netpipes.exe and run multiple pcs per flight in real time across a LAN, or use wideview or similar, and hence have more than 4 monitors hooked up to give a very real view inside…

Just curious cuz I haven't been able to use mine yet.Are there any cockpits running with the LPTswitch succesfully ??Are there any who started with it and gave up for some reason ??Should I start on the software for the "LPTswitch Reloaded" version ?? (v2.0)This time I'll try to get you loaded with "error popup messages" which say what is wrong instead of the "runtime error".Anyway, I can tell you now for sure .. if you get a runtime .. it is that YOU are doing something wrong .. not my program ;o)Let me know !! I'm curious !!Cheers,Philippe

Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to mechanically link 2 yokes together ? I will be using two CH yokes...captain has pots in and the co-pilot is purely dummy version with no pots in.What I want is for the co-pilot to be able to push/pull/turn and have that push/pull/turn the captains which has the pots. I am scratching my head trying to figure this out !!Any suggestions would be helpful ? Thanks a bunch...JB

Hey guys, I have noticed a lot of sim builders using Hagstrom units just to handle the 12 function keys on the CDU. I spoke with Enrico Schiratti to see if he could make the buttons programmable, and he had a new build within the week! This new build makes use of ASCII codes, meaning you can map virtually ANY key on the keyboard to control the functions on the CDU. This means you can map keys like "Home", "End" and even the Shift, Ctrl, and Alt keys. If you have extra function buttons on your keyboard, you can map those too. Just make sure they don't control anything on your system (like hybernate). To program keys do the following: 1. Start the CDU 2. Click "IN…

Need some ideas on why I can't login to a network.I have a WinME computer that I want to add to my MAGENTA network. It will run PM A320 MCDU and HCSDT A320 OHL.For reasons I can't determine, I can't login to the network. When I start the computer I get the Login in window. The computer name is Mcdu. I leave the password empty and click OK.System boots but I never get the LOG OFF area when I click on Start. I see Run, Help, and Search but no Log Off.I think that is why when I select Explorer and click on My Network Places, Entire Network, I never can see the MAGENTA workgroup or the other computers.Things I had done but have not fixed the problem:- Made sure others co…

Anyone, I just got all of switch knobs from aircraft bone yard, but there weren't enough of them. But until then, the ideas that I have just popped up by having them molding it. If I could remember, All I do is create a cardboard box and pour molding in half then apply switch in it, then again pour molding to fill it up. As soon as it get dried up I would tear up card board box and cut the dried mold in half so it could have similar shape as the knob. then drill the hole in middle of it so I could pour in fiberglass or some kind of plastic-like into it and let it dry up for couple of mintues and open up the modling-box and it would have similar shape as the original kn…
