When we are using Traffic Tools with such things as the WorldAI10a and such, I am trying my best to make some logical sense out of how we are identifying airports, aircraft, and airlines.I know we are generally using codes that are created by two different industry organizations:IATA--the International Airline Transport AssociationICAO--the International Civil Aviation Organization.But we are not always consistent as to which of these sets of codes we are using.After attempting to cross reference the IATA and ICAO codes for Aircraft and Airlines I find there is a LOT inconsistency and even totally erroneous data.How in the world does the Airline industry put up with this?…

Is there anyplace that that may have AI plans for the 1970's or early 80's. Lots of airlines then stateside, lot more variety of aircraft. I'm trying to populate some of the smaller airports with CV580, ATR and Barry Blaisdells AI 1900s. The Gmax CV580 works very well so far. The ATR is a gmax also, but only in Air france colors. Still haven't figured out painting that well. It is called lack of talent.

AI aircraft sure does some weird things. I have my hometown airport set up with realistic flights using AFCAD and TTools. USAirways flies a commuter flight to KPIT with a Dash-8. The plane takes off fine from runway 27, but everytime it is supposed to take off from Rwy 9, it disappears just as it starts taxiing to the runway. All my other aircraft can use Rwy 9, including a commuter to KPHL (a B1900). Does anyone have an explanation for my problem? Thanks,Ray :)

Is the 727 by Trinkle and Gary Carlson the model everyone is using ? Does it work good ?Your suggestion for a DC-10 and 757 would be appreciated.ThanksSteveCYYZ

I have attempted to make an AI flight do a patterntake-off and landing. I'm starting at KFCI and concluding at the same airport 10 minutes later. It seems to NOT be working.Anyone tried this before .... how do I make it work?Thanks ...

Tom,Can you take a peek at a section of my flight plan I posted here and help me trouble shoot a problem. I have created 2 additional layers for KCVG so that I could control parking locations of certain carriers. This much has been accomplished. The problem I'm having though is all of the DHL aircraft that I have programmed to arrive late in the evening and depart early in the morning is screwed up. From the flightplan below, you can see that I'm attempting to get all DHL aircraft arriving in Cincinnati after 11PM or so and back out before 7AM as in the real world. However, when I load flightsim, I can be at KCVG at 6PM and the entire DHL ramp is filled with DHL aircraft …

Hi,I have decided to take the plunge and totally redo all the AI flights based on the GA flight plans (B_AIGA11.ZIP) and those found in WORLDAI.ZIP.In WorldAI.zip there are a LOT of aircraft... my question is can anyone suggest some sites for getting these AI aircraft. Obviously I am trying AVSIM and FLIGHTSIM.COM etc, but anyone know where some of the more unusual can be found?Many thanks in advanceMike

I need your help !!!I can't get TT's to complile the Worldwide AI Project Sixth Edition plans. I need it for AI Traffic Purposes as the WORLD AT Traffic Zip has a DELTA A-319 Listed and did not know DELTA uses the A-319 which is pretty much the same as a A-320! So If anyone willing to do this for everyone I would appreciate this! It does not half to be top Quality work as it's going to be for AI Traffic only, but at least a decent paint job! Does TTools allow random AI and routes? I had misread the MS TT SDK documentation. I thought that the MS SDK actually allowed me to enter nav data to create the actual path the plane would take on a particular route and therefore was saying that the MS SDK sounds more versatile. Well, I was wrong. Sorry bout that.Anyway, with the MS SDK, you either have random AI or you have routes defined by you. Not both. This of course is no good since if I enter downloaded route data, My FS world will be practically empty.So, does TTools allow for both at the same time?BTW, Airport W92 and KGAI, both non towered airports are now towered and alive with AI due to the wonderful AFCAD.Pe…

Hi all, Using AFCAD I have added a tower at an airport that previously had none. I then programmed flight plans from and to this airport using TTools . The end result is that I now have atc control at this airport. I have traffic taking off from this airport. The problem is that incomming traffic seems unable to land. They arrive in the control area (apox. 10miles), get clearance to land, and make it to final. Then at about 0.5miles they declare a missed approach.They then complete the circuit(if VFR), if IFR they are vectored for a visual approach. They again make it to final, and the same thing happens. after the third attempt,the aircraft just dissapears.It appears tha…

I have started experimenting with the incredible worldai10a.zip worldwide ai flightplans package.I haven't managed to locate, download and install all of the 1000 aircraft yet (!) but I have a few repaints loaded in the liveries of the major international airlines, and have added some AFCAD downloaded gates to major airports. I added the worldwide flightplans to the default MS plans, ran TTools compiler, and went to look at the world.What surprises me is that wherever or whenever I start, Landmark Soar and Pacifica seem to have got to the gates first, and I see very few of my international fleets. So who gets first choice of the available gates if there are more aircraft…

Sorry to bother everyone, but i tried to import some airports with AFCAD (the PACAF ones). I replaced all of the pacaf airports, the i ran TTools 1.2 Now i am missing alot of my airports. they show up in the create a flight screen, but i can't choose them. TTools tells me that i'm missing all the airports i updated with AFCAD. Is there a simple(!) fix to this, or do i have to mess with a bunch of stuff. I have very little time before i deploy, and i wanted to fly some PACAF routes before i go.Thanks in advance for any [email protected]

I am trying to get this airport up and running with AFCAD. The problem I am having is that the 1.) AI will taxi to the normal node in the middle of the runway and then try to take off from there instead of taxiing down to the end of the runway and then turning around to takeoff. 2.) To get around this I put in a taxiway down the side of the runway to each end. However when the AI got to the runway they line up on the edge of the runway. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?? thanks.

Need some advice here.I set up Concourse C at Cinci to except only regional jets (Comair) and gave each spot a radius of 75.90ft.I set up Concourse B to accept both 737's and MD80's. Gates were given a radius of 95.04ft for the 73's and 93.95ft for the MD80's.Here's the problem: The RJ's are parking at Concourse C as hoped. However, so are everyone of the 737's. None of the 737's are parking at Concourse B. The MD80's are at B as hoped.Does anyone know why the 737's are parking at C? What sizes should I use?
