What is the minimum separation between 'holding' to take off and 'to land' AC, is it a fixed (adjustable somehow, maybe..) figure like 1.5-2 miles?.I'm asking because i added traffic, around 10 AC, to an untowered local GA aerodrome in UK, EGSG, with 5 minutes separating flights ( vfr FL 027 egsg-egsg circuits) but it seems i cant have cessna's doing VFR circuits as the airborne AC never seem to get far enough away from the holding to takeoff AC for them to be cleared to GO. If the plans are changed to IFR then the much larger (wider) circuit allows every one to get airborne and everything moving. To anyone can help me..., I downloaded AI Traffic (ait10.zip) from Flightsim.com.Once downloaded I install and run the program.After edit the ai flight plan then compile it back to traffic.bgl.Then I start FS2K2pro and the blue screen appear..."A Fatal exception 0E blah blah blah (I can't remember) on 0028:C0059D2D." Then I terminated FS2K2.Then I restart my pc...start FS2K2 blue screen still there.It's been a week now and the blue screen sometimes shows, sometimes FS2k2 run.In 10 time I run FS2K2 7 times I got the blue screen and 3 times FS2K2 pro runs.I went to Microsoft website to find some troubleshooting guides to fix the problem but until now I didn't found any way…

Hi, This is my first post to this forum. After reading the instructions for TTools, this forum is very much needed. I know it will take time to learn and implement this program into flight simualtor. I have downloaded a couple of airport files that are already set. One being "KSEE" in El Cajon, Calif. My question is, and I do have plenty but for now I'll keep it short, must I be using an aircraft that is an AI aircraft? After installing this airport I expected to see a ton of activity when I arrived there but instead it was dead. As I said this is new stuff and it seems that once one gets the hang of it, it will be thrilling. Is there another "good" tutorial on how to use…

Hey Tom. That photo of yours at LAX is driving me nuts Did you remove all of the default Fs2002 aircraft from the Fs program and replace them all with the early stuff? I like that idea of just the early aircraft moving around. Thanks for your thoughts Tom.Frank.

Just made up an airport installed it to Fs2002. I then used afcad to add taxxing and taking off aircraft. But when I go to set up a test flight plan like is suggested in afcad instructions My airport does not come up on the list of airports to use. I would think the scenery maker I use adds the proper AFD info in the bgl file.You look it up in the create flight section of fs2002 and it is recognised there. Any thoughts?Frank.

I reworked the gates at the Maui airport to match some great scenery that I downloaded. However, I've noticed if I'm parked next to an ai plane (default 737) and they receive clearance to taxi that they get stuck due to the presence of my aircraft (default 737). The only way to allow them to move is to slew my aircraft pretty far away. The thing is, even when I'm parked in the gate next to them, visually they should have plenty of room to turn around and taxi out.Is this somehow related to the radius I've read about? How does the sim determine how much space an ai plane needs to turn?Many thanks,Scott

Hello everyone! I am having problems changing the airport 42VA. I want to change the runway from grass to concrete and I want to add some taxiways. Problem is, after adding the stuff, I start FS2002 and I know it worked (I can talk to the tower that I added) but I can't see any taxiways! When I ask the ground for taxi instructions the pink line looks right where the taxiway should be but there is no concrete there! Also the runway still appears to be grass. Did I do something wrong? Hi everyone! I need some help here if you guys dont mind. I've been playing around with these two programs and theyre really great. I'm working on my home airport... KFAT. Ive added many parking spots and a few gates. (I have a total of 95 parking spots and gates right now... Mostly GA parking. I will probably add more as there are a few tarmacs that I have not completed) Now, my problem is that only most of one tarmac is filled with aircraft. Only 10 "Small GA" aircraft out of like 60 total. NO Medium or Large size GA planes are taking the appropriate spaces, and theres only one Small Gate aircraft (737). Hi all, I installed without problems the utility "Yroute"; no doubt it is very intuitive and simple to use but when I go and set the flight departure time in the specific box it is transcribed in a wrong way in the flight plan text file ( hh.mm.ss instead of hh:mm:ss which is the right notation) and not accepted by the Tcompiler.thanks for any suggestionRoberto from LIRP

Hi, there are many flight plans that are out there available for download that represent real airlines flights.My question is if I was to import them are they made in a way not to take up the parking spaces?For example let's say flight from A to B leaves only once a week so does it mean it will be sitting in the gate and taking space for other aircrafts while it's out of service?orFlight from A to B runs only once a day so all the other hrs would it be blocking the gate?ThanksAndy

I have run TaxiSpeed once, and it worked fine (I think). I set the speed at 27 kts then. I'm finding that just a bit fast (seems just a little unreal that I am almost unable to keep up with AI on the taxiways ... LOL!Has anyone had a problem running the program a second, third, fourth time ?

In reference to the topic 'AI' acft not following tower instructions ...As I was doing an approach into Orly (with the weather loaded before flight commencement from Gatwick), I was vectored for approach rwy 25 ILS at Orly. When I contacted the tower I was advised to make right traffic for the opposite end runway. This is what I've been hearing with AI acft from time to time, but til now I hadn't ever received the instruction to an aircraft I was flying - crazy!Anyone else had this, without any weather changes?

I am using AI traffic tool ( very good program) and I assign tail numbers to general aviation planes like the Cessna 182 for ATC to use. When I fly the same Cessna with my own tail number (diff from the AI number) I notice the AI aircraft has my number painted on the tail even though ATC uses the number assigned in the AI program. Is this correct and is there a work around? Hope you understandThanksBill

Hi,I know that AI Traffic has it's problems, but this seems to be the stangest that I encountered. :-eek I have extensively modified the default parking spaces and taxiway routes, and created an overlay to enable simultaneous runway operation and usage of different terminals at the St Petersburg, Russia airport (ULLI). The problem is that after landing, the aircraft that is supposed to use the overlay does not follow the set route, but leaves the taxiway and joins the route of the base airport.
