Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a project called Plan2Sim — an AI-powered flight planning tool for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The idea is not to “replace” SimBrief, but to simplify parts of the workflow that feel slow or repetitive — especially route building, fuel setup, and switching between multiple tools.

	What I’m trying to improve:

 faster route generation using AI

 simpler fuel calculation

built-in METAR / TAF without jumping between tabs

export to VATSIM / IVAO + 60+ formats

 always up-to-date AIRAC

 fully free

	You can try it here:
https://plan2sim.com

I know many of you have solid workflows already, so I’d really value honest feedback:

what’s the most annoying or time-consuming part of your current planning process?

where do tools like SimBrief fall short for you?

Not trying to sell anything — just want to build something genuinely useful for sim pilots.

	Appreciate any thoughts 👍

So I had a stream deck but for the life of me couldn’t get it working with AAO so I ended up returning it and as I already had purchased AAO decided to try out the XTM, I’m glad I did as well because it’s so much easier the the SD for a computer novice like my good self. So there’s a little bit of the history now the question!, I like flying the large jets my current favourite is the Boeing 787-10/9 GE + RR just love doing the long haul (Heathrow to Los Angeles yesterday), so the thing I need to know is how do I set up a profile for each variant of these aircraft…do I use the A320 base setup and somehow bind it to the 787? Any help is appreciated if anything I’m happy that I got AAO + XTM working at all as I really struggled with it but seems somehow easier with the more modest hardware. I don’t fly any of the prop planes I prefer the jets. Thanks for your time guys.

	Good evening,

I have a question about MSFS having just bought this weekend!

I can't post on here about my problem so tried the MSFS forum but that says You are not allowed to view the requested resource?? What is the point in Microsoft having a forum which you cannot post in???

I have a simple question that I can't seem to ask anywhere. I have been part of the flight sim community for well over 10 years and getting no help whatsoever.

Does nayone have any help for me in how I can post a simple question relating to MSFS when I can't even post in their own forum (and yes I have signed up and signed in)

I am at the end of my tether again

	Kind regards

I got a 727-200 to work but there are no Dash8-100 for fsx or p3d laying around. I found a flyable model but don't want that. Is their a way to convert a flyable to just an ai. this is the text: Default FS9 DeHavilland Dash 8-100 Converted to FSX. I have a Piedmont Henson texture that are bmps and a schedule but just trying to put together the pieces.

I've enjoyed using AIFP to create many flight plans serving military airfields as well as adding mil_combat and mil_cargo parking using ADE. I also enjoy having boat traffic, both commercial and naval, leaving my plane at the airport and launching my boat. I'd like to create boat traffic and installed AI Boat Controller; however, the software is confusing (compared to the ease of AIFP) since it seems that a floatplan needs to be created from scratch using a text editor to add every detail. It doesn't seem possible to open an existing plan to see what one looks like (the samples included are informative) but having no template to follow and facing the task of listing every detail in every line of the file is daunting and discouraging (for me, FORTRAN and other coding). I'm spoiled by the ease of AIFP and wondering if there are any ways to simplify the creation of boat traffic using AIBTC.

Evening folks...

Have been spending a better part of 2 weeks creating my own flight schedules for a favorite airline.

I am done and the result is over 1500 flights in the winter season including various aircraft and their versions, carriers and what not...

The issue is, that though I enjoy the ability to create a AI duplicate of real world schedules, I obviously am prone to typos and other errors....

Power Pack by UT2 offers this capability as well as TTools to download available online schedule databases.

Editing it though.... Is a nightmare... having to delete or edit each flight and its details one by one..... when a particular flight can be flown up to seven days a week but the departure time could vary.... the equipment as well.

Can TTools import the UT2 db & dbi databases as well?

I am trying to figure out how to do global spreadsheet type editing of these databases once having created them.

A tool for this purpose would be a great time saver as well used to create your own database that could be imported via ttools...

Hopefully someone out there is having the same problem I am and has the grey matter to offer a solution...

thanks in advance and Fly safe....

