I just bought fly!2, :) and I tried starting it up and it gives me a message saying I did not allocate any 1024x1024 8888 textures in render.ini. I read the FAQ and it said to add the line, 64=4 and It did not cure the problem. Thanks.Grant

Hello all:I downloaded the ykz.zip file from the library along with CanDex.exe as instructed. Upon trying to teleport to CYKZ, I received the following error message:C3D Model load: Can't open DYKZ0609.SMFFile: SMODEL.CPPLine 3701Where can I obtain the DYKZ0609.SMF file?Thanks in advance for any help!Curtis

Am I doing something wrong? In the cockpit, the sound is very "focused" to the left, so much so that it's not very pleasent to fly. I've tried the plane with the original panel and the revised panel.Exterior sounds appear fine, and I've verified that all engines are running.-DK----David KohlFly! Ok, I've just podded and correctly zipped my reworked America West 737-500. I relocated the aft doors a bit and textured as best I could, the main gear doors. My apologies to everyone who took the time and money to download the first unpodded version. In regards to the original unpodded file, anyone interested can take a look inside the ART folder and open up the AWOC7375.tif file to see what the tif map actually look's like. You can even use it as a basis for your own repaint.Look for ver. 2 of the America West 737-500 later tonight or tomorrow morning.Pete

Sorry,I messed up. You may be wondering what the heck I was doing when I uploaded all the unpodded America West files? I grabbed the wrong folder when I went to zip up the pod. I'll have to send the correct file tonight when I get home. Sorry for the inconvience.Pete

Just sent the America West Classic livery repaint of Giorgio Gnesda's Boeing 737-500 off to the AVSIM server. Shold be available for download Tuesday morning? This is best viewed with environmental mapping off.Pete

G'day all,The post of Franks has got me started working on modeling Aussie airports.When in the Fly! II program the runways and taxiways align perfectly but when I exit the program and start a project in Terramodels there is an offset between the runways and taxiways of anything up to 1000 ft or so. It's almost as if Fly! and Terramodels are looking at different databases. I have unpoded the taxiways pod to the Fly!IIdata folder.Anyone able to shed some light on what I'm doing wrong please.Cheers,Roger @YSSY

Just a thought on the future of fly, I have followed the recent threads but not, studied them all so if this has been suggested or dismissed then please forgive me.If a commercial developer is unlikely to pick up the baton to develop fly, then how about releasing the code as open source, being an avid supporter of Mr Stallman and his philosophy, this could secure a bright future for fly.There are a number of very talented users and companies developing products for fly, if the base product was free and open source third parties would be free to use this base to add and then sell value addons,Just an idea?

I'm part of the recently converted from Fly!2k (Mac) to Fly!II (PC) and have discovered some most excellent things in doing so, and am having a hard time figuring out some things and I am hoping someone out there would be kind enough to give assistance.First of all, I've read the post about the first-time flyers, etc. and fyi am patched to 230. I notice that my log book doesn't seem to work -- after each flight I have "n/a" across the board. Part of the fun, to me, was going through the flights I've flew and seeing which plane I used from point A to point B. Hello allI have problems with multiplayer in Fly! II. Hi,I am using Fly2 on windows 2000 and with a geforce2 mx400 graphics card but when I go to start it my system hangs and I have to Ctrl-Alt-delete out of fly2. This never happened under win98. When I eventually get back to the desktop, the desktop icons are HUGE and the desktop should fill about 4x the size of my monitors. I have checked that the resolution of the screen is the same as the resolution of Fly2 (If I ever get as far as getting to the start up screen!) Whats going on here folks?thanksric

I downloaded Myles' "citypacks" of the Seattle area. These sceneries are about a year old.I have used TerraScene to create more accurate ground textures for the Seattle area, and noted that a few of the models are now in the water.1 - Do you have any plans to update your Seattle models?2 - Since these appear to have been created directly from the Fly!2 Editor (file names are "XXXX.s01" for example), can they be edited and moved permanently.
