    Installed scenery of Cuba, cusc2002.zip.When starting FS2002 the flight was loading and a message popped up stating that...Scenery Library Object Not Found.0x4E6F7661, 0x54726565, 0x4C696231, 0x00000006I noticed that a couple of buildings didn't have textures although I loaded the required textures into FS2002Texture.Searched my system for "0x" anything and came up with nothing close to a series of numbers that would give me indication as to where to start looking.Does anyone recognize these numbers or know to what they refer?Joe

    Well, its been a bit of a struggle, but I've finally gotten somewhat comfortable with GMAX. I've been immersed in studying every tutorial I could find, plus skimming the gmax bb....last night I figured out finally how to texture! Not that I have nothing more to learn! LOL cuz right now I have this, time to study the makemdl sdk, and George's fsregen!B

    I have noticed at various US airports that I am getting another layer of scenery coming thru the gate areas where it should be cement I see another texture. As I roll along it seems to chase me !!! I have noticed this at KCVG and KRNO . Can anyone help me out and tell me of a fix. Thanks

    I tried compiling a scenery bgl with the new MakeMDL and when i click compile, i get an error about halfway through the process saying gmax can't find MakeMDL. Then i went back to the old version that came with fs2002 pro and the same thing happens. do you think its anything to do with having Windows XP or the old (v1.0) version of gmax? I know MakeMDL is in the correct location, and i can enter the coords and everything, it's just that last bit. help!

    Are stopways included in the listed runway length? One runway at KPIT (the longest one) seems to include the stopways and the runway right next to it doesn't. Is there a way to find out how long the stopways are or do I have to guess?

    Hello all you lucky experts;I'm doing my first Airport with Airport 2.60 ... a simple grass strip with a windsock and a hangar and an NDB. I have a separate polygon for the entire field, with a grass texture.1) Is it possible to change the flatten size with the mouse? if so, how?2) I placed a pre-existing hangar7.API on the field. It shows up on the Airport 2.6 window, compiles OK, but is not visible on FS2002. What basic procedure have I forgotten?The Windsock and NDB are where they belong and appear in FS2002 just fine.Thanks for the help.

    As a Max user for many years I'm more than comfortable modeling with gMax, but beyond that I'm lost. I create a building, a car, a tree, whatever -- now what do I do? Can someone point me in the right direction as to how I get these objects to show up in FS2002, at a location I want? I'll greatly appreciate any guidance.

    Hello, I have been unsuccessfully trying to install this scenery for the last two hours with no success. I have updated to Gerrish Gray's trees which the author of the scenery recommended to keep from getting scenery object errors. This is what I have done.. I added an entry at the bottom of the addon scenery entry in the scenery cfg file.. ie[Area.121]Title=Addon SceneryLocal=Addon SceneryActive=TRUELayer=115Required=FALSERemote=Exclude=N54 23.31,E18 26.61,N54 22.24,E18 29.7,allI also placed the EPGD2001 scenery folder into the Addon Scenery folder.. By going this route, FS2002 will not pick the scenery up. The only way I can get FS2002 to generate the scenery on startup…

    Hi,Many people succeeded to make AFCAD files with multi ruwnays usage and when I looked at their AFCAD file I saw that the closed ruwnays are for landing and the opened one for take offs concidering they are the lonegst. Now here is my situation (I attached to this message a snap shot of my airport) I have 2 runways 03/21 and 17/35. I closed 03 and 17 to leave them for landing and left 21 and 35 opened for take offs as they do in real life, then I cheated by giving both same length so ATC will use them both (21 or 35)for take off depending on wind. However what happens in FS is very weird: ATC clears my aircraft very well to take off on 21 and to land on 17 when wind is i…

    Hello all, I am in the process of revising KONT (Ontario Intl) and I have finished with the gates but I saw a file somewhere here on Avsim where one could choose more than one active by closing one of the runways.     Well I have more questions. I have been making adjustments to my project and have used a tutorial on "toprob's" site. I have used the line/spline to make the outline and will use the mesh edit to raise the height of the terminal. Man this terminal has all kinds of right angles. :dohDo I need to make a upper/passenger level and lower/ramp service level for texture reasons? How is the best way for me to put the textures to the terminal?     SCENE FReaks..I need help!!!I have installed many sceney's in the past,but this one tops it all.!!!IN FS2002 I went to install KTPA and YSBK scenery which I have downloaded from the net.After installing and configed with scenery LIB in fs2002.I have noticed a row of grayed out building or some form of structures surrounding newly installed scenery's.There is no problem within the airport apron {all looks fine}but just outside the airport ,I see all these funny looking shapes like Buildings "I think"which are all grayed out....Q1> How do I get to delete them???q2> Should I install scenery in the scenerb file instead???thk mungabarry

    Hello everyone!Has anyone figured out a way to add forest fires to FS2002 scenery using the effects? I know smoke has been done, but I'm looking for big fires. Also, has anyone found a way to simulate water bombing...so that maybe the fire effect goes out when a water effect is added to it? I know someone was working on this a few months back, and I'm just wondering if they've made any progress. Thanks!

    Okay, So I have this airport(pictured below)Its just an asphalt strip with a parking area and a turn around section at Rnwy 5. AS others have, I too have noticed that when my planes taxi to Rnway 5 on the asphalt, they get oin position on the grass and take off. Can one use AFCAD to have the AI treat the asphalt as a taxiway, turn around and then takeoff from asphalt rather than the grass?Pete

    Is it possible to extract an object from a Bgl and use it on its own? Let me explain - a few years ago Bill Honnold and Don Humphreus produced a great Santa Barbara scenery for FS98, complete with mountains (they were simply pyramids, but for their time were as exciting as mesh is now). Along with at least one scenery guru, I've since tried to contact both designers but to no avail. (Who knows? They may even read this...) Since then, Al Wheeler produced his superb CCCoast which extends to Santa Barbara, but doesn't have the Santa Barbara Mission, which was one of the really good buildings in Bill & Doug's SB98 scenery.     I need some help from some scenery/texture gurus PLEASE!I build air files and panels so I don't know much about textures and I hope I came to the right place. The problem is aircraft models do not roll properly on taxiways and runways - there is too much friction between the wheels and the two listed textures. Is there any possible way known to modify the texture files so there will be less friction? I'm working on a FS2002 B727-200 air file that was constructed from many hours of data obtained from a 727-200 full-motion simulator. The 727 will roll down taxiways and runways under idle thrust once a little power is applied but this obviously doesn't work in FS2002. I…

    Ok gurus, here we go... Does anyone know if it's possible to add skidmarks to certain airports. Maybe with a macro or SCASM or gmax or whatever. I'm not a scenery designer so... Any ideas? I mean I don't want to make 1000 landings on a certain runway just to make it looks a bit more realistic for just this Flight Sim session.     I'd like to start makeing my own airport in noman's land (say antartica) to practice makeing the airport,position it, adjust the texture, set up the ils,and the rest...What should i use to do this?A more specifical question:FS lacks a light pattern near the Appennini mountains near Reggio Calabria that is necessary for a correct approach at the airport, how can i add it to the standard fs scenery?
