Question about your gmax tower your used as your macro example. Is the base an object rendered as a line, a box textured with alpha channel textures, or indivdual objects for posts?If this was done with a lines rendering, like we used to do in fsds by creating an "open" polygon...could you share how to do that? Hey guysI thought about expanding my POSKY painting to scenery design...I used to be really into it back in FS98 days, I did a couple airports.But anyways...Can I use Airport 2.6 on FS2002? Or is there a better free program? I wanna redo the default Little Rock Adams Field to start with. And if I build an aiport....how do I get it to lay perfectly on top of the default one? Hey all, I made an airport using Airport, can't remember the exact version, but it was 140 or somthing like that, the one I have now is 149. I made the taxiways using polygons, so I could make centrelines on top. I made taxiway edgelights using a road, a layer higher than the taxiway polygon, using a road, 1 feet wide, so it was in fact an edgeline and edgelights at night. The thing is, I used the same procedure on a new airport using 149 and the lights do not show. Any ideas on how to make the lights? I have a question concerning an ILS I wish to add at an airport. I have tried and tried, and can't seem to get it to line up properly.Springfield-Branson Regional (KSGF) just recently brought online ILS for runway 14. Using the data I retrieved from Airnav.com, I used three different programs to attempt to insert this ILS into my scenery, and not a one of them has worked properly. It winds up setting the ILS about 2 1/2 miles north of the airport, no matter what I do.I've used..well, actually, just two...programs to place the ILS. I've tried Architect, which has a seperate function for ILS, and I've used Airport 2.60, and disassembled the BGL file I created with Archi…

Georgio or someone posted the ability of FSRegen to now allow ground polygons to be made in GMAX. Can someone tell me are there any differences from normal 3d GMAX objects? What is the method?Also does this ground poly still suffer from the FSDS 3mile vis limitation?ThanksShez

Don't you think it's time that you added a GMAX Model Library so we can start sharing some GMAX models?Some people might not be into making scenery but can contribute in creating GMAX models.We need our own library. I've just learned enough about how to use Airport For Windows (AFW) to create flatten bgl files to repair problems with pavement at airports. It seems like overkill for such a small task, and a bit inconvenient to use.So, I have written a small AWK script to write the SCASM script, using a simple text file with the airport elevation and coordinates of the vertices of the area to be flattened (counter-clockwise order). No AFW needed. Whenever I try to load the Mooney in "Create Flight" I get this error message from FS2K2: "Scenery library object not found".It gives me a few hex numbers belonging to the objects that are apparently missing: 0x47BC6DFB, 0x11D2F98A, 0x1000849C and 0x2AE60C5A.I reloaded the aircraft-folder from CD, but that didn't fix it.Does anyone know where to look on the CD for these missing objectsor is able to translate those hex-numbers to files in which these sceneries are so I can look them up and re-load them?Thanks for the help!R.

Since I dont have a clue how it all works, maybe someone in here with some time to spare can work it out.Recently I saw a screenshot in the screenshots forum where someonefaked an nuclear detonation. It was at New York. Its not that what I am after :-) but the size of the effect wasbig.So, one could do this also with a smoke effect, to display a forrestfire. Preferrable in the are close to an airport to make the approach a bit harder.With http://www.echos.ch/eod/index.html one can with FSEFFECTS add effects, thus smoke also, to scenery.Who can try this out? The effect need to be BIG of course!I am sure there can be other ideas, like chimney smoke, of from powerplants?Joha…

G'day everyoneJust wondering whether anyone had a fix to a problem I (and a few others) have encountered while working with the FX SDK tools. In placing an effect into the FS world using BGLplacer.exe and BGLC.exe, I have found that BGLC.exe will not convert the .csv file generated in BGLplacer if I have stipulated any co-ordinates in the southern hemisphere. Everything else is fine, but if i put a "S.--* --.--" into the lat/long, it will not generate a BGL.Does anyone know a way of overcoming this?? Thanks for any helpCheersJarrad

I would like to change the ground textures in FS2K2 especially on the aprons and the grass textures, especially at KORD, KSFO and EGLL.Is there any way this can be done. For personal preference I quite like the grass textures at LIMC Milan Malpensa, is there anyway of copying them across? to KORD, KSFO, and EGLL. I guess this is new its from M$ its on zone.msn.flightsim sight.has anyone else tried this? What did you think? I thought it would be descent cuz its a 20+meg download...but I was less than impressed. I thought it would be like the fly-in w/lots of planes and tents...but not much added on at all...it did inspire me to start a new project...oshkosh.

Hi AllI still C'ant Solved The Problem to make a lamp light on my scenery ther is'nt a light beam but on thes I give up. I try "FSREGEN" and another tutorials but notheng works ( maybe my english )so I change the way and try to make a ground polegon thet will have a night texture with "plane object"- Gmax and get shadow I Change the code in the *.asm by delting the "shadow_call object_0_scale"and "addcat object_0_scale, 8" I compiled it with BGLC and steel have the shadow, ther is 2 screenshot of my test's PLEASE HELPDavid
