The FLY General Discussion Forum
The General Discussion forum for the TRI series of FLY Simulators.
| Richard Harvey Lake Tahoe September, 2002 | This forum and all others related to the FLY series of flight simulator, are dedicated to the memory of Richard Harvey - the lead designer for Terminal Reality's Fly.
At the AVSIM FANCON of 2002, Richard and his wife, Tara, attended. Richard was presented with AVSIM's Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the flight simulation genre and his outstanding service and support of the FS community. Richard was a friend to many of us, and never hesitated to assist and inspire. Richard passed away the following March, 2003. He is sorely missed by his friends and those that were privileged to know him.
Richard in his last post to the forums said; "Try to stay away from things that are dark, dreary, introspective, tear jerkers, etc. Think HAPPY -- be HAPPY. If that is too much to ask, then I'll change the word HAPPY to POSITIVE. That's the flow of feeling I want rolling through my soul as I depart this earth from each of you, is absolute POSITIVE energy. Don't stall on me, I have to soar!"
Richard also passed this along to us in his last post; "******* Christ is my Lord and Savior. As my loving God and Lord has protected and guided me throughout my life, I pray he will do likewise for you and your family. May each of you achieve your dreams, and not be troubled by hardships. I pray for your good health. God will only give you as much load as you can bear, and never any more. Do not lose hope, nor certainly faith. Above all, do not fear evil, for though it surrounds us it can never hurt us. It may claim hollow victories, but it always suffers defeat."
We are proud to carry on Richard's undaunted support for his passion and his unstinting support of the user. Welcome to the Richard Harvey Memorial Fly Forums! |

It would be nice to know how many people actually still visit the Fly! boards here at Avsim. If you are still a Fly! user, even if you enjoy multiple sims (as I do), please drop a reply here. You do not have to put any text in the message, just a reply. If you wish, you can add your hometown. It might be nice to know where everyone is from also.I have already counted the two most avid Fly! fans, Larry and Micheal J :-lol Cheers,Allen KriesmanDallas-Ft Worth, Texas USA

A tremendous thread in the Screenshot forum - way to go! How about someone starting a new one as the original is now too large for the soul on a dial-up. I've got some more shots to throw in, but most of them have the same aircraft in them because of a beta test. Someone got some variety with which to kick off a new thread?

I've finished the Air France repaint but my wife is telling me to stop for the night. All I have left to do is create the menu icon and pod. With my recent track record on podding it's probably a good idea to do this in the morning after a good nights sleep *:-* Pete

While you wait other planes, I give you this F16 repaint,if you like. This is a Default FlyII F16 remake. I change the size texture from 128x128 pixels to 1024x1024 pixels and like you can see it's detailed enough now.HugsGiorgio

Has anyone seen this before. If I load up the King Air and look out the front window, the graphics look very bad. If I change to an outside view they look like they should. This is the only plane this happens on. I have checked the file lib but didn't see any fixes. I'm using Fly!2 v.230 Any help would be great. I love flying that thing! Thanks.
