After days of confusion i found the problem with AiShuffler using my a/c's to reckognize, this all because of capitals.When planes get reckognized it uses the atc_airline.dat file which all is in upper case, after changing all the aircraft.cfg atc_airline lines into upper case names, it doesnt get reckognized by the file air_nat.cfg (the file that catagorizes your airlines according to countries) because this file uses lower caps. After editing this file to upper caps every single aircraft gets reckognized.Now i can die peacefully :-)Cheerz,Paul

HowdyI am near ready, I've added the many gmax aircraft to FS but can't decide which plan pak to use. I'm wondering if I could get some recommendations. Which do you think is the best. I 'd like busy but don't want to go overboard and have my airports brought to a crawl. I take it that I need to make a decision cause the aircraft title needs to match the aircraft.txt file.I have downloaded the Worldwide AI Project Sixth Edition, and the Worldai10a paks. If not one of these is there any others ?I was also wondering what happens if I don't have all the aircraft installed that make up part of these plans ?Will it substitute ?Thanks in advanceSteveCYYZ

Hey all I just downlaode the WORLD AI 1.0 Traffic Zip for AI Traffic! And it has alot of Airlines and flight plans! I was just wondering if anyone has used this file for thier AI Traffic yet?? How does the traffic look after installing these flight plans! I will only Install the areas of flight plans where i fly to! But would like more feedback on this great looking file!?? I would appreciate feedback about this file and how it looks in FS2002! It sure looks alot easier to install these plans and put the correct airline and planes to them, as i have been doing the default AI traffic file to make the correct plane to the right areas etc...and it is taking me forevers as my…

Because im close to insanity also in this thread my question:I am now in my 3rd week of trying to find out how to add AI traffic, plans, bla bla..And already passed on importing real flightplans and going 'for i hoped to be' simple Traffic shuffler...Ok i also using AIscedule, which gives me incorrect atc_xxx in the cfg files, and for 2 days now changing every airline correctly and adding it to airlines.cfg.Then AI scedule says that all the atc_models and atc_types are wrong??..Every delevoper put there BOEING or AIRBUS but this program says its wrong, after finding a big table with all sorts of weird names for the atc_type i did a test with one atc_type and nope still wr…

I have made some AI flights and compiled them w/ TT1.2, but when I decompile them or try them in FS2002 the times are different...by an hour sometimes! I remember the documentation stated that times would be adjusted, but when I set up flights at 30 minute intervals, I keep getting the flights grouped together a few seconds or minutes apart around the hour marks. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do differently to better sace the flights?Thanks in advance!BTW, TT and AFCAD have about doubled the immersion factor of FS2002! Thanks Lee!

The text is in Danish but that's not important as it does not have any meaning?!!Usually TTools give it's own error, but what is this?! Before this happened TTools did not recognize AC#11 it said it was not in the aircraft text but it is?!!!Please help!I get this error:

Mike Lyons developed a great program when he introduced Airport ID Swapper which saves alot of time when downloading and importing all the airport overlays that now exsist.However, as more and more flightplans become available has anyone come up with an Aircraft ID Swapper. Each persons AC#xxx list is usually a little different and a swapper would save alot of time when adding the large flightplans.If I missed it somewhere and the program exsist could someone direct me in the right direction.Thanks

Guys and Gals!Has anyone seen any AI traffic at KSAW (Sayer AFB, WI)?I am trying to develop an AI airport at nearby KMQT (Marquette County) and cannot see any traffic here or at the above being the nearest 'MS default'. Would appreciate any feedback :-))Peter Leadbeater,Air Pierre, Warrington, UK.

So if I use one persons AI tracks, say for NW, and I try to use anothers for another airline, or one that incorprotates NW wiht another one, it wont work correctly?

I have created an overlay for LAX which works in FS2002 but after I add the 2LAX entry (cut and paste after changing the name from KLAX to 2LAX)to the airport text file, save it and try to re-compile I contiue to get an error message while the compiler is running. If I remove to entry the compiler works fine. Any suggestions so I can get my AI traffic to use all the runways at the new combined airport?

