Hi all, The pink P-51 (which really exists, if you don't believe me check on airliners.net) is available... I hope it pleases you, I know the west view is not perfect, but since I'm leaving next monday, I won't have any time to try and corect it... I am trying to set winds at various levels, something very easy to do in Fly2, but I don't know:1) What does the "create shear level" option mean?2) Apparently, if I set a wind at ground level, it is propagated to the higher flight levels, and even if I redefine the wind for any of those levels, I still get the same ground wind? Is this a bug/limitation, or am I missing something?3)When I was an MSFS user I used to set my weather through FsMeteo, a great add-on that downloads METAR and higher level winds data from the INTERNET, and using Peter Dawson's FSUIPC, sets it for fs2002. Is there any way of doinf the same in Fly2? I believe InfoMETAR only sets low level wind laye…

I hate to say it but I am still having big problems with crashing out to the desktop - and they don't seem related to the "file not found" problem.I have a basically bog-standard Fly2 p240 installation, except that I have around 5x6 grid-tiles of Terrascened scenery around WA state and some extra airport pods and 3rd party planes - but no funky DLLs or anything like that. My system is a Athlon XP1900, 392 Mb, GF3/64Mb, Win2K. Normally the system is totally rock solid even running CPU-intensive software and games.The symptoms are that anywhere from 30 seconds to 20 minutes into using Fly, the sound stutters and I crash out to the desktop with no error dialog or message t…

Hello,I'm new to this forum although i'm watching it for several months now. I started with Fly2 sonn after release in Germany but it was no fun using it with my old computer (PIII, 500 Mhz, TNT2). Now I got my new PC and tried to install FLY2 again (looking forward to all the news that had happend in the last months).And the first time, I got problems with the install. Fly chrashes down to desktop right after the "Bell loading screen" and sometimes shortly after the "turnaround" of the Cessna. In other cases it not just only crashes to desktop, but restarts the whole PC. I just don't know what to do...By the way, I freshly installed FLY2, then patched it to 230, then to …

The fly ii editor has started crashing to the desktop. I'm not sure what change has caused this. I'm patched to 2.5.240.This seems to have started after I installed the terramodels application (or, at least, this is when I noticed the problem). When I ctl+E into the editor, the crash (with no messages) occurs when I select the left-most "add new object icon" (i.e., the house). Selecting the other object icons works as expected.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Rick

I noticed that aircraft icons appears twice in the menu. Any suggestion to fix it specifically the un-podded aircraft. Notice in the attach pix that there are 3 stearmans (2 stearmans are originals and the other one is the RH livery). The p51 even after I re-installed it (not repainted yet).Any help. Thankschrisrpll

Hi Gang, I'm getting this error upon loading Fly2. Everything loaded and ran fine the last time I ran Fly2. I did download and install two of the latest repaints of the P51 though. So I went ahead and removed the hist and autosav files in the aircraft & system folders. Below is the error I'm getting. Has me puzzled. Any ideas? Hello everyone. I tried to post about this and was told to post here and in the FS forum.Here is my dilemma. I have FLY 2K and it was given to me as a gift. I loved it as it was the one sim I had ever used. But I knew I was only able to use it on a basic level b/c anytime I tried to use terra server and all the various pathces and such, they never worked. The only thing I was able to do was use some of the planes found here.NOw I got my new computer and I wanted to get FS2k2. How is FS2k2 different from FLYII? It was a beautiful morning here in the Dallas area, temperatures in the mid 40s and not a cloud in the sky. I was at an early morning soccer tournement for my youngest daughter when my cell phone rang at 7:57am. A friend was calling to tell me to look overhead because the shuttle would be appearing at any moment on it's way to a landing in Florida. Moments later, our entire group was treated to a spectacular image. Coming from the west was a brilliant blue/white glowing fireball leaving a long smoking trail. Several of us noted the 2 or 3 fighters that were escourting the shuttle. It took several seconds for it to dawn on me that there was no way fighters were keeping up …

Hi,I have problems at certain runways when approaching on ILS glidepath when I am right above the threshold that the runway wents down .I try to land and have no chance to reach the runway even by quick descend in time - at least I crash.The problem is also mentioned by manually landing without ILS.If I am landing from the other runway side I have no problems.Problem accures for example at EDDN and EDMA.Can anyone help ?Cord

I don't know what it's called but I'm referring to the pop-up menus in Fly! that are used to teleport, select aircraft, etc. A few months ago I changed the basic gray background skin for these pop-ups with a clear one developed (I think) by ROTW. I'd like to switch back to the gray because with the clear version I often can't make out the words against a backdrop of Fly! scenery. My problem is that even though I backed the original up I can't remember what the file is called and can't find it.