Hi there. I have FS9 and I am trying to add a flightplan for a flight I recently took from LAX to IND on Delta Air Lines, This particular flight has not been updated with any AI flightplans yet. With the help of Flightaware.com I was able to complete the flightplan. The flight is operated using a Boeing 737-900ER. I used Ttools, but I am getting an error message: "The altitude format is bad (should be 0 to 1023)"

Here is the flightplan:

AC#1,N833DN,1%,WEEK,IFR,1/12:25:00,@1/17:40:00,320,F,2221,KSEA,1/20:10;00,@1/23:28:00,350,F,2308,KMSP,2/00:34:00,@2/04:12:00,320,F,2321,KLAX,2/05:30:00,@2/10:20:00,350,F,0877,KIND

The altitudes are correct. I don't see any error in the format. Can any flightplan experts help, please?

For anybody doing or adding United Express AI flightplans, Skywest has restricted their operational altitudes, something to be aware of:

Dear Pilots,

You’re well aware of our ongoing efforts to provide awareness, training, SOP updates, bulletins, and more regarding high altitude low speed events, and as an airline we have made continual improvements. However, even one event produces unacceptable risk. As professional aviators, it’s important to understand that any occurrence of these types of events is a failure of our responsibilities as a pilot and undermines our credibility as pilots and as an airline.

That’s why effective Monday, June 22 at 08:00Z, an amendment to our Operations Specifications will mandate the following operational limitations:

CRJ200 operations are limited to FL280 and below with a minimum cruise airspeed of 250 knots indicated airspeed

CRJ700/900 operations are limited to FL350 and below with a minimum cruise speed of Mach .74 or 250 knots indicated airspeed (whichever is less)

Please reference FOAB 062115-1 for full restriction details. Compliance with these altitude and speed limits is mandatory. It’s important for you to know that strict monitoring will be accomplished by our OCC and the FAA.

I know this may produce new challenges; if you have questions, please ask. We will continue to keep you updated and Flight Ops leadership is available to answer questions. As always, our primary focus must be the safety of each and every flight. Thank you for remaining vigilant and focused on this essential responsibility.

Since WOAI doesn't offer Caribbean Airlines I decided to try and add the airline myself. Found a tool called 'AI Flight Planner':

Other things I've found for Caribbean Airlines:

1. Flight plans

2. Models

3. Repaints

Using the Tool everything works except the program finding the AI aircraft. I've downloaded the Aircraft models needed and installed them in the 'Aircraft' folder like I would any other aircraft (Aircraft with subfolders for the repaints and the .cfg entries to reflect the different paints). What's frustrating is the hunt for the actual model as most downloads just contain the paints.

I get down to compiling the planes in AI Flight Planner (3.1.00) and the darn thing will not recognize the aircraft. How do you get AIFP to recognize the aircraft for use with the Flight Plane? Everything else works except the ability to associate the aircraft with the plans. It looks like it just wants reference to the paints versus the model itself which makes no since. Thanks in advance for any help with this. I thought TTools was the best option for adding aircraft/AI Flight plans but people are reporting problems with that option as well. If TTools is better by all means let me know.

Thx.

Hi

I don't know if this is the right forum. Today I downloaded the FSX freeware http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=184705 German Helgoland. I found this freeware very fine without mistakes (I found mistakes often in freeware sceneries). But one thing is bad: inside is a trafficfile for traffic between EDXH and EDWG and this file is a FS9 traffic file! It kills all the Fsx traffics in the near. You have to convert this file for FSX

So I only would say be careful!!

Ok, so I did my first UT2 airline schedule update using powerpack.

I downloaded Royal Jordanian 2014/15 schedule from the library and it seems I did so correctly (Already have all aircraft required).

Simple question is, when I start up UT2, it shows up separately under Traffic options/Aircraft repaints as UT2Weekly_dk_royaljordanian_wi14-15.

Is that correct? Should it not be included in the UT2 weekly schedule?

Also, this means (I hope) that the old UT2 schedule is deleted?

Thanks for any and all insight in advance.
