I had an unopened copy of Fly! II and decided to install it on my new mac G5 (and installed the patch posted on line).It says there is supposed to be an aircraft "kodiak" (Piper Navajo) included, but it does not come up as an available aircraft nor do I find it in the "aircraft" folder.Is there I way I can locate or download this missing .POD file?

From one thread on AVSIM, it began... F2FDesign Group and our friends, the French design group, ROTW - are pleased to announce an agreement to work together on a joint effort for the enjoyment of the Fly! Community. We share the same goals - that of providing quality Freeware aircraft for Terminal Reality, Inc.'s Fly! II. From the above mentioned thread, a search was conducted to locate the design members for the Fly! II versions of the Gates Learjet and Piper Seneca V. Been really really busy lately and haven't been around much so...not knowing when I'll have time to finish it up I uploaded a beta version of the Katana a bit ago. There is nothing that keeps it from flying, side views still need some work, a few of the engine gauges need finished, the console view needs animated, the DG cannot be set manually right now but does work and a few other things. So enjoy it where it is now and soon as I can I'll finish it up.

The new ROTW aircraft (from Gilles & Fred) is available on SIMVOL !

go get it, enjoy it, and let me know if anything is wrong. And remember, all the work is not finished. This will give a great regional airliner to have fun with.tony

Don't forget that the decision to upload a beta2 version was made with some fear that some of the qualities not yet implemented or tested in this model would become distractions for me. I am working on a beta 3. There's a sound bug( propeller slows down during the accelleration phase) and a weight distribution anomaly( notice the nosewheel), so these items are first on my list. But keep in mind that this is an incomplete model, and as such, there are many untested parts. Despite this, the reason to upload it was due to the fact that the plane behaves very nices and can provide a lot of fun while beta 3 is in the works. I have been a long time user of the whole Fly series so this is not a new user question. Recently my hard drive decided it had had enough and decided to end its long time relationship with me so I threw it out and found me a bigger and faster hard drive. Of course this newer drive demanded a completely new install of the OS to which I reluctantly agreed and in the long run I believe it was the correct thing to do. Everything was going along swimmingly until I tried to install Fly! II. For some reason the installer crashes out on me. It looks like the first part starts up fine but as soon as I flip the install toggle switch it jumps to the desk top and does nothing. If I b…

Hisince my upgrade to DX9 I sometimes get those grey stripes in the air. They are not everywhere and only in some directions.This screenshot is taken overhead LOIJ.They are not graphics card related. I had them with my old MX400 and i have them with my new FX5900.I tried every display setting and different changes in the FLY.INI and RENDER.INI without effect.any ideas ?ThanksHarald

Hi guys :-wave Could someone inform me how I removed default models from Fly2.For example, Big Ben and the houses of Parliament, oh and the Palace.I have resized Big Ben to its correct hight of 316 ft and placed it were it should be. Tomorrow Im doing the parliament buildings and the Palace. But sadly the old models are still there. Good news. It's rare that one pods a work in progress, and on the first try things work very nicely. Tony, I was following your great tutorial on FLY2 default FMS and flight planner and I ran into a small snag. The waypoint "ARNES" is in my waypoint database, but not "SUPAI" nor the other two shown on the Paradise Four Arrival STAR chart, ("MITTS" & "IRESE"). I believe I have all the available updates to the stock FLY2 waypoint.pod but I obviously must be overlooking something.Can you or anyone inform me where to find additional waypoint data which would be complete or at least contain the above referenced waypoints?Thanks, Robert

First, I am an ex-FLY!er. I am currently helping Chris Wright (UK) develop a program to correct the horrible road and waterway placements in FS2004.The program takes the Terrascene TGA file and uses it to properly "draw" elements in FS2004. Does this by setting shorelines and roadways to single pixel width, single color so the new program can pick them out.The problem I am having is that some areas show double shorelines. The "other shoreline" does not exactly follow so it creates a real mess. I am using 1/4 tiles and adjacent 1/4 tiles work just fine. Have forced new DLG/USGS file download but no help. This particular tile (168/164/NE) has the doubling problem in only th…