Hi all, Using AFCAD I have added a tower at an airport that previously had none. I then programmed flight plans from and to this airport using TT Tools . The end result is that I now have atc control at this airport. I have traffic taking off from this airport. The problem is that incomming traffic seems unable to land. They arrive in the control area (apox. 10miles), get clearance to land, and make it to final. Then at about 0.5miles they declare a missed approach.They then complete the circuit(if VFR), if IFR they are vectored for a visual approach. I'm working on the US Airways Schedule to agree with John S. other schedules (Feb 1-7, 2002)I have all of the Hubs in Excel. no problem :) Here is the data format: Date Flight No. Tail Dest Time Arrival 02/01/2002 1480 N107UW STT 11:15 CLT 02/01/2002 124 N108UW BOS 16:50 CLTI'm sorting Date, Tail# and Time. As soon as I add time, it goes wacky- no logic to the times. Cells are formatted as time, and when I sort by time first, it works. When I do not even include time as a sort, I get the same results as sorting with time in slot 3.Any ideas?Tim

What size radii should be used on the gates in order to restrict the types of aircraft that can use them?I want to keep certain classes of aircraft to certain gates- IE 737, A3xx, 757, MDxx, as opposed to ERJ's or A333's.Tim

HI all!I thought, after reading through the readme files about 30+ times so I could understand what in the world the writter was attempting to say in some cases, I thought I had everything ready to go. I was VERY wrong.I compiled a quick test setup from the worldai0 (not the actual name, but close to that) for DAL, USAir, AA. This alone made up a 10k txt file for those flight plans. Now in game all I have is those 3 groups, and at least in Nashville, they are ALL SWA, I assume due to the low # of gates there. Where am I suppose to find full packages of planes to use with this?I downloaded an AA flight track for it, but there is a huge list of planes I ened. Is there somewhere where I can download a bundle of all planes required?

Twice this week, the 2nd time being this evening, I have had the TTools Tcompiler lock up while trying to compile the flightplans.Turns out it was an aircraft hanging it up. As soon as I removed the involved aircraft, I was able to compile again. Put the aircraft back in and bam, (sounds like Emeril doesn't it) compiler lockup.I don't remember the first ac to do it, but the second was Nate Tenney's (hope I spelled that right)Hawaiian B717. Beautiful looking and flying aircraft, but Tcompiler does not llike it at all. Was d/ld off avsim and specified it was a GMAX a/c. I have been editing Liverpool Airport using AFCAD , when I go there in FS2k2 I don't have any ILS, DME even though they are listed in the file for EGGP (Liverpool). Could I have deleted something, and is there any way to get them back?I thought about reloading the appropriate AFD file from the CD and then reloading EGGP from Afcad do you thing that might work. I apologise if there is an obvious answer in a manual but I cant see it.Thanks Terry

This thing is driving me crazy! I have run it just as it unzips and it runs fine, spewing out flight plans for a long time. Then I add another airports option to merge the new ones I have made AI-ready with AFCAD. Nothing! It says something stupid like "TrafficDatabaseBuilder is not an executable program nor a batch file, etc." So, I take out that option I just added making it , I suppose, just like it was wgen it worked. Newbie question again...... I'm running AFCAD and AI Traffic. How using these tool's is an easy way to ad an airport. I have the airportthat I want to use, redone in AFCAD but I can't get AI Traffic to recognize the airport so I can make traffic for it. Am I missing a tool here or just being Dim again :-lolBrian

I'm trying to create a feeder system from regional airports to hubs in the US, Mexico, and Canada using Dash8. Yet the only Dash8 available is the USAir Ex Dash 8.Perhaps you could put your good talents to use by repainting Dash8s into some of the other Express type systems out there.So, are there any United Express, American Eagle, Skyway (Midwest Express feeder) America West, Continental Express, Delta, etc. systems paint schemes that could be applied to the Dash8 skin?Even though there probably aren't too many that use the Dash8, it certainly would be OK (in my mind) to replace the default liveries with something resembling reality.What do you think?Rick ( my wife like…
