I cannot believe I've been flying this plane for over a year and never noticed this. There is no Prop control on the pedistal of the Pilatus, but the Prop subsystem operates just as the same system in all other fixed-pitch prop planes. I have the CH pedels and yoke and using the slider mapped to Prop (for planes such as the Aurora/Beechcraft B200) this slider controls the prop RPM's. It also controls the prop RPM's on the Pilatus, but I noticed today that no such "handle" exists on the pedestal.Is this an error in the graphic? Or an error in the way the subsystem is modeled? If the latter, what is the "proper" prop position I should use to most realistically fly the Pilat…

Ok, all, here's my storySo I just reformatted, installed fly2 with patches, etc, and it worked fine.So I spent the better part of the last week downloading all but the PMDG repaints from the Aircraft directory on AVSIM, installing the newest version of every aircraft, etc. Around 1.24 G worth of data. Unfortunately, I did it all at once, instead of doing a few, testing fly, doing a few more.So what happens now? I launch fly, it gives the splash screen, scrolls up to 100 percent, them I'm sitting back looking at my desktop. No error message, nothing.So...1)isn't there some way to get Fly to create an error log?2)anyone have any ideas what would be causing this so that I do…

I've added new minipanels for the Flyhawk and Hawker! In addition, I've added autopilot activation from the Flyhawk and Hawker minipanels as well.I've just uploaded this file, so it may be just a little more time before they are available.BTW, the first two screen shots were taken using Chris Wallaces jpeg DLL. Whilst flying the default scenery from Gisborne (NZGS) to Napier (NZNR) there are several square blocks of water close to the coastline after Wairoa. There are no such blocks of water in reality.What are they supposed to represent or are they just an error in the scenery?Flyfisher :-newbie

Hi, I'm about to install Fly2, incl patches on my system.I still have a working copy of Fly2k.. can I use any of the 500 Megs of add-on Terra-scenery that I currently use??And can I use the maps that came with the original Fly, or do I need to download new ones?Last, but maybe the question I should have asked first, what do I gain by upgrading to this new version??System: 1Gig PIII processor, 384Meg RAM, GF4-4200 128 Meg video card,runs MSFS2k2 and Fly!2k with no problems..

Lost my earlier thread--Has there been a fix to solve the exit to desktop if the TBM 700 EFIS source selector is clicked on?

For Captains with my British Airways 757-236 repaint, I have just posted version 3 of this livery. I've corrected the graphic problem with the night lighting of the rudder. If you do not use just the rudder lights then you won't see this issue. Rudder lighting with landing lights is fine. The new file name is BritishAirways757236v3.Pete

I just installed DirectX 9. Good news is that it appears to solve the texture "flicker" on some aircraft when Environment Lighting is on. I realized that I'm still using the TRIDX8TL.dll file in my graphics settings. Is there a substitute that I should be using instead?-DK----David KohlFly! I've been noticing since I upgraded to v2.5.240 that the longer I fly, particularly when flying over long distances, the more RAM Fly eats. It also begins to slow down (this would be an obvious side effect of Fly taking up more RAM).As you can see from my signature file, I have what I think is a pretty powerful setup. I'm on XP Home edition. I upgraded to DirectX 9 today, although have been experiencing this problem since I installed v2.5.240 update.I flew from KSAN to KSFO - not such a long flight. When switching from Fly!2 to the desktop (using ALT-TAB), I then checked out my memory (CTRL-ALT-DEL) and Fly took up nearly 900 MB of RAM. I'm not sure what info to post here…

I was making a quick browse through the forums for the day and noticed this one had a corrupt index and you were only getting a couple pages. I cannot stress enough that when any of you see something like this going on, please contact us through email. Many times if we are very busy with out real jobs outside of AVSIM or just too busy working on something else on the website, why may not have nay idea there are any problems and you guys are just posting messages to the wall, so to speak. I'm trying to get sb to work with fly2k. I have been able to log on and communicate by private message but unable to tune to a controller frequency or send my flight plan. I'm using sb2.3beta (sbfly.exe) on XP and have followed all the instructions that I can find, including amending the register via regedit. Can anyone help, or is there a manual. I couldn't find the files on Vatsim, I downloaded them from http://files.fsnordic.net/files/sbpc/Program_Files/ so perhaps there's newer files. Thanks

Hi all,I've just bought a copy of Fly!2 and am having a few problems in getting it to run correctly. I suspect that this may be due to the combination of hardware I'm using.I have a 3 monitor set up but have disabled 2 as I dont't think Fly supports multiple displays, am I right? I've also tried with varying combinations of the 3 displays. Tried 800X600 and 1024X768 with the same result.What appears to be happening is that Fly thinks it's displaying more than is actually visible on the screen. Thus in the load screen I see the helicopter but only a small part of the guage in the upper right corner.In the Flyhawk cockpit again I see what appears to be the top right of the …

RandallJust wanted to catch you before you start on a fix for KFTW, if you haven't already. I already had AK's tm_ftw installed so I set up a flight from KHOU to KFTW with C4TO, and it vectored me over fws just south east of KFTW and then lined me up for approach to runway 34R.See attached pics (might be a little dark cause sun was setting). I don't have a clue why yours didn't work but I thought I would at least let you know about this before you got too involved in a fix.Regards,Robert

Hello all,I spent a lot of time repainting, but I mean A LOT of time... Thanks to Leen, I learned how to repaint small aircrafts, which are a twich harder than airliners.. For the first time in my life I did an Icon file (it's ugly but at least we can see my repaint) and I did the side views as well, I'll upload tonight.cheers

With Didier's upcoming flight planning, VolNav, there will be the option to "engage" the volNav created flight plan while FLY2 is run with the "persistent world" start up option. What this option does is it remembers exactly the status of where you left the plane before exiting the program. What this means is that real virtual pilots can use this mode to literally live with the plane as it takes off from one airport and lands at another, without ever worrying about using the adventure, the "saved simulation" or the Teleport option or the default start location. When I try to connect to the Server using the Multiplayer button it seldom goes beyond the checking stage. If it does connect and I click on weather to download the Metar data I get the error message "Forbidden 403" It used to work quite well, I don't know what I did to cause this problem.

I've noticed on a few Simflyer's airport conversions that it is better to leave taxiways deselected since the taxiways in the Simflyer's scenery usually do not appear. You can tell the difference by the concrete texture. Simflyer's is completely different than the default. Deselecting taxiways will usually allow the default Fly II taxiways to appear. The problem is that occassionally at least one runway is displaced from it's location related to the default taxiway. So the question is, why is it necessary for FSImports to change the default runway database, in effect repositioning runways at some airports? It also affects the ILS and NAVAIDS pods which I understand is nec…
