    Is it possible to find out what specific texture is used in a piece of default scenery? I am trying to match some things up and am having a hard time with it. I have searched through the WORLD texture folder and have not been able to find a good match for the default textures I am trying to merge my scenery into...it's a forest by the way.Thanks

  3. I have tried the tuorial on creating the Decals and Lake and have had no success. I can't figure out what's going on here. Everything seems to work correctly in FSRegen with respects to selecting a material, processing, etc. I've checked elevations adn they are correct. The only thing I wonder about is the calculator. When you put in input coordinates and then hit calculate...what are you supposed to get? I see that if you select LOD13 from the pull down list, the calculations switch to something different. So what is the differnce between using the calculate button and picking the LOD13 from the list? Anyway, does this have any bearing in the process after you ha…

    Just like the subject, how do I make the triangle in gmax? which material? To get one I had to open a sample aircraft and delete everything until I had a triangle left. Lots of things done for that.

    My question is in respect to 3rd party scenery in which the author may have incorrect or duplicate menu entries in the drop down box for scenery selection.For my own personal use, is there a tool available with which you can edit the bgl to correct or amend the text?Perhaps this question has been answered in the past, but I find no record.ThanksDom

Now I have a new one ;-) How can I make a light beam, or iluminate an area, such as the ground, without an _lm ground texture?     Does anyone know if there is any good scenery for Minneapolis St Paul Intl Airport for FS2k2??I always fly out of there for 'NWVA et al' but I cant find any good scenery except the stuff for fs2000 which my comp cant handle and dosnt work good with fs2k2 :(any suggustions?

    HiI'm having majors problems with AFCAD.I have painstakingly re-created my local airport, Aberdeen/Dyce (EGPD) from scratch using A4W.I then got a hold of AFCAD to change the traffic patterns and the taxiways etc.Finding the file that the original EGPD in EURNWAFD, AFCAD wrote to the file no problem.FS2K2 fired up, rebuilt the first of the 2 indexes and crashed on the facilities file. It does this every signle time I try it.I exported the airport to a text file, SCASM'ed it (2.88) to a BGL and patched the EURNWAFD.bgl with the new one.Same thing. FS2K2 gets to 46% then resets and crashes,Can anyone help me please?Rory

    Hello,I've recently installed Paul Baines' excellant scenery of Leeds Bradford Airport. Unfortunately though, it is reporting that some of the scenery files are missing. Around 21 files are reported as missing when it loads the scenery. I have checked the release note a few times, and only Gerrish Gray's tree library is mentioned which I have also installed.Has anybody else had similar problems, or knows how I can find out what the files are so that I can substitute something else in? When the error box comes up, it's just a meaningles load of numbers!!!Thanks for any helpCraig

    hHi all I'm back, againSimply question I Think, he say's with a sense of humor!!The template obviously confines it self to the confines of 256*256 or 512*512, fine so far. it seems that if the elevation is larger than the default bitmap, the lines are reduced to fit this bitmap.Surly at this point, all is lost, the idea of a template is to know that your artwork is proportionate to the size of building it must fit. It appears that templates of different elevations are not equal in scale to one another, does this apply in Gmax.Am I using the wrong method, perhaps I need to use wrap texture templates.I hope somebody can help, or suggest alturnatives.Many thanks in appreci…

    I am asking this question in a number of different areas. I am doing some scenery for the Bolivia area. Very High altitude stuff at times 13,000 ft. Is there anyway to get the Autoget to work up that high? There is obviously little vegitation but would like it up there anyway. Any ideas? ThanksFrank.

    For some reason, I am unable to replace my grass/ground textures, and ramp/taxiway textures. I edited them all under the sections/polygon menu. I also selected the area from the map view and edit selected and all my new textures show correctly updated. When I load FS I can see the ramp/taxiway textures under the old, the groung/grass are now showing normal. Help please.     Hi all.. I'm constantly getting this error message in fsregen v020b. I amusing the latest makemdl from the SDK, and am not using middleman. I can export fine from gmax, but when I try to open the .asm filein fsregen, i am always getting the error:"This file cannot be used. (Already proccessed?)This was working fine before, and I cant figure out what I've done to make it stop working. I have uninstalled/reinstalledfsregen. Even the latest unstable version does this.     Hi everyone I am new to this scenery design stuff so I hope you can bear with me. I am using Airport for windows and I am trying to create my local training airport, which is Jandakot in Perth, Australia.I have been going through the tutorial in the readme and trying to change it to suit my needs. My problem is there is already a airport in FS2002 but it only has the 3 runways and no taxiways or buildings etc.I have been able to add new runways but the old runways go over top of mine, is there a way to wipe out the old runways and buildings? and just have a blank canvas to work with.Hope someone can help me with this.Thanks in advance.Barry Cuff.

    Hey all, I'm working on a scenery using Airport 2.60 build 149, and when I load it into flightsim, the progressive taxi lines no longer appear. I was wondering if anyone knows what causes this, or how to fix it? I tried not excluding objects (heh), but they still didn't show up.     G'DayI'm using GroundMaker to build an airport and i've got some ground textures i want to use, photorealistic style. I've been playing around with the new merge textpoly() feature in the beta 4 release but i can't get an acceptable result (no overlaps or gaps). I understand it's a beta version and this just might not be working yet, but does anyone have any advise.Thanks alot for your help,Michael Normandeau

    I want to change the V2 values for some taxi lines that I am making in Airport. I know how to view the SCASM source code and where and how to make the alteration, but how do you get this code to compile again (within Airport, if possible). I tried to load the altered .sca file into airport and it flashed the warning about ol versions of airport and then nothing appeared. Thanks

    Can anybody help, with textures using psp 7I've got digital photos of the hangers I am trying to replicate and I have built these hangers in Fsds.I use 'make a Texture Template' in FSDS and apply textures through Part Menu's. Unsure on the advantages between Polygon or Part placing of textures.I had hoped that having digital photos would save on creating textures, not that easy. Getting the right colours seems really difficult, given the light changes for different times of day, dependant on which way the elevation is facing. There must be some way of changing colours, via filters and adjustment layers. I just haven't had much success. The texture template seems so sm…

Since I stopped using FSDS for Macros, and now use GMAX, I deleted some files, but now I miss them :-( The this is: I made this terminal using FSDS, but I didn't remove crash from a light beam, so whenever the aircraft passes through the light, it crashes.
