Can someone help me with this problem. I been trying to save some downloaded airport layouts in afcad. After everthing has been saved and when I start FS2002 Pro. FS2002 automatically exits after indexing all the scenaries. Why does it do that ? and does any have a solution to this ?Please help

New features will include:-Ability to grab lat/lon from FS2002 via FSUIPC. Can FS2002 and it's future versions get any more real as it can be??? If you are taxing down the ramp and look out, you will see at every hold short point a set of flashing lights, which are usually wig wag white lights. These LHSO lights are found at every major airport and I was wondering if it is possible to create these for FS2002. If so, has there been any scenery developers willing to venture into this new realm?Shawn Anderson

I have been trying to build some fairly simple structures using Easy Object Designer. A subset of what I am trying to include is a simple coloured cylinder. But when I feed the .api into Airport for Windows, and compile I get scasm errors.If I don't colour the cylinder it compiles OK. I can't find the Poly Abl commmand in the Scasm docs, and I am totally stuck.I attach the api code with the error log at the bottom.If any of you experts out there could point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful David

Hey all.Just getting used to texturing in GMAX. I've been using the UVW unwrap-planar map technique, as described on a New-Zealand based site (On Target, I think...). My Question is, can I assign 2 BMP's to the same object, so the sides are from one and the top is from another? I have tried changing the BMP when I allign the texture the way I want it on a certain face, but GMAX then changes all the faces to the same texture.If there is a way to do this, could you please explain in simple terms... as I am a very simple man!Hope all that made sense.Alun

Hey,I'm currently working on a small project which involves (among other things) the following windmill pictured below.I have successfully made the rotating animation of the blades. However, I want to turn to top part of the windmill into the wind. To do so, I have divided the windmill into two GMax files. I have tried to create a building with reflective texture without success. Can FSDS v2 only create reflective textures for aircraft and not scenery objects?Regards,David S.

I just installed Gerrish Gray's tree api's. Does anyone know how to use them in FS Architect? I am having trouble setting the required parameters such as tree type, and tree scale. I would appreciate any advice or help from you more experienced designers. Thanks in advance.Bob Brown

Hey gang,I go to airnav and my DOD flight books and they say the runways at Little Rock are 43 and 42 degrees. This is still a very early version, but there are some significant additions. It will handle more complex shapes than the first version and also allows multiple polygons. It generates the asm file about three times faster. After Dick's thoughts about TerraScene-generated water masks, the program can now import TerraScene water masks. However, this has opened a whole new can of worms, because these are much larger image sizes (larger than 8192*8192) with lots of lakes scattered around. AutoAsm can handle these images, but not completely reliably. There are potential problems, for example, when two different polygons enter the same LOD13 square. I need to do some more work…

I have been able to generate the ASM and INI files for a project ok. When I drop the ASM file into the BGLC I cannot trace any resultant BGL file. Can anyone help please?

I just did my first phototerrain project with Misho's wonderful program. Unfortunately it's somewhat misaligned because of my original coordinate boundaries. How can I move the photoscenery over?Below are two screenshots showing what I want to do. One picture is an FS screenshot showing how the default FS runway aligns with the photoscenery. As you can see, it is offset. The point circled white should be where the aircraft on the runway is. I entered the coordinates I wanted into TB and aligned a specific point of the scenery to those coordinates. TB shows that the photorunway is located at the point the FS runway is, but this clearly isn't so in the FS screenshot.…

If anyone cares to verify or comment...The grass texture as used by default at KROC (Rochester NY) is replaced temporarily with a "lit" or city type _LM texture just at dawn and dusk, at night the textures is completely dark like it should be but at dawn/dusk is very annoying. Anyone else see this at other airports or have a clue how to fix?Thanks.
