    Hi,Does anyone know a good site to get some extra scenery for FS2002?I am after things like trucks, buses, the extra things that make an airport look like an airport!I have tried the file library but can't find any.Any ideas?Keith

    I have a problem with Toni's Agramont excelent Spain scenery (Balearic also). It seems that taxiways and terminal areas are not hardened. Taxing ATR42 by Sanches always ends with a crush (works perfect with default scenery). Does anyone have an idea what to do with that. Maybe somebody corrected his sceneries or there is a patch for this ? I have tried to fix LEIB with SCASM for free hours like it was mentioned several threads below. Does't work. Simply I'm a virtual pilot not a developer.Can someone help me ?. I haven't written to Tony after his remark, he doesn't know English.Slawek DomanskiLOTva026

    Hi,Is there any way to exclude a whole airport but to keep the default runway only? I know you can create an identical runway with Airport 2.6 but I don't like the PAPI that comes with the Airport 2.6 runways because it is very small and not easily visible and I would prefer to keep the default FS PAPI (or the whole runway).Thanks:-wave

    Hi,Here is a photoreal texture in black and white I want to make as terrain texture in FS and it works perfectly. However it is in black and white and now I am at the stage of puting color on it... As you can see I placed a small image in color showing a portion of the city and I am looking to make the black and white phototexture has colors similar to this color aerial photo portion of that same city.Do you have any advice or tip on how I can put colors on it to make it look true to life without loosing the details in it like roads, fields, streets etc?     I wanted to question you about if could be made a program (or it already exists) that allowed to change the geographical location of a BGL made with GMAX. With this, the authors of airplanes with GMAX could upload to the WEB sites their airplanes in version BGL (besides the flyable MDL). The users could discharge them and to change them the geographical coordinates to locate them in the scenarios that they want as static airplanes. From already thank you for their attention. Jos

    I've noticed that the lead in lights for the JFK VOR visual approach to RWY 13L is missing from FS2002. I'm sure that FS2000 had them and I would love to have it back. Does anyone know if this is available for download anywhere? If not could some scenery expert create it for me?Thanks

    I am working on a building in GMAX and created an API thru FSRegen and placed using A260B154. Now the strange thing is that the building disappears when viewed from certain angles. The GMAX coded building itself when exported directly does not have this issue.Do you think the API created by FSRegen has a coding problem?ThanksShez

    I'm working on a user-friendly compiler / decompiler for terrain scenery. Right now I'm able to completely decompile flatten data directly from BGL files. In my findings, I found out a small (okay very small) discovery.Christian's docs points out to use a value of 0-255 for points in the LOD-13 blocks. I looked over a lot of the default scenery (fltxxxxx.bgl files) and the lowest value used is actually a one.Like I said... a very small discovery ;)Lee.

    Hi! After learning how to do repaints and modifying airports using afcad, I have the traffic at worldwide airports at an acceptable level. I am using G-max to create objects (buildings, terminals, etc) no problems here. Can't wait to be able to add api's made from g-max into scenery, thanks to fsregen!!. This is the hard part for me. I am having a hard time using excludes, flattens, can't get them to work properly. Funny, I am using G-max o.k. but can't do something this simple!! Having heard rumours that FS2004 is only going to be compatible with Gmax produced objects, I've decided to try and learn GMAX.     Hey again!I am very new to this scenery design stuff and I was just wondering if it's possible to make custom runways? I made up some textures that are very accurate according to the Canadian Aeronautical Information Publication. FS's runway lines are totally different than what we have here in Canada, and I would really like to see this changed. If its possible, I will put it in my Sault Ste. Marie scenery.     There are so many talented designers in this forum. I have read over 17 pages of posts and before I jump into the scenery design world, I have a quick question. I have read about using Airport 2.6's "excludes" to remove default objects. If I want to use GMAX to build my buildings, do I need to run Airport 2.6's "excludes" to get rid of the default objects and then import the GMAX objects I built? In other words, can GMAX also remove the default objects in FS2002?Thanks, all ...Jay

    Can anyone give me a clue as to how to accurately place buildings in FS2002 at a specific heading? I've got a cabin I've created in gmax, and which is centered exactly on the home grid in my project. When I export it as a bgl file, I give it a heading so it will face in a particular direction. I determined the heading by slewing a plane around in the place I want to put the building and recording the coords/heading info. When I view the scenery I've created in FS2002, the building is invariably facing in a considerably different direction than I was expecting.     I have a couple of questions regarding texturing in gMax. 1. When doing large buildings I want to place a texture that is basically repeated over the length of the building...150 meters. The way I have done it is to break the building (box in gMax) into 10 sections. I then apply the texture to each section seperately using the Edit Mesh and Unwrap UVW modifiers. This works until I get the building in FS. Then, I can clearly see where the sections are. I've tried to make the textures look seemless in gMax, and they do, but not so in FS. Does anyone have a good method for doing this in gMax? I've also tried to make a box 1/10th the size of the building. I apply the…

    Hey all, I have this satelite image, it is nowhere near perfect, it is at a 1:25000 scale (IBGE). I will have to edit it to make "FS like" in terms of colors, etc. What is the best way, not to only edit it to make it FS like, but to then apply the texture over the default terrain, without messing with elevation, simply applying it.     Hi,I've recently found that installing Airport2000 into FS2002 actually work quite well. The airports, while nowhere near as good as modern day payware scenery, is generally much better than defaults.The main problem was that the scenery.cfg file couldn't be updated and in Paris the ground is bleeding over into the scenery.Does anyone know the flatten command for this scenery?Many thanks,Ian

I'm just wondering if anyone with suitable GMAX skills could create a light for an apron, casting down a beam of light that reflects onto an a/c which is taxiing into it's parking bay.I'm wondering if this would work.It would solve those old days of lit apron concrete, and a black a/c body.Will
