Hi all,First, using LWMDraw, is it possible to overwrite an existing stretch of shoreline? I know regular excludes don't do anything to shorelines & waves, but there's a stretch of coast that I'd like to tweak for a planned project. Is LWMDraw only useful for building new lakes/shorelines?Second, I'm having fun with textures in Easy Object Designer. I've been trying to build a 55gl drum, just to learn EOD. The shape & size of the simple cylinder is fine, but when I try to texture it I get a mostly black cylinder with my texture squashed down around the bottom of the sides! What's the trick with EOD's cylinders & textures? Thanks in advance - I've just started b…

Hi AllIn dedication to Richard (Rumba or Rumbaflappy) Ludowise for his excellent advice and help he's given to myself and many others, I've made a scenery release in his name, "Rumba Lake". This is a created lake scenery area near Anchorage, AK (created lake means it's not a real world area) with an LWMPoly lake (I used my LWMDraw tool) for default FS2002 water with shoreline (using Falko Dienstbach's SCM2VTP program tool) and a runway on a hillside with humps and dips for those challenging landings. I hope you all get a chance to check it out and hey Richard, "This Buds For You" THANKS BRO!!!Here a download link:http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/webads/dow...d/Rumbalak…

In FSDS1 the polygon number could go up to 750-800 before Airport started yelling "Object out of range" when trying to compile the Airport-file. In FSDS2 this number seems to be somewhere around 300! Can anyone confirm this, or give some advice how to get rid of it? Of course, the object can always be split in several objects or exported directly as a .bgl-file, but that's not what I'm looking for as an answer to this topic. How about those of you, who have made APIs from GMAX-objects, anyone know what the polygon maximum number is here?

Recently I have encountered lots of difficulty to make rotation animation work in gMax. It is simple animation of horizontally oriented cyllinder rotating about its verical axis. One time it works, but then another not. After many attempts I think I have pinpointed the problem that there might be strict correlation between: a. reference coordinate systemb. use pivot point c. and options in Customization Preference Animation.Does anyone have any experience in this subject?Ted

I have called 3 standard library macros from FS Vehicle library: air_mule , air_plow and fuel_truck into my scenery. They all show up and are in places where I placed them, but two macros loose their textures when viewed from the distance. The first macro though is fine wheather observed from far or up close. Mip mapping is off.Any idea.Ted

I just made my first gmax building for use in scenery. I successfully compiled and placed it in my scenery. Everything seemingly worked well until I saw it in FS2002. Apparently the textures DO load, but they are not shaded until you get up close. So if I'm 500 meters away, it looks totally black. As I get closer, the textures are lighted towards my perspective so that as I get to within 20 feet of the building, the textures are almost fully lit. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks for the continued help,Enrique

Hi all, having just flown more then two hours the wonderful photoreal rioja scenery of Julio Estenfania Estefania (380 MB), i am conviced, that the combination of photo-real texture + autogen + custom objects is the most realistic way to represent landscape. Julio put theveral thousand objects by hand with the annotator- a methode wich seems not very viable for bigger areas. So two questions about better tools : 1.is there a known way to make object placing easier or more automatic ? For trees it should be possible to draw bigger areas of woodland directly in the sclice and have more dense setting of trees then the annotator can offer. For buildings, maybe a qood c…

Hi!I'm on the way to design intelligent lights for my holdingpoints. They should only be visible from the TWY and should change from red to green if the RWY is free.I solved the problem with the visibility with the Monitor3d command, but I don't have any iea how I could solve the problem with the green lights.I used the MonitorRWY command to test if the RWY is free and then change from red to green lights. If the RWY isn't free yet the process should repeat checking if the aircraft is in the area in front of the HPT.But it doesn't work. Here some lines from the code:Area( B %1 %2 22 )and so on ... :Begin Monitor3D( :Standard -50 50 0 50 -300 0 ) Call( :Lightsred ) Call( …

Hi there.Just a while ago I have had initial success in generating LWM rivers and lakes from E00 files (arcinfo export files) using a MapBasic little program por MapInfo.I'll post the source when it's done, but before that I need to clean up the code and the procedures. The thing is that when I've tested for a small area of 107 polygons spanning a couple of cells, it has worked beatifully. But FS has crashed when I tried loading all the information for the region I'm trying to recreate, namely Andalusia, in southern Spain. At first I thought it could be because of concave polygons, but then I've read elsewhere in the forum that LWM shouldn't have too much of a problem with …

Hi,As I heard on this forum, in order to avoid having a textured polygon exclude autogen, one must move the refpoint to a place where there is no autogen (sea for exemple) and then use transformcall to bring it back. Now I am using Architect2002 and it compiles with FreeSC. So I do not know how to edit the code so it will make the transformcall happen with FreeSC.here is the code of my textured polygon grid compiled in architect throuhg FreeSC:Area( b 33:49:2.241296 35:29:23.355961 20 ) RefPoint( rel :TagPhotoGrid 0.304800 33:49:2.241296 35:29:23.355961 v1= 37040 v2= 5797 ) RotatedCall( :rot 0 0 0.00 ) Jump( : ):rot LoadBitmap( 0 …

Hey everyone, As everyone knows, the airport scenery for just about any non major airport is pretty non existent. I fly a route from KMSP-KBIS fairly often as I fly this flight every year, and though the taxiways are accurate at KBIS, the buildings are terrible. I edited an afcad for it, but now I would really like to put in a few basic buildings and jetways. Is there anyway I could easily just drop a few basic terminal buildings down easily (KBIS is very simplistic) and maybe a parking lot or 2?-Cal

I now try to make a model og scenery out of this and i get the following error:Start! Hi allI started designing my scenery in Arch2002, which very conviently adjusts all Area() and Refpoint() Lat/Lon's, if you change the Header() and Latrange() coordinates.Unfortunately, as I have learn't more and more about Scasm Language I tend to modify the *.sca file and compile manually. Is there any easy way or(any way) of moving my scenery, as a block, without ammending all the lat/lon coordinates for the Area() and Refpoint() commands.May be there is a formula that certain programmes use, like Arch2002, to achieve this.I'd appreciate any help, even if long handed!!!!RegardsDave

I'm a 'newby' to FS2002 and have a few of questions. 1)I haven't found a 'one-key' way of taking a screenshot yet, is there one?2)I wish to import some UK photo scenery I made for Fly!2 and find that Misho's TerraBuilder gives me a 'read out' of 5.9m/pix for it's size (when I enter the co-ords).This surprises me as it's based on a TerraScene2 'background' and that uses Fly's 7.5m/pix scale. I know others have used TS2 images in FS2002, what re-scaling did you have to do?3)Can you 'exclude'the default building (not the autogen ones) in anyway? Lots of misplaced buildings in London for instance. Finally, I'm doing UK scenery and the UK's CAA publishes 'Aerodrome Charts'with …
