    Hi team,Firstly, let me say how nice it is to be on board. I have a question regarding scenery. but I will advise you all that I am VERY NEW to this part of FS2002. I have got the hang of aircraft, sounds, etc, but I am just starting out on scenery.Firstly, I do have a lot of the apps required (Airport 2.6 etc) but what I need to know is this;I have imported a fair bit of scenery that was developed for FS2000, and hats off to all of the creators out there, because your work is brilliant.     My directory for api/projects/textures keeps changing??? Very inconvenient as if it does not remember my default preferences I keep having to hop around teh directory structure to find the relevant directory. Preferences point to the relevant directories but everytime I for eg. save an api or paste a texture from a particular directory, that last directory used becomes the current directory for all future categories...??? Now I dont remember this happening previously....only since a new install. Using Win2000.Anyone else having this problem? Solution?ThanksShez

    Well, here they are:I have an object (a simple box) but one of its sides is being considered as two polygons (one with two facets and the other with three). How can I 'merge' both polygons into only one? And after I do that, is there any way I can simplify the polygon? (because two triangles are enough to draw a square, five is a little too much for me).Thanks a lot.Rafa

  13. Hi All,I have created a test airport (actually an attempted recreation of KRYY out in the middle of the Atlantic) and was very successful in creating the runway. However, using the Create Taxiway feature doesn't seem to result in visible taxiways when the compiled scenery is viewed in FS2002 (although runway shows up just fine). The taxiways show up clearly in Airport 2.60, but not in FS2002. All settings in the Create Taxiway dialogue are default except for the width.     MS has released a new SDK for GMax, that includes a tutorial for creating a house in GMax, how to apply the textures and how install in FS2002 scenery. zone.msn.com/flightsim/Very good tutorial.They also released SDK to make cab files.Dave/KAZO

    I have nearly completed my first pure BGLC airport and will hopefully upload it into the file section later today. I will include the source BGLC files, new include files for MASM/BGLC, and a fairly rough description of how to do it. This should be of interest for people who want to learn how to use the new mesh features (water/flatten polygons and decal polygons).I will hopefully also have some time to test my airspace bgl and wipe out the last bugs.     Hi people !After public request, you can now use FsRegen to modify the GUIDs of existing objects. Why ? To make them NOT working. Why ? So you can make objects with the same GUIDs as the ones you change, replacing all objects of the standard library to your liking...BACK UP YOUR FILES FIRST !! FsRegen automatically does it for you, but since it's alpha I would be cautious. I tested it on my systems, but you never know....Another thing that slipped my attention was that the MS libraries increment the FIRST two segments of the GUID for successive objects in a library.     I placed some effects with the BGL Placer application in Effects SDK and the resulting file that it created was an Excel comma seperated data file. I dragged this to the BGLC to compile a BGL but get nothing.Is the BGL placer supposed to create an Excel file? It seems to me it should probably create a simple text file. Also, will the BGL be created inb the same folder as the BGLC application?tanks in advance for any suggestions or info!

    I would like to make small contribution in making pains of learning gMax easier by recommending site with quite good tutorials for fundamental techniques used in gMax. www.passion3d.com. But do not get distracted by some really cool pictures of wide computer screens. Head straight to gMax tutorials and download at least one to try. I have them all and play them often. They have no sound, but surprisingly IMHO that does not diminish their educational values. Ted

    I have released my current version of ACT scenery for the Australian Capital Territory in Australia.
