Hi all,I'm trying to give a shot at Traffic Database Builder to see it could be set to produce adequate traffic to for floatplane, mainly having them to actualy float and not roll or slide on water surface. Something that Ttools fails to acheive in its present form, as it doesn't handle the surface type parameter in its airport datads as TDB can and does. Shure whish that Ttools would be updated to tame that switch as well. This prog is so convivial where the SDK so dry!Now before I can do anything with Traffic Database Builder, I have to be able to, at least, execute the command line properly! I've been using John Stottlemeiere's US schedules for my Domestic flights, and Now I'm manually going through WorldAI to obtainthe international flights to add into these schedules :) it is a boring tedious process, but very doable. Has anyboy thought of automating this process or already done this?Thanks,Tim

Hi, could someone kindly help a biginner?I have approximately 50 aircrafts in my FS folder. Using AiShuffler, only 15 kinds of aircraft type are assigned to AI. Is this a kind of limitation that I have to live with or is there any way to larger the selection of aircraft type? Wonder if I manually edit aircart.txt can make it.Appreicate any help.Yuki

I am currently working on ECGG (Manchester), based on Gary Summons' scenery. Having assigned all the gates, I had to randomise them in the 'Parking' list manually. Because the list was so long, my randomisation is not that good! Could the AFCAD program do this for us in future versions?RegardsM

I've seen several different numbers regarding the maximum number of AI aircraft allowed in TTools. I'm at 207. Several posts said the max. was 255? What's the latest number? Or has it been established at 255?As more GMAX ac are developed, I'll be faced with a dilemna. Anybody have any advice?ThanksRick

With the completion of Aloha Airlines (which I placed at AVSIM and on my website last night) all of the data available through the DOT for tracking N numbers is now completed. Unfortunately there were only 11 airlines in the list and the list includes only domestic to domestic flights.There were some hurdles that have yet to be overcome and will probably remain as to correct them would be monumental. N-Numbers for American Eagle are very questionable as are the N-Numbers for Southwest and American Airlines. For a reson totally unrelated to AI Traffic, I opened LTAC (Esenboga, Ankara, Turkey) in AFCAD. There I saw two runways. They are both 12303 feet in length. However their widths are different: 197 and 148 feet. Now we know FS uses the longest runway for takeoffs and landings. What does it do there since both are the same length ? Does it take the width into account to choose the runway ? That would be a new information (unless it has been reported before and I missed it). I am expanding my home airport, CYVR Vancouver, BC, Canada, with real gates and size. I came with a idea to park AI aircraft to the maintainance hanger. There is a large parking space for maintainance outdoor and two large bay for heavy aircraft inside the hanger.I created 5 outdoor AI parking spots and 2 indoor parking spot with AFCAD, they are shown clearly on the AFCAD. When i use FS2002, i see no aircrafts park there and i witness the movement of AI traffic for one hour and still no one move to the maintainance area.Would anyone please help me to get the maintainance AI parking workingSen

Hi,i downloaded TTools and some other programs like AI Traffic. I want to insert a flight from Dusseldorf (EDDL) to Munich (EDDM) with a new POSKY A 330-300 in my own painting into the AI flightplans. I read the instructions and followed them. But I couldn't see a A 330 departing from Dusseldorf at the time i chose. Can someone please help me.Greetings from GermanyJan

The possibility of sending military and cargo aircraft to military or cargo ramps seems - if believing the Microsoft SDK - to exist.Is there any possibility to change the aircraft type of a special airccraft to cargo or mil without touching other parameters? I think of somethink like an additional OPTIONAL parameter in the TTools input files, or similar.Bodo van Laak

Hi, does anyone know of a way to alter / reduce the ATC tolerance in FS2002 ATC before a go-round instruction is issued to either AI or my aircraft?In real life, it is played a lot closer than the current FS2002 setting which seem to cause way too many unecessary go-rounds.Either that or we need to speed up the AI aircraft's exit off the runway!Thanks, John.

Hi friends,I've done an scenery for my local airport (SAWH) that among other things is a bit displaced from where Microsoft have put the default one.I wanted to make the AI aircraft and ATC to utilize the new layout, so I've edited the original (MS) file in AFCAD to reflect the changes.In order to not overwrite the default BGL, I exported the TXT from AFCAD and compiled it with SCASM (as suggested in AFCAD docs), then placed the BGL into my airport Scenery folder and loaded the simulator.Here are my findings:1. I recently read a post where somebody had discovered that at an airport in Turkey (Esenboga, I think) both runways were exactly the same length, and BOTH runways were used. The runways were not parallel... i.e.- they were in an "X".This person discovered that when the winds were favorable to a particular runway, then that runway would be used.I took this logic, and I have been adjusting the length of the crosswind runway at some airports to be identical to the longest runway. Hi,Re the various posts suggesting hills/high ground being a problem. Can confirm this is the case. Have a file where 10 a/c take off from Shoreham (EGKA) and return. Using the default scenery, rwy 21, there a hill to north at 500ft. I have no problems, landings are fine.When using UK mesh scenery where the same hill rises to 650FT then I get the overshoots and disappearing a/c. Using rwy 03 over water never any problems regardless of scenery used.Rgds Ron

Hi all. My first post on this forum. Well during the weekend I started working with TTools and Afcad. I'm mostly interrested in creating small aircraft traffic to some real and some fictive smalltown airports I designed and, coming soon, to some water landing bush sceneries (hopefully!). In my first attempt I tried a 2hre VFR sched. from Jean-Lesage (CYQB -Quebec - controled) and CSR3 (Victoriaville - 4000' asphalt - uncontroled) about 60 miles south-west. So I had to use Afcad to create an overlay airport for the later. I added CSR3 to airport.txt before recompiling. I made f.p. for the C-172-182S, Pa-180 and Beach Baron. Every one went fine and worked as expected.Next, …

I edited an airport and after testing it out the aircraft started to really bounce around like in a potato field even when the speed was less than 5 kts. This happened only on a couple of spots on the field.not on the runway though. This also happened on a downloaded afcad file.Anybody had the "shakes" lately ?

Some help on how I get both runways at say Heathrow operational. Standard FS2002 uses 9L/27R to land and take off as it is the longest runway. I changed the length using AFCAD to be the same as 9R/27L and closed 27R for landing. Now the AI planes are using 27L for landing and take off. How do I get it to use 27R for take off while leaving 27L for landing?ThanksNigel

I finally got around to installling all the new POSKY 767s and A330s at the weekend. While the A330s and the 767-300s work fine, the 767-200s do not work at all as AI a/c. I've made all the modifications that have been recommended on this and other forums.What happens is that the a/c starts up, begins its pushback and turn, then disappears. Any ideas anyone?RegardsM

Hi .Please help.:-zhelpWhen I use TDecompiler it opens the aircraft, airports and flightplans no problem.TCompiler also works no problem (no errors), so far so good.Now I use AI Traffic V.1 and open FS2002 traffic bgl and that works OK.(I want to delete some flights from EGLL).I make my changes, save project and compile FS2002 traffic bgl with drop down menu and I get an error to say parameter is missing.:-hmmmI open the flightplans.txt and found the error, made the alterations and saved the txt file but as soon as I press ENTER to exit the DOS screen where the error was the .txt file dissapears!!!!;(8How do I get the alterations to save?:-8Ian Edwards :-wave
